Really? If a guest ever treated the host with such obvious disdain and flagrant contempt, their career would be over. Even if the host is as offensive as Alan. How is it funny when her attitude is so unrealistic? She is supposed to be the straight character to Alan's gags.
Alan wins for once. People who are being intentionally contrary are usually too bloody-minded to spot the trap where you reiterate something they just said and wait for them to disagree with themself!
