We’re so glad you enjoyed this adventure! Thanks for all the love in the comments 🥰 Also, I can’t believe how this awesome community has come together to spread kindness! I just got this message from Matt and wanted to share what a difference y’all have made: “It's impossible for me to find the correct words to express my depth of gratitude that I feel towards you both. Thank you is what you say when you get handed a coffee through the drive through window at Dunkin, not when someone has changed your life! But however lacking those two little words may be for this situation, I have to say Kara and Nate Thank you! Giving me $100 dollars the other day was kind, generous and awesome! Mentioning me on your you tube channel was life changing! The notification sound from the buy me a coffee app went crazy all day long! It was unbelievable. And it came at the most perfect time too. In Maine I had some unexpected financial difficulties and didn't think my funds would last much past January. When we met in RI I was worried California was the end of the trip for me and I would have to work for 6 or 8 months before I could finish my original plan of riding up the west coast across Canada into Alaska and then home. But because of your kindness and the generosity of several hundred of your subscribers I can go back to my original plan. This bucket list bike trip has been my dream for years. Without knowing how important it is to me its impossible for you to know how grateful I am that (because of you) I can now continue on as planned! Thank you guys so very very much! Maybe in a future vlog you can convey to your audience how much their generosity meant to me. I watched as many of your UA-cam videos as I had time for today. You guys are great! I love what you do. I hope our paths cross again one day. Keep being awesome! Thank you so much. Sincerely Matt” How cool is that!!!!! 😎❤️❤️❤️
Kara and Nate you guys are unbelievable, tenacious, sweet, tough, courageous, unique and above all so lovable❤️❤️❤️ This video to be honest was not like all your exciting adrenaline filled adventurous videos but I always appreciate your grounding type videos which is necessary. The virtual world can mislead most people into thinking life is all high when truth turns out to be boring. Wow. What a wonderful message. Amazing that this community can make such a difference to someone’s life. ❤️ Loved the walking video. Definitely wasn’t boring Nate 😂
These accidental connections and meeting inspirational people is why it is so fun to travel! You guys spread kindness. And Matt - good luck on your quest
@@KaraandNate Hi! I went to go donate to Matt to buy him a coffee but the link doesn't work- did his site crash ?!! or perhaps there is a different link? Thanks!!
Can you just imagine when they are like 95 years old and they can say, “Hey, remember that one time we walked across Rhode Island?” Great episode y’all!!! 💜💜
I just donated to Matt, and about 5 minutes later he had another 65 cups of coffee donated. I think this video is going to really help him with his budget as he bikes across the states. Way to be selfless in sharing his story. You guys are amazing.

Nate and his crazy ideas 🤣 you guys are bonkers. You guys, you're so sweet for sharing the blog ♥️ what a legend! We'll definitely be buying him a few coffees! We're here for Kara's new mixtape 🎤
I love that you added for us to buy Matt at cup of coffee! It’s amazing how one incredible person can change your trip, I bet you changed his! This is why I love you both so so much!
I loved it too! (The most boring was the 1 person town in Nebraska! Runner up, the abandoned motel on Route 66.) Lol The greenway looked beautiful! I bought 5 coffees for Matt!
Kara and Nate, this video really touched my heart. I drove my son and godson across the country on a great end of the summer road trip from Los Angeles to Rhode Island where I dropped them off for their first year of college. Then I drove back by myself with a box of Kleenex for company. I am missing them so much, so it was incredibly fun for me to see every detail of Rhode Island as you walked across the state. It made me feel a little bit like I was there. I even surprised myself when I got emotional when you arrived in Providence and I could see the buildings they can see from their dorm room. This video was anything but boring. Thank you for bringing a mom a bit closer to her boys. xo
I'll never fully recover from that video. I was being such a mom. I literally had to turn it off and walk away for awhile before finishing watching it.
Coffee's sent to Matt, thanks for the reminder to give and help our fellow man/women in their journeys. The feeling is so good to help others, and never want anything but good karma in return.
As a native Rhode Islander I so enjoyed this video. Also big fans of your channel. The NEXT TIME you come to Rhode Island you need to actually see stuff. Walking across our small state is NOT the way to get to know us. That said, so glad you did it, and documented it so well...
Even tho the idea of making a video based off of walking 30 miles might be boring, it wasn't because yall changed it, you guys have the best personality and can make a whole room light up. I love how enthusiastic yall are and how motivated you are. Please never stop making videos, I am one of your biggest fan. When ever i am having a bad day i come watch your videos and it helps remind me to never give up. I wish you guys the best. Have a fantastic day. I love you! -Paloma
This was actually a great vlog! I love the challenges you both do to test your limits and how well you perform at it. You don’t give up & you encourage each other. Love it! Keep doing what you do. 🙌🏻
As a native Rhode Islander, this was my favorite video you’ve made haha you literally walked by my house and my parents house!😂 But for anyone who plans to do this, the “greenway” which we just call the bike path here isn’t always safe at night in certain spots. It runs along side my house and we’ve seen some scary things happen. So please be safe.💗
I live in RI. The East Bay Bike path isn't so dangerous now as it was 15 years ago. I'd argue it's worse in the barrington/warren/bristol area than in east providence or west warwick.
Does that path run through the entire state I'm a Marylander like do most ppl live somewhat by the trail and it's just like a road but for walking and is Rhode Island rlly only 30 miles across?
Your video has successfully crashed Matt's blog. I was amazed I was able to get it to load, but then I was one of the earlier viewers. I hope Matt enjoys all his coffee! :D
This reminds me so much of my 2 years as a USPS mail carrier. I walked 20-25 miles a day carrying heavy mail and packages through yards and up so many steps. Glad you don’t have thousands of stairs to go up and down.
Where I live, most of the city has kiosks; but yesterday I was at a friend’s house when their individual house type mail delivery person came by, with what looked like a really heavy bag on one shoulder, and it really struck me how physically demanding that job would be (even though routes in this town are “only” 5-6 miles long). If you were that mail person, it would be tempting to just toss any junk mail items. (Through snow and sleet and whatever, no less!)
Beautiful walk ! So wholesome and kind of you to give the bike rider a shout out and donation. Really love how you met and chatted to people along the way
I hope you guys come back though and do more in RI, its a beautiful state so many cool hiking trails and food trucks to visit. And of course so much to check out in Newport and Providence.
While you missed just about all of the beauty The Ocean State has to offer, this was as unique as a vlog of Rhode Island can be. Thank you for coming to our small state, we have so much pride living here and hope you enjoyed the visit.
Discovered you guys during the pandemic! Huge fan! Thank you for spreading such kindness. Just bought Matt a few cups of coffee and I’m sharing the link! We need more of Kara and Nate’s in the world. If you’re ever in Carpinteria, CA, I’m happy to buy you guys a cup too! Continued safe travels! ❤️ Vin
I went to college in RI and we always said it’s impossible to get lost because you’ll either end up in CT, MA, or the ocean in about 20 minutes. Hope you enjoyed New England!
I've been a subscriber for a long time, and I love your vlogs and your energy and positivity... However, I have to say that I love it even more when you let yourselves express frustration or hangry moments :) I know Nate has said that he's afraid it would come across as whining or unappreciative, but it just feels relatable and authentic to me. So thank you for that.
You know how Nate kept saying this might be the most boring video they’ve ever made? I was hugely entertained for the entire thing! Way to go guys! You managed to film you guys walking across the state, entertaining. I have to Ed it I was not expecting that. Thanks guys.
1) I don't ever think you could put out a boring video. You're perspective on every situation & personalities are always entertaining. 2) What an epic Pay It Forward moment. And for it to be buy a Coffee!?!? 3) This must have been a destiny moment.
i love this idea but i also really like that it brought up the conversation of how hard it is to commute by walk comfortably, safely, and without feeling judgment in the usa. this wasn't too bad but a lot of places you would have to either walk on the highways to get there in a timely manor. everything is so car-centric and designed in a way that makes a mile walk in an urban or suburban area complicated and unsafe. you are unintentionally advocating for this and it's a conversation more people should have! more safe and straight forward sidewalks and public transportation:-)
I walk alot where I live at there is a silent stigma but I don't really care. I have no choice since I can't afford nor allowed to drive a vehicle becuase of health issues. Walking is good for the body, mind and spirit.
Not quite a cake but a cupcake with a cherry on top - the shout out to Matt's cup of Coffee. Thought it would be a boring walk but the stops, conversations, food and people met made it special in its own way. This maybe a week after your posting date but still good. Love Matt's message - so touching - the cherry on the cupcake !
I am loving your adventures! What I love most is your trots around the world is changing lives of others. This was NOT a boring video, you both have inspired so many people to give to Matthew. You placed a smile on so many faces just giving to him! I love you!!!! Be Blessed!
Great video, as a Rhode Islander for the last decade it was great to see familiar sites. It is a wonderful state with lots of state parks, walking and bike paths as well as beautiful beaches.
Hey Nate. To answer your question. The is not a boring video. Even the real moments and sore feet are great. Keep going. I'm a big fan. Especially the vulnerable moments.
I bought Matt some coffee! I’m thinking he is going to be really surprised by the support generated from your channel. What a great thing to do for him!
OMG you literally walked by my house! How cool. You chose a great place to stop for pizza. Sax is delicious. When I figured out you guys were going to walk on the bike path at night I said oh my that's not good. This video was so fun to watch.
This was one of my fav videos from you guys! I live in Boston and I’ve always been curious about how long it would take to walk RI. I love that you guys bought coffee for biker Matt
By far the best youtube travel vloggers on the planet. I love watching these two's adventures. WELL DONE KARA AND NATE! 👏 Can't wait to see what's next.
I'm taking into account that when they show the map it definitely looks like a smaller part of the state, so that is for sure walking across the state but not the states full potential. No harsh feelings and you guys are awesome!! Have an awesome day/night.
I just bought Matt a cup of coffee. I wonder if his supporter messages and coffee buying notifications are blowing up his phone lol. I hope this really makes his day! Kara and Nate, no video you two do is boring, you all make everything seem fun and definitely entertaining.
Them: Should I walk across Rhode Island: Bing: It depends on what kind of shape you are in, the average hiker would just need 3-5 days to walk across the entire state - Google: *Do it* Bing: What? Aren't I supposed to be the more adventurous one? Google: *Did I stutter?*
I absolutely loved the pizza manifestation I will be doing that next time I'm walking somewhere! Love you guys and I have always wondered if the times were accurate 😂 just love watching you guys no video could be boring with you two! ❤️❤️❤️
@@noodles.dumplings.kimchi2878 I honestly think something like John Muir trail or the long trail might be more feasible and then they could both do it. No need for a support van, you just carry everything with you
6:57 This was the first Kara and Nate video I ever watched, and it got me hooked, but it ended up being so disconnected in my mind as being one of your videos because I didn't "know" you at the time, so I'm rewatching it with fresh eyes. Love this video! It just feels so cozy. ♥️
That was awesome! Great job on your walk! And you guys are so generous to help out that bike rider! Yes, we will help him too! You might have felt that your walk was boring, but then it was great editing to make it so interesting for your viewers! Kara, you look so cute in those glasses! 🤩
I was definitely interested when I heard walking across RI. Having grown up there, I never knew there was a greenway! Def on the books to try with my family next fall
Such a great video to show what can be accomplished when we push and challenge ourselves. The shout out to Matt was wonderful also. Just shows you that no matter what there are still lots of kind and generous folks in the world.💕
No-one: Nate: Let's see if google is correct by walking across an entire state. Kara: Sure let's go along with another crazy plan. 😂😂😂😂 I love the relationship you guys have!
I love watching you guys!! You remind me of the relationship I had with my fiancé! He passed away July of 2020, he was born and raised in Rhode Island so watching this video (despite the boringness) I love it!
My favorite way to start my Sunday, curl up with my coffee and watch Kara and Nate. I love your guys unique video ideas and always willing to help someone out, like with the coffees for Matt.
I loved this video! Y'all just keep coming with the fresh, fun and interesting adventures. I love how your channel lately has been a fun smorgasbord of experiences around the country. 💙
Kara your awesome, I freaking love you. When you were whispering to the camera how much your feet hurt and then here comes Nate saying "running feels great", Kara "WHAT"! I laughed my ass of at that. Probably one of the best moments you could of posted. Stay positive lol
I loved this video! Research is research. The pizza sign in the walking trail was perfectly placed but such a let down! I’m glad you were eventually able to get your well deserved ‘za!!!
What a crazy day, but the greenway was beautiful. It’s cool that you met the guy biking to California. I also bought him a coffee, thanks for sharing that!
I love this video. Another vlogging family WorldTowning walked the Camino Santiago and i watched nearly 30 episodes of walking. it is so inspiring to watch goals and walks like this. Thank you!!!
I promise I have a life but I have spent the last month and a half binge watching all videos from the very beginning. I am only on the Patagonia series and I haven't watched your three newest videos (including this one), and its killing me! Living life through you guys!
I have a friend who ran across the country from coast to coast, she was doing around 35 miles a day and she trained for a long time before the trek and was hurting and so swollen at the end of each day that she would take an ice bath. You guys didn't really train but you still did so well! I'm pretty impressed!
Kara and Nate, you guys are just the best! Love your heart for others and how you want to support Matt ☺️ And ofcourse, besides being my favourite YT couple, I love how you guys are such friendly troopers, and how you do such unique, inspiring, adventurous, fun things together with each other and also with friends and family! Stay safe, stay blessed, stay happy, always. Hugs from across the World, Esther 🤗
I love this video so much! I especially loved how you shows how you struggled instead of just the "good" parts. On to the next adventure! (or video that I'm going to watch lol)

The scene where Kara is complaining about her feet and Nate runs by saying "it kind of feels good to run" was absolutely perfect.
Glad I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed this moment😂
I was literally just about to say the same thing. Funniest part of the video, hands down! 😂
Her "What?!?!" after he said running felt good had me audibly laughing.

I completely agree. It’s annoying that their isn’t sidewalks or safe areas to walk. Even biking around here is super dangerous
I love it when kara gets so happy her southern accent comes out so adorable
Not quite a cake but a cupcake with a cherry on top - the shout out to Matt's cup of Coffee. Thought it would be a boring walk but the stops, conversations, food and people met made it special in its own way. This maybe a week after your posting date but still good. Love Matt's message - so touching - the cherry on the cupcake !
I am loving your adventures! What I love most is your trots around the world is changing lives of others. This was NOT a boring video, you both have inspired so many people to give to Matthew. You placed a smile on so many faces just giving to him! I love you!!!! Be Blessed!
Kara saying “ooh there’s a kitty!” is 100% me😂😂
Me too!!
"Yeah right . . . " Literally laughed out loud when Kara said that in response to Nate's running.
Omg Kara rapping 😂 every time I’ve done a long distance hike, I hit the “loopy” phase, and I felt like I could feel hers, haha!
Couldn't tell if they were loopy, or ate some edibles to help make the hike more entertaining 🤣
This was an insane plan you guys pulled off but you did it and managed to make it almost in the amount of time Google predicted, I applaud you guys!
Honestly it’s you guys who make the videos, you could be doing anything and we’re still entertained!♥️
So nice the call for support for the biking guy you've made! Talk about community, way to go!
This was one of my fav videos from you guys! I live in Boston and I’ve always been curious about how long it would take to walk RI. I love that you guys bought coffee for biker Matt
OMG, Matt had so many coffees because of you guys!! ❤️
Haha Kara wearing that hat in the dark, limping and holding an entire pizza while eating must be the funniest thing the drivers had seen that day
By far the best youtube travel vloggers on the planet.
You know you're a fan when you like the videos before even watching them, keep it up you two!
I just bought Matt a cup of coffee. I wonder if his supporter messages and coffee buying notifications are blowing up his phone lol. I hope this really makes his day! Kara and Nate, no video you two do is boring, you all make everything seem fun and definitely entertaining.
Read the update on his site...
@@lightdark00 Ha I'm sorry he couldn't get on due to all the traffic, but I love that this communities support was the reason.
He is back on the road again. I just went to his website & check
When they first met.
Nate: “I like long walks…”
Kara: “On the beach?!”
Nate: “Uh…..Yeaaaah…”
Thank you for supporting Matt! That was so awesome! The Nivals were excited to support him as well. Thank you guys again! Your hearts are a blessing!
Them: Should I walk across Rhode Island:
Bing: It depends on what kind of shape you are in, the average hiker would just need 3-5 days to walk across the entire state -
Google: *Do it*
Bing: What? Aren't I supposed to be the more adventurous one?
Google: *Did I stutter?*
XD
I absolutely loved the pizza manifestation I will be doing that next time I'm walking somewhere! Love you guys and I have always wondered if the times were accurate 😂 just love watching you guys no video could be boring with you two! ❤️❤️❤️
Yall should do a section hike of a long distance trail! Backpacking is such a rewarding experience!
I wish they did the AT with Kara being support van again😅
@@noodles.dumplings.kimchi2878 I honestly think something like John Muir trail or the long trail might be more feasible and then they could both do it. No need for a support van, you just carry everything with you
Everything over 20 miles a day is really, really tough on the body! Good work.
Some gorgeous scenery as u walked. Hope the blisters heal. Celebrate u guys because you extend human kindness ❤️🇨🇦
6:57 This was the first Kara and Nate video I ever watched, and it got me hooked, but it ended up being so disconnected in my mind as being one of your videos because I didn't "know" you at the time, so I'm rewatching it with fresh eyes. Love this video! It just feels so cozy. ♥️
Kara and Nate,
Please come back to Utah to make a video. Our state has so much to offer! Love you guys!💕🙏🏼🥺
That was awesome! Great job on your walk! And you guys are so generous to help out that bike rider! Yes, we will help him too!
You might have felt that your walk was boring, but then it was great editing to make it so interesting for your viewers!
Kara, you look so cute in those glasses! 🤩
The distant shot of you two walking as Kara held the pizza box is classic awesome!! Fun!! 🍕🍕
I was definitely interested when I heard walking across RI. Having grown up there, I never knew there was a greenway! Def on the books to try with my family next fall
Such a great video to show what can be accomplished when we push and challenge ourselves. The shout out to Matt was wonderful also. Just shows you that no matter what there are still lots of kind and generous folks in the world.💕
Only Kara and Nate could make a WALKING video not boring the whole time 😂
I honestly love you guys. Keep up the good work and Nate happy you’ve recovered so well!!!
No-one:
Nate: Let's see if google is correct by walking across an entire state.
Kara: Sure let's go along with another crazy plan.
😂😂😂😂
I love the relationship you guys have!
That is so cool you put that link in to have people support him. You two are the best.
I love watching you guys!! You remind me of the relationship I had with my fiancé! He passed away July of 2020, he was born and raised in Rhode Island so watching this video (despite the boringness) I love it!
I am so sorry for your loss.
My favorite way to start my Sunday, curl up with my coffee and watch Kara and Nate. I love your guys unique video ideas and always willing to help someone out, like with the coffees for Matt.
This was one of my favorite videos you have done. Ambitious and original!
Kara, you are such a sweetheart for sharing that guys link. This little bit of kindness makes me glad I'm subscribed to your channel.
I loved this video! Research is research. The pizza sign in the walking trail was perfectly placed but such a let down! I’m glad you were eventually able to get your well deserved ‘za!!!
"Canadians took our pepper spray so..." 😂😂😂
I literally died at that comment. "The Canadians took our pepper spray so..". I laughed so hard. 🤣🤣
Please do buy more. That was pretty scary walking in the dark. Be careful.
Sorry, on behalf of Canada.
I wish you actually got to stop and do more in beautiful Rhody! Please come back and actually enjoy it in the summer!
Agree! They missed all the classic rhody things!
@@HannahStebner and the best kept secret food scene in Providence and on the coast!
What a great idea to support Matt too - he’s gonna be so happy! ☕️☕️☕️
“Give me something to rap about” 😂 Kara you’re the best lol!
Matt currently has almost 900 supporters on his buy me a coffee page! Good job, Kara and Nate, for sending him some love.
I'm coffee number 1788!
That was beautiful!! Living somewhere without seasons, I love all the footage of east coast fall colors :)
I thought obsession had a limit.
But my obsession to watch your videos is just limitless.
I love your videos, you guys!
I love this video so much! I especially loved how you shows how you struggled instead of just the "good" parts. On to the next adventure! (or video that I'm going to watch lol)
Omg when y'all went under that bridge at night and the banging noises it made was so peaceful looking
