That one is packed in there tight. Nice that plywood is accessible with the screws visible. A side gig, that bridge area looks like the spot where you helped that dude on a bicycle a couple years ago. Uh Oh, a two-fer, you just thought you were done. Man, that was a long day. In Oklahoma you'll get ticketed without trailer lights. Nice photos at the end as always. Thanks for the video.
Wow. That snake! Love seeing this video! I'm sitting on the bus to the airport for the Hive Life. Looking forward to meet you there! I'll be so starstruck ☺️
You mentioned a long reach, we have a town in western Queensland Australia called Longreach. There's a museum called the Qantas hall of fame. That's where the airline started.
Did you buy that BMW for Mr. Ed? He'd look good in that!! Always enjoy the videos and the photos you capture along the way. See you soon at Hive Life!!
I admit to not knowing anything about bee keeping and I love watching every one of your videos. However, I also confess that I giggle like a little kid every time you get nailed. Especially when it’s some place like your lip or eye brow. I know you love to add entertainment value to your productions.😁
Nothing like working on something up high and directly over your head, looks like you really got your moneys worth on that lift. BTW, if you haven't checked out the John Stennis Space Center, it is really awesome. May you and yours have a wonderful and prosperous New Year!
I haven't been in the new place but I went in the old facility in the seventies when they would take you into some kind of control room and pass out freeze dried ice cream.
@@628DirtRooster One of the coolest parts is the observation tower they used to view the rocket engines from a safe distance when testing them. There is a set of binoculars hanging down from the ceiling, and on the wall next to them is a picture of Warner Von Braun looking through them during a test, so if you stand and look through them, you are technically standing exactly in the same spot as him. If you aren't into space, or rockets, or science history, it probably doesn't mean much but for a hard boiled nerd like myself, it was pure nerd nirvana.
You and Pete were in rare form on this one. I love the friendly banter you guys have. Interesting architecture in that area. Lots of rugged individualists in that neck of the woods.
Question for your « Hive Life » conférence: You have before you a beautiful hive, lots of bees, beautiful honey comb and a healthy brood from all appearance and your comment « a good looking brood ». Also it does not look like a hive that has been there for more than a season with no treatment. Now please explain why everything changes when you put that colony in a bee box and bring it somewhere under a beekeepers management? Maybe human management is one of the big problem.. just suggesting! Thank you for your video. I learn a lot from those bees removals.
Soooooo envious of you chaps, here in the UK we dont see sunshine like yours till Feb, then we can start our 2023 removals. Great work chaps…. Also this just shows removals do not stop when you leave the customers, much work continues beyond the removal……
You must be Southern UK, even South of the UK (!) It still can be Wintery until late March here in Scotland 🏴 Wish we could do Hogmanay (New Year in Scotland) and go right to April ! Missing the Bee Inspections. However the Girls did a few Minutes of Flight today as 10C (50f) balmy day Temp unlikethat were experienced right just before Christmas when it was -12C (10F) unusually Cold then. Brrr ! 🙄 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 Happy New Year 2023 ! 🥳 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
Mister Durt Ruster not so much a comment but more of a question . Do bee’s have hearing ? Just watch your video with the manlift on a two hive removal . The safety features of a manlift mainly the audio beeping is what sparked my question . If you know , or know where or who can help my thanks . Happy New Year May the 🎉be kind this year !!
I wouldn't be mad if yall sent me all the snakes n lizards ya find on these jobs lol I be super greatful and happy hey u can even send the palmetto bugs n roaches to my tarantulas would love em lol
It doesn’t seem like much Randy but it’s advisable to fasten the chain in back of lift. Very easy to back off when getting busy and not paying close attention.
haha those lifts take a few minutes for me to get used to before I can do anything effective. Tell Pete if he wants to learn, to swing on by and we'll go through an automatic transmission 😀
oh heck even I see that snek ain't much and i live in Alaska, Do love some fresh comb, had an uncle who was a keeper in Colorado years ago, fresh comb honey any day of the week and twice on Sundays 😆
I had come in and saw Mike had posted, so I get a cup of tea. Then I see you're up, another cup of tea. Had to say thanks for posting and have a happy New Year! Brice
Being from WA state, I'm glad you explained why you folks build houses on stilts like that. I figured it was near the ocean but I was gonna look it up. Oh, and I like Pete. He's like a lot of our friends. Very open and expressive.
I would like to try to catch a swarm this spring. I get a lot of action on my crabapple trees when the are blooming. Should I put an old hive between the trees or is there a better place to place to put it? How clean should I get the old hive? We used to burn the insides of the hive with a torch, to kill mites I’m assuming. I had a couple hives for a couple of years back in the 1980s. Beekeeping is way different now 👍🏻
What a video. Majorette Pete doing the twirling hosepipe. The donkey. Two good hives. A few B &W photos and a some cracking music. Top stuff! Although isn't Pearlington out of your area and encroaching on the old Abbee fella's territory?
15 seconds in, and she asked the million dollar question. They'll be back, ma'am. They always come back. It's a good spot. Take it as a compliment and a blessing.

Funny, I remember that episode too. Don't remember the exact words Randy used to describe him but "sketchy" comes to mind.
@@branmcg9844 Yes, the word sketchy may have been said. Poor guy, I think he had a flat tire or something. Randy is a big hearted guy.
Awesome
LOL garter snake almost got ya.
I might have screamed like a little kid.
Pitts are sweet
nice job,big colony, photography is pure americana
WOW
Big job
Happy New Year my friend….
Happy New Year, DirtRooster. All the best for 2023 to you and yours.

You mentioned a long reach, we have a town in western Queensland Australia called Longreach. There's a museum called the Qantas hall of fame. That's where the airline started.
Hardest job is finding the nest.
It was a garder or garter snake. Probably a female as the are larger.
Did you buy that BMW for Mr. Ed? He'd look good in that!! Always enjoy the videos and the photos you capture along the way. See you soon at Hive Life!!
Always a fine video Randy! Happy New Year to all of your down there! -Bob...
Has Pete not switched over to those amazing lightweight Guardian suits?
That's what we call, a garter snake.
I'm not good with snake ID. I think it might have been a brown racer.
💖💖🎶🎶
what type of bee vac are you using ?
Looks like a garter snake.
High hive removal?
Thanks for taking the time to bring us another Dirt Rooster video! Always looking forward to the next one.
Happy New Year Tommy
@@628DirtRooster Same to you, wish I was heading to Tennessee to meet you, maybe sometime in the future at Hive Life or at some other point.
Save your old jeans for smoker, Kurts tip of the day!!
Yes sir. Did that video a few years back. haha

I have to confess I enjoy hearing Pete get stung. He is so funny.
That's kinda like the people who watch auto racing, just to see the crashes, but then it takes all kinds to make the wheel go around.
That's why I have 2 beesuits and 2 extra veils, I can't stand to get stung on the face.
Lol I've been bee keeping for several years now and it never gets old seeing a grown man get stung
Looking good Randy! See y’all at HLC! Take care!

Has anyone ever dabbed honey over a sting to block the pheromone? Just wondered if it worked or would work.
Many times. It may work a little.
At about 24:26 or so you can hear piping. It's really faint but you can hear her in there.
When was this? It's cold now. And you're in summer clothes
March 2021. Says so up top.
Early spring of 2021. We wear summer clothes in winter down here.
Did I hear Mr. Ed in the background lol
Seems that they don't care about all the gaps they leave in construction...good for you though. ;-)
Happy New Year to you and Elizabeth. Let’s hope for a grand 2023!!
That view of that first bundle I literally saw the queen on the right side of the bundle.
By the bolt! It's wings are flashing. You blind dirt 🐔 🤣🤣
Happy New Year Guys 💖🎊🎉🌠.

Maybe you should train some honey buzzards for the problem nests, ha ha. Good Job as always.
Omg... I would have died had this been me grabbing that snake.
Yep... you would have seen my spirit bolt to heaven. Lol

Garden snake
Pete removes hives like I do. 😂. My vac is always clogged and I’m covered in honey too after a removal.
You really immerse yourself in your work.
haha those lifts take a few minutes for me to get used to before I can do anything effective. Tell Pete if he wants to learn, to swing on by and we'll go through an automatic transmission 😀
That first one was a nice size hive, and think that was a ETs house he came back and crash landed there lol
You might try laying two strap Webb's out for traction.
oh heck even I see that snek ain't much and i live in Alaska, Do love some fresh comb, had an uncle who was a keeper in Colorado years ago, fresh comb honey any day of the week and twice on Sundays 😆
Garder snake
Hi there. Did you say You're going to California or you coming through Arizona
Hey its a lowrider flying saucer haha
Rather cute snake, actually. And no "squirrels" around it seems
I had come in and saw Mike had posted, so I get a cup of tea. Then I see you're up, another cup of tea. Had to say thanks for posting and have a happy New Year! Brice
Absolutely hilarious love watching you and Pete do cut outs
Pete said he needs a raise. "UA-cam 🌟 🤩 " lol
Thanks Randy always enjoy your videos. See you at HL
Havent watched your channel in years. Searched your name up and I am so excited to see you still upload!! I got years of content to get at now!
It's so awesome to have you back.
Gardener snake, they are called stilt houses or house on stilts.
Being from WA state, I'm glad you explained why you folks build houses on stilts like that. I figured it was near the ocean but I was gonna look it up.
Oh, and I like Pete. He's like a lot of our friends. Very open and expressive.
Pete went with me on a job this past weekend. He was so funny. Fully suited up and running from the bees.
running these new junkers will mess up the fuel pumps letting it get low
No it's not a racer it's just a harmless garter snake.
Happy New Year 🥳🎉🎊
Same to you!
How did you know I wanted to look off that bridge 🤣🤣
The only time I did any driving down there, I was shocked to see them mowing the trees from below to keep the road cleared.
That looked like one of the famous Futuro Houses.
You guys should invite Mike Rowe.
That poor snake got violated. 😂😂

Don't burn it. Put it in shade somewhere.
How about “Scissor Extraction “?
Should tack up the hanging plastic
@17:31 That's what she said.
HAPPY NEW YEAR RANDY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😀😀
Tony! 😎
That lift was sweating it out!😂😂
Love your videos even the 2nd time I watch them. Thanks.🙂
Thanks for coming back
I guess the clip on the end of the chain didn’t drive you crazy banging on that damn lift
Haha yeah, it was a little annoying.
17:46 Hi Mr. Pete!
WAX ON...WAX OFF.
Tobacco flavored honey?
LOVE the photos, Randy!
There was piping at 24:24 min in.
It's a life pod from an oil rig
Pete seems to be a little slow 😂
Nice ribbon snake
What happened to jp
What a video. Majorette Pete doing the twirling hosepipe. The donkey. Two good hives. A few B &W photos and a some cracking music. Top stuff! Although isn't Pearlington out of your area and encroaching on the old Abbee fella's territory?
Garnersnake
Great video Randy!! Happy new year. See y'all next week!!!

15 seconds in, and she asked the million dollar question.
They'll be back, ma'am. They always come back. It's a good spot. Take it as a compliment and a blessing.
Thank you for another interesting video, have a Happy and prosperous New Year to you, family and friends 🙏💖🎉
Wish I had a couple of those removals, I’d put ‘em to work! See you at hivelife!
We call em garter snakes
It's tough to identify them sometimes even with google images.
Any more videos soon?
About a week
Great work as always. See you in a couple days!
