In fact Dehradun has become the hub for rich people to move as it provides unique blend of nature( mountains, rivers, forests, valley etc) with development. The luxury apartments, high end cars, luxury brands are very common now. And most of the people who have these luxury items are not from our city, they have just moved in. But the native people are also getting richer day by day.

In 2018 my parents bought 300g of gold at approx 27k per 10 gram which costs around 810k at that time...... Now in march 2024 , the gold price is around 64k for 10 grams and the total cost of the gold is around 2 million india rupees.... 😮😮 ...
5:07 What a co-incidence, today I was discussing the same thing with my colleague that if you earn 27k per month, then you are among the top 10% rich people. He then cited our senior officer (a section officer in my office) who earns around 90k/mo yet claims himself a middle class.
There are 4 major classes in India : 1. very poor (50%); 2. poor (20%); 3. middle class (10%); 4. rich (1%). Many people think they are middle class are actually poor. A person with post-tax annual salary of Rs 15 lakh is actually rich.

It's true. We're all wasting money on things we dont need. I love buying Branded shoes and sometimes I feel, had I saved it or bought other cheaper shoes I'd have accumulated alot of money.
My contrary to the above - If money cannot buy happiness - can poverty buy happiness ? It is only the rich who teach the poor these stupid theories that 'money cannot buy happiness' so that the poor do not try to make too much money to give competition to the rich OR the poor may get angry and rise up against the rich. It is only now that the poor are seeing the fallacy of such theories through digital media and youtuber content. The best measure of income inequality is the Gini coefficient. Currently at around 34 for India which puts India in the same category as Sudan and Georgia (country). Edit: I know Georgia is technically not part of Russia. Since the 2008 war, it has been pretty much at the mercy of Russia. 20% of their land is occupied by Russia. Russian businesses dominate Georgia. I just wanted to call it out as being separate from the Georgia in America.
Yet you fail to mention India's fall in gini index since 2019 and also the fact that Myanmar has a lower Gini's index than India while USA has a higher one. Will you move to Myanmar now? This index is as effective as the Big Mac Index.
@@dhananjayrana6222 not really man you cant really look at 1 index alone and tell about a countries financial situation you would have to look at multiple indexex and immediate as well as local phenomenas to get a clearer picture plus USA would be the last country that i would want to go to in near forseable future
The state of politics and people's age old mindset in India tells that it will take decades for India to have as many rich people as developed countries. Edit: Lol as I expected people are taking my comment opposite to what I meant. The top rich people in India are becoming more powerful, they are intervening in everything, for profit posing problem for startups in India who can't compete due to less investment and thus get bought by the powerful ones.Despite being socialist wealth distribution in India is worse.
It depends on what kind of rich, if we get rich together then no one's going to say shit, but if a few get ultra rich then that is a problem. Wealth distribution is very important and it's already a problem in the US. Edit: your previous comment wasn't clear at all and you used US as an example which is the worst example to use. It looks like you're against corny capitalism which is my take as well 👍
Another great video! I really enjoy watching the videos that you make, and I also request that you create a video on the topic of how the younger generation spends their whole day on their phones. For example, a few years ago, when we used to attend weddings, kids used to play, but now when I go to weddings, the kids are just crying (and some are hitting their moms to get phone.) Their mothers easily give them a phone, and they just scroll on it. When the phone is taken back, the kid becomes crazy, starts to cry, hit, and scream. Also, in my neighborhood, I don't see kids playing outdoors; they are just at home all day with their phones (and many parents also don't let them go outside and play I do not know why , but I think that's only in my neighborhood ). Let me not even get started on their attention span. In my opinion, they are becoming very bad at studies; many cannot even read any language besides English, and their math skills are very poor. And communication skill is also worsening .I think this issue must be resolved quickly.
I am from morvi, Currently living in rajkot so I can relate this video.many ultra rich families are living in morbi and rajkot.. also the employment rate is more than 90% in morbi.
You build wealth by extracting surplus value from others. It's so simple. That's why India and for that matter the USA also has very high income inequality.
No, US is nowhere near to the income inequality in India. And Indians are so complacent of not questioning this "crony capitalism" rather support it, but in US people won't tolerate these kind of Corporates splurging their money and showing opulence. They don't like their "filthy rich".
That's called the Zero sum mindset. The world needs new inventions. Invent something great and you'll get your fair share without snatching anything from existing players. If you enter into the same market with same products, then it'll definitely be a race of who wins the zero sum game first.

India's current Gini Coefficient is 0.47 which is among the high inequal nations of world. (The higher the more inequality). This is higher than Monarchial Countries of middle East or UK and just slightly above US. So quite surprising for a democracy. This highlights one failure aspects of democracy that it is/was just used poor eyewashing since independence by the political elites- Gandhian Family of Congress and now the new ones(including regional). This highlights "giften" democracy is inferior to "achieved" democracy like those happened in Europe. And of course the importance of revolutions by the masses, poor & working class led by responsible sensible middle class against aristocracy/elitism that happened in France, Russia, Cuba, China which we sadly missed. It would force the elites to do for India 3 or abolish it entirely.

I don't agree
No, US is nowhere near to the income inequality in India. And Indians are so complacent of not questioning this "crony capitalism" rather support it, but in US people won't tolerate these kind of Corporates splurging their money and showing opulence. They don't like their "filthy rich".
Very stupid statement. You earn salary. A poor fruit vendor earns ₹100 everyday. That maybe also snatching surplus from others?
