    VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
    Hi everybody,
The Modi 3.0 govt has made a bold promise for India and that is a commitment to become the 3rd largest economy in the 3rd term of Narendra Modi!! And while most people are extremely excited about it, there is one big big problem for India!! And because of this problem, inflation in India is increasing, we are being bullied by America and Europe and most importantly, our companies are not able to compete in the global market!! And this problem is the Oil dependency problem!!!
And the most straightforward solution to it is obviously renewable energy, which is why the Modi govt tried several policies to boost the Indian solar industry!!
But you know what?? As much as I would love to believe that India could become a superpower, the bad news is that China is dumping in India!!! And as I have consistently stated, India is dangerously dependent on China for Solar materials!!
You don't believe me if you look at this chart, Solar panel production has 43 stages, Polysilicon, Ingot Wafer, Solar Cells, Solar Modules polysilicon, solar cells and solar modules, and China single handedly has an 80% market share in all stages of solar panel production!!!
And China has done such an incredible job that, In January, a research unit of the European Commission calculated that Chinese companies could make solar panels for 16 to 18.9 cents per watt of generating capacity, whereas European companies cost 24.3 to 30 cents per watt, and U.S. companies about 28 cents!! So a Chinese module is 50% cheaper than Europe and 65% cheaper than US!! This is why not just India but even the US and Europe are dependent on China!!
But you know what guys?? There is one big piece of good news here!!
While going through my research I found that there is one Indian company that is finding ways to break this monopoly of China!! And, soon this company is planning for the biggest IPO in the entire renewable energy industry!! And if successful this company could be our brahmastra to Challenge the Chinese dependency!! Why? Because if you look at this graph, while Adani solar has a capacity of 4GW, Vikram solar stands at 3.5 W whereas this company alone stands at 13.35gw!! So it has 3 times the capacity as that of Adani’s solar!! Similarly, in FY23 while revenue growth of Adani’s Mundra was -12%, Vikram Solar was -7%, Websol energy solutions was -92%, and for Tata power it was -19%, whereas for this company it stood a positive revenue growth of 136%!! And a 538% growth in its net profit
This company is not an Adani or reliance or Tata company but a Unique sounding company called Waaree Energies!!!
    So the question is?
When the entire world is dependent on China, how is this Indian company trying to beat china?
How are they so far far ahead of the Tatas and Adinis of India?
What is their business strategy that makes them India’s brahmastra to the Chinese domination and most importantly, what are the business lessons that we need to learn from the incredible rise of Waaree energies?

While Waaree Energies is making significant strides, 70% of their raw materials still come from China. This dependency puts Waaree at risk if China were to impose export restrictions or price manipulations. The Chinese dominance in polysilicon production (83% globally) remains a major challenge, and building a fully independent Indian supply chain will take significant time and investment.

    • @wiseupwithanubhav
      @wiseupwithanubhav 6 днів тому +7

Hey dushyant! Totally agree with you. One big evidence of this is when Indian govt had to defer the ALMM or the Approved list of Models and Manufacturers - basically a tool to prevent procurement from Chinese suppliers. The indian developers had various complaints - inadequate domestic module manufacturing capacity, lower quality of domestic modules compared to Chinese tier-I manufacturers, and higher prices of domestic modules. Yes, it has been reinstated from April 1,2024 but we need to see how it goes.
But having said that, we do need to take steps to gradually decrease this dependence. Apart from subsidies, one good thing that the Govt is doing is creating a lot of demand. With policy support and demand push, the supply side will definitely catch up.

Well if you look at data, services has historically generated more employment and wealth in India, compared to Manufacturing. Manufacturing typically needs huge capital to establish and may not generate as much employment in return. As examples, we can look at service based companies like Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, Urban Company, OYO and ofcourse whole lot of IT companies.
Secondly, there are many countries which have become huge economies expanding their service sectors - examples include UK, Singapore, Switzerland - and now the Middle east is expanding their service offerings too to diversify.
And so the question - are we buying the Manufacturing story a bit too much? Food for thought.

Whilst countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh (solely for the textile sector), korea etc are catching up - we too should not lag behind - given the opportunity....India was once upon a time - some ki chidiya because of our world trade...

10 years ago Waaree was producing 2 GW solar modules , there were only two players touching 500 MW = 0.5GW.
But the main component - solar cells - they were importing from China like everyone else.
Even though Tata solar was manufacturing solar cells but the capacity was small & they were also importing from China.
Adani has started producing Silicon ingots in 2023 - that is a BIG thing.

Solar cell manufacturing is a high margin business with strong entry barriers. You should watch Sahil Bhadviyas video on Premier Energies IPO for a better perspective.

I believe that India should consider alternative options such as hydroelectric cells, which are 100% eco-friendly and have more power than solar panels.
    Key features of HEC include:
    - Generates electricity with just a few drops of water
    - Completely eco-friendly
    - No external energy or chemicals needed to process
    - A groundbreaking solution for sustainable energy
Hydroelectric cells were invented by Dr. R K Kotnala and Dr. Jyoti Shah. If the government invests in this invention, I believe that India will be able to dominate other countries since it's an invention by Indian scientists and is made in India.

Also India should include in the planning requirements of buildings, requirements to allow addition of rooftop solar cells and also rooftop or ground installed open steel shade roofs incorporating solar panels for roof patios or car parking shade roofs. This needs to be in the building regulations if it is to be adopted.
Another thing that needs to be considered is glass roofs and glass fascades on office windows with peroskite smart controlled glazing which adjusts the solar energy absorbed by the glass so that only the amount of light required for lighting the office is allowed through the glass, and the rest is allowed through - a kind of an auto shade which converts the rest of energy into electricity.

in north indian atleast the majority of indians love modi, but on election day the freeloaders go to voting, while the modi lovers go on holiday. wherras in south even the elites hate modi, and the poor classes is either brainwashed, or votes based on who gives more freebies

I'm not anti India but a pro multi polar world, this obsession with china doesn't help if you keep talking only,
India should be able to curve it's way out in a way to give employment to it's people
If you're just screaming around because you want to outcompete china then i think it might backfire.
Competition is great but you are too jealous to even hurt yourself so that china doesn't benefits, India doesn't believe in win win cooperation when it comes to china

India needs to stop its self-defeating "trade hunger strike" policy against China. Instead, India should cooperate with China to accelerate its transformation into a global manufacturing power, with seamless integration with global supply chain.
It has long been China's stance that "Put the border disputes aside, let us cooperate on everything else. "
An emerging power like India cannot let its development be kidnapped by border disputes.
Look at Japan and S. Korea. These two East Asia neighbors can sit down for negotiations and cooperations, despite of their long time unsolved disputes over the sovereignty of the Liancourt Rocks in the sea between them. That is political wisdom and diplomatic maturity on full display.
Other countries such as China and India can definitely learn from S. Korea and Japan to manage their difference on borders, LAC, or whatever, and develop their relationship for the benefit of their economy and their people.
Never forget the fact that, The US, as an outsider, with its infamous "divide and conquer" tricks, doesn't want to see BRICS countries developing fast together. They'd rather see the two neighboring Asian giants fighting, hurting and weakening each other, to maintain their domination in Indo-Pacific for their own geopolitical interests.
The US will never put India's interest as its promise. On the contrary, Washington can put any Indian entities or individuals on its sanction list for whatever reason they can have, to put pressures on India government, in order to get what the US want.
