You can see Moon enjoys trying to figure it all out. Thousands of ancient dawg generations working with people to bring down big herbivorous animals, encoded into his genetics. He's just wondering when, during the build, he bites an elk on the leg, so Dad can jab a pointy stick into it.
Your nephew doesn’t seem scared to do the work, he obviously has some knowledge of how stuff comes apart, and goes together. Good for him, seems to be hard to find people his age with any mechanical abilities anymore. Man, that’s a nice roadster, but I’m still loving the 3 window 32.
A friend and I did something like this in 1985. Speedway automotive offered a roadster kit so I got it delivered to my house in Kentucky and we took two days to build it. I supplied the engine and trans, a 348 Chevy and powerglide, and tires and a few other things. Morning of the third day were driving it. That weekend we drove to a roadster meet in Knoxville, sold it for a profit and had to ride the Greyhound back to Louisville!! It was great fun. Love your videos, thanks for doing them. Even though I am an old codger, I always manage to learn something new. thanks again.
For me, there's nothing as satisfying as the sound of a ratchet wrench. Thanks for showing the young man the ins and outs of the trade. Nothing as satisfying as working with your hands and making something.
That's a good start for someone who is new to building a old school hot rod. It's right at the point where a person can make it their car. Soon it will be time to make choices, in/out, colors? Interior? and a big choice is what will it be used for? Street/strip, show, daily driver. That looks like it was somebody's dream car, now you have possible for that to happen again!!!
That '32 project might just sell for enough to cover the entire picking trip, yet still remain a bargain for the buyer (who won't need all of Matt's extensive skills to put it together).
Morning Matt & Steve!! Wow, that 32 will make someone a very nice car! The previous owner had some serious coin in that car!! Moons tail never stops! Matt your nephew is getting an experience of a lifetime!! Well when the time comes, you will have to leave the business to someone!! Y'all be safe!! God Bless!!
Pretty cool having your nephew over helping. Get that hot rod bug in him next thing he'll be a shop helper growing up into the business as you guys pass on your knowledge to another generation. That car is gonna be one bad a#@ once its built, painted and on the road. Whoever ends up buying it should consider themselves making the score of their lives from the ITG crew.
Wow! This will be a great project . Just ordering all those new parts will take forever. Man I wish my projects would be this easy. Great to see Evan in the shop again, he looks very capable. It is easy to see he has some good mentors.
To me it sounds like, with that firewall, that if an original part has an identification number, that part and number can be used to register the car with a 1932 date of manufacture.
Evan looks very comfortable and capable with your guidance Matt, he is getting a great introduction to the hot rod and automotive world. The whole team seems to be working well together under the supervision of the calm but ever vigilant Moon.
Clearly the previous owner had good taste, there's a lot of nice and expensive parts here to build this car out into something great. Kinda sad he didn't get to see it finished. It'll be nice once it's done. Also, I wish I had a cool uncle like you growing up. I'd be working in your shop every chance I could get, trying to learn as much as I can along the way. I'm glad your nephew is fascinated and eager to learn the tricks of the trade.
Brookville, a perfect solution to "I can't do that, l can't find that" unfortunately they know how hard it is to find that stuff and what it is worth. This is a testimonial to your methods, I wish I was building a car, needed the parts, and had the money. Thanks
Good morning my friend Matt I have been slacking and I apologize for that due to family medical issues. God bless you and your family and I hope that you have a great morning and a wonderful Sunday! Enjoy your day as I will enjoy your video this morning.
A beautiful "jump start" project . Very nice . Awesome to see the next generation get some hands on experience working on this project , under the guidance of an experienced teacher who knows how it's done correctly . Great post , ITG !
Good to see your nephew lending a hand Matt, hopefully the next generation of Hot Rodders. My Brookville Roadster must have been one of the first, been finished around seven years now and with health issues it looks like my eldest son is going to be inheriting it. Thanks for sharing 👍👍🇬🇧
Its so neat to see younger guys all over the Country building Hot Rods . The Shifters out in California have inspired so many like IronTrap , and I hope the tradition continues for decades to come.
It looked like the top of the cowl was smashed down and spread out on the sides a bit when you were putting the firewall in. I'm sure you will fix that when you beat the cowl back into shape. This must feel pretty weird for you to be working on a rust-free car. Looking sweet! Nice photobomb by Moon at the end of the video!
Time for gathering scraps for a T Speedster?? A great start for your nephew to build his first ride .. my grandfather pulled his old 25 rusted T out of the field when I was 12 and we started... Great memories 🤠👍 Your his teacher good luck 🤠✌️
You guys R Kool love these roadsters.... you should see if half-assed kustoms wants to buy it. He builds some Kool rods too. You Brosnan got talent.... God bless you all.
I'd love to see you point out the differences between the original 32 and the Brookville. I have always heard of them but never heard the differences in them
I would say they are very accurate to the original. That said depending on the level of build being aimed for, it can be very expensive. I have close to 100K invested in mine.
man i look at this thing and it really brings home how out of reach something like this is. biiig bucks. didn't know mickey thompson made pie crust cheaters. hi moon!
that thing is gonna go down the road like a Trans-Am Z/28 w that new 'Vette and Tremec. Begging for a set of American Torq-Thrusts and a couple Woody Woodpecker Mr. Horsepower stickers !
I believe that is your nephew helping assemble the headlights and other stuff. This may need to be his first car. Just an idea...,, you'd sure be his favorite if you did.
I believe original 32 cowls were used for titling/registration purposes on these newer bodies at one time. Basically a loop hole to build a brand new car that is technically a 32.
A company is reproducing the water pump riser speedway handles them bought one for a 30 roadster i built that didnt have a channeled body did not want to run an electric fan worked out great
Is there only one trunk lid holder ? I ask because I haven't seen a 32 Roadster trunk lid open before ! I figured that there would be two to keep the lid from drooping on one side ! When it's open !
A brand new 32 Ford without the mechanical issues 32s had, I like it.Add another 20k for postage and local compliance to your price its out of my financial range pity
I'd like to see a Model A or 32 roadster built like an old British sports car, the body sectioned and channeled will full fenders and Z-cut frame, wire wheels.....Engine?....doesn't matter. hopped up 4 with a 5-speed.
I like to see the pup overseeing the work, priceless that man's best friend will hang out with everyone and supervise! Great day to you three!
You can see Moon enjoys trying to figure it all out. Thousands of ancient dawg generations working with people to bring down big herbivorous animals, encoded into his genetics. He's just wondering when, during the build, he bites an elk on the leg, so Dad can jab a pointy stick into it.
Matt kudos to you for mentoring and training your nephew in the hot rod world and to have a good work ethic. Awesome build too.
Good to see the kid hanging out and helping. You're a great teacher.
Good stuff. It’s great to see a third generation of Murray’s working on mechanical stuff. Good on you guys.😊

The dog wants to know everything about hot rods.
Looks like it’ll be a nice car. It’s cool to see the next generation of hotrod builder working with you and learning.
So great to see young guns in the shop learning and working on projects I have my grand kids involved as much as they can stand hangin with Papa😂

Always encouraging to see the next generation of hotroding. Nice video.

Boy is that kid ever lucky. All I ever got to do at that age was hold the flashlight while my Dad yelled.
Great to see you showing the younger generation how to build these old hotrods , great looking car , yet another great video 👍
So good to see your nephew taking interest. Very cool.
To me it sounds like, with that firewall, that if an original part has an identification number, that part and number can be used to register the car with a 1932 date of manufacture.

Love that car and seeing the youngster helping out
Looks like the original builder did a great job and gave you a great platform.
Great to see the young lad working on the old stuff .
Wow! I just had a quick look at the Brookville catalog, the owner must have spent a fortune on it
Clearly the previous owner had good taste, there's a lot of nice and expensive parts here to build this car out into something great. Kinda sad he didn't get to see it finished. It'll be nice once it's done.

Inspector Moon is on the job
Keep up the great work guys
Rick B
You're a great mentor, Matt! Well done. Best of luck on the sale of the Brookville roadster.
Wow ! That was really quick !
Glad to see your nephew in there getting his hands dirty. Glad Moon was there to be sure everybody was on task
A beautiful "jump start" project . Very nice . Awesome to see the next generation get some hands on experience working on this project , under the guidance of an experienced teacher who knows how it's done correctly . Great post , ITG !
Love seeing young people learning how to wrench. Outstanding!

Thanks for sharing 👍👍🇬🇧
Dang youndler men keep it up i love this. I have been there 55 yrs. ago.
Its so neat to see younger guys all over the Country building Hot Rods . The Shifters out in California have inspired so many like IronTrap , and I hope the tradition continues for decades to come.

Literally "BOMB" HAHAHA Had to look close!
I enjoy hearing the back story on cars like this.
very informative video. Piecing it together for that first look. NICE!
Great pile of parts. Thanks for sharing and keep digging
Time for gathering scraps for a T Speedster??
A great start for your nephew to build his first ride .. my grandfather pulled his old 25 rusted T out of the field when I was 12 and we started... Great memories 🤠👍
Your his teacher good luck 🤠✌️
Great you got the young man helping you I got my son to help me with my 66 charger when he was 8 now he’s 17 and can drive it to his graduation
You guys R Kool love these roadsters.... you should see if half-assed kustoms wants to buy it. He builds some Kool rods too. You Brosnan got talent.... God bless you all.
Man I’d love to have that car. That is one nice car even unfinished
Matt, considering how long the 32 you have been featuring. Slapped this 32 together in a couple days. Thanks, for sharing! ❤️💯
Very Nice project
That’d be an awesome project for someone to finish off.
Pup is like careful with the door! I will watch and see you line it up.
Great car. Looked like fun job setting it together. Your Nephew is good help.
I'd love to see you point out the differences between the original 32 and the Brookville. I have always heard of them but never heard the differences in them

Looks like your nephew is interested in working on the car.
Great looking project cant wait to see it finish. I wish it was power by a flat head ford.
32 highboys are the purest hot rods!
32:02 Moon takes a poop during 32 Roadster cameo shots...priceless
That’s going to be a really nice car, it almost seems like you should finish it to get the most out of it
That's cool would have loved to see you cruising in that great video ty Steve
man i look at this thing and it really brings home how out of reach something like this is. biiig bucks. didn't know mickey thompson made pie crust cheaters.
hi moon!
Interesting pose by Moon in the background of the first still pic of the roadster. 😂. As always great video 👍🏻
that thing is gonna go down the road like a Trans-Am Z/28 w that new 'Vette and Tremec. Begging for a set of American Torq-Thrusts and a couple Woody Woodpecker Mr. Horsepower stickers !
What is Moon doing in the background at 32.00 mins.?. The car looks a brilliant project but a nogo here in France i think.
Great video. Great for someone to have a project that far along. Does anyone else see the face of the Virgin Mary in the door of Mike's cabriolet?
Thanks for another , Brother !!
I can see into the future and I see your Nephew drivin` a deuce to High School that you both built.
Ragtops are the best. Love this car. Is that a mini Moon having a private moment at 31:59? 🤪
Speedway motors sells those water pump risers
How do you title a car like this?
All the good stuff 👍😎
Nice to see you're dog fertilizeing the yard in the web page photo
Seems almost too easy! Lucky nephew to learn from you!
I believe that is your nephew helping assemble the headlights and other stuff. This may need to be his first car. Just an idea...,, you'd sure be his favorite if you did.
Seems like if the chassis was on dollies you could maneuver it easily when putting the body on.
Easier than a IKEA project😁
I believe original 32 cowls were used for titling/registration purposes on these newer bodies at one time. Basically a loop hole to build a brand new car that is technically a 32.
It's gonna be nice daily driver 😎
A company is reproducing the water pump riser speedway handles them bought one for a 30 roadster i built that didnt have a channeled body did not want to run an electric fan worked out great
Moon photo bombing in the background going to the the bathroom of one of the pics😊😅
Is there only one trunk lid holder ? I ask because I haven't seen a 32 Roadster trunk lid open before ! I figured that there would be two to keep the lid from drooping on one side ! When it's open !
The original owner had excellent taste.
Moon looks to be excited about this one, maybe he wants you to keep it?!? 🤔
i don’t know if you noticed Matt, but the first picture you showed it had Moon doing his business. just letting you know.
Curious what it will be up for sale for if it isnt sold yet
Still funny every SBC out there Seems to fall out of a Corvette
I’d like to try looks interesting. Approximate cost?
you make it look easy
Instant thought on the firewall if he got a original firewall with tags for title reasons?
“Some assembly required,” a mainstay for, Irontrap Garage.
speedway motors now suplies that waterpump riser
Very nice looking ride .How much are you going to be asking for it?😊
A brand new 32 Ford without the mechanical issues 32s had, I like it.Add another 20k for postage and local compliance to your price its out of my financial range pity
Will you do a video on the parts you are keeping?
I don't know, but could using an original '32 firewall have allowed the original owner to title it as a '32?
I think you're on to something.
Sounds like the original idea
Plausible deniability that it's a new car.
Have you ever thought about having a hot rod with a rumble seat in the back? I don't ever see them on hot rods, just original restored Model A Fords.
Yeah, but shouldn't you be able to see the door hinges?
Is the Vin on the firewall? My guess for his using a real 32 firewall was for the Vin.
It should be on the driver's side chassis just in front of the firewall.
I would love to have that car
I'd like to see a Model A or 32 roadster built like an old British sports car, the body sectioned and channeled will full fenders and Z-cut frame, wire wheels.....Engine?....doesn't matter. hopped up 4 with a 5-speed.
Looks like green etch primer on the body
Rjays speed shop in adrian Missouri hanging pedal setup if you want to know who made them
No fair. You got to work with one with no rust
Matt is that your son helping you? If so great for you you having him help you.
