    He is a great instructor, she learns quickly. Going to be a nice car. I am building a 32 that belonged to my wifes grandfather. It was sitting on the farm for decades, her dad gave it to me just before we got married last year. This was helpful. Thank you

      So far is correct! we are planning on a few fabricated pieces in the future but for now we are enjoying the simple build! Thanks for the kudos, staying organized is the only option when you only have a 2 car garage :)

    I use 8 to 10 degrees of positive caster. Usually 10. Positive caster promotes straight line stability. The car will self center and go straight.

    • @calirod

      Agreed, my 32 is running 8 degrees and works great

    My channel is basically a father son channel. My girlfriend is involved by helping us find things to do for our videos. She can be seen in some of our videos but she doesn't want to interact with the camera. To the keen eyed viewer it looks like we are ignoring her lol. This is gonna be a great build

    Nice looking project. Throwing extra shock bushings in the trash, no way.

    • @calirod
      @calirod  10 місяців тому +1

      Thanks! I have those sleeves from my 32 build still, so no need to have so many extras in the slight chance I will need them. One of the ways I stay clean and organize is to trash, give or sell the items I am sure I wont use :) if not in 10 years its going to add up to a pile of crap I don't need :)

    Question, is it also a Brookville chassis? and was the chassis ordered this way?

    • @calirod
      @calirod  11 місяців тому +2

      Thanks for the support! This is a old chassis I found /bought. From what I can tell it’s very close to a SoCal frame but do not know for sure. If you need help, feel free to reach out via the CALIROD.com website 👌🏽

    Love this this is so helpful and educational foe me - a rookie looking to start my first build. Can you tell me where you got the chassis?

    • @calirod
      @calirod  6 місяців тому

      Hey Jim, I love these comments, its the core reason for doing these videos and glad they are providing value. The chassis was put together/welded locally using their rails and cross members I sell on my CALIROD.com website.
      Part of the reason you do not see many people advertising full chassis is because there are so many variations that can be used depending on suspension type. So really they are all "made to order" ... if you need help I am available via email or DM on instagram :)

    • @calirod

      negative, it looks that way mainly because the crazy angle but I realized we had the hairpins on upside down do it did not have the appropriate caster. • @calirod

      It’s a SoCal x frame I found, then used the front and rear cross members I sell on CALIROD.com and the frame rails and welding was done locally.
