I just installed this today. Hands down the best sounding catback I've ever heard on a Subaru. But they don't lie, it is very aggressive sounding through the mid-range. But I love that, personally.

7 months in and It's still AWEsome. If I ever replace my exhaust, it will be for a new AWE exhaust.

Have this on my 2019 Sti and I can say it sounds amazing in person, I get nice pops and downshifts as well as upshifts, sounds like a beast. I do wish I would’ve gone with touring tho as I want to get a downpipe in the near future

I guess I’ll be the one to do a proper amateur video of this exhaust on my STi since this is the only video. I’m so tired of the only decent videos for exhaust being done for WRX’s. I’m the only one to make a video for the GrimmSpeed catback, so expect my video in a few weeks. Sorry, but I just thought I’d say. It bugged tf out of me with GrimmSpeed catbacks too😂 At least we have this gem straight from AWE🙏🏻 Thank you for ACTUALLY making an amazing edit of this.
So, I ordered mine on Tuesday night for my 2019 STi Limited. I’m stoked. I currently have a GrimmSpeed unresonated catback so I’m hoping this really makes it sound better. I just got tired of barely being audible. The GrimmSpeed has a nice tone, but it’s just audible. It doesn’t grab your attention.
I have this on my 2019 STi and it’s gotten me compliments. This video doesn’t show the look of the rear very well but without the mufflers underneath it looks mean. Best money I’ve spent on my car.

Ivan L I have one on my 2019 sti. Completely stock besides the catback. There is very very minimal drone.
The in-cabin drone sounds about the same for each exhaust. I figured the touring edition would have less drone due to the mufflers, but it doesn't sound like it. Even this track edition doesn't have much drone.
There is no drone with the Touring Edition, only rumble. When listening to both videos with headphones, you can tell the difference when viewing the in-cabin segments.

Some people say the drone is rarely notice. I just hate the drone on my Tomei since i have a kid.
How does this cat back compare to tomei expreme ti? I’m looking for something deep and loud. I’m leaning towards this due to the quad tips
If you want a deep tone, this is your dose of steel.
@@awetuning This is literally the best sounding exhaust there is. I have this on my 2012 STi Limited. It is brutal, and absolutely amazing. The quad black-diamond tips are super tits.

110% in the cab, but for some reason, tolerable . The BEST part of my day is driving to work. Now, in 25 degree weather, 20psi, and some tasteful mods, this could not sound better. Loud, crisp, clear, and fucking amazing. Buy it, now! This is completely un-sponsored, by the way. I just love this exhaust.

No offense Jacuub, but the tomei is just obnoxious (on any car). Sure, it gets you 'street cred' and show points, but in the end, the sound it produces is not very pleasant.

Yes, the Track Editions are the same. EJ25 vs FA20 do sound very different.

i cant make up my mind. touring or track?. just got my sti, i drove an FRS before and i had invida N1, sounds so good but long drive not so much. please help?
If you are going to change the DP we always recommend Touring. It has our 180 Technology resonators that cancel drone, refine the tone and offers the same performance gains as straight pipes. Track is solid, more aggressive and less expensive, but it doesn’t mitigate the in cabin tones like the Touring. We offer conversion kits so you aren’t locked into one system or the other.

it is in the settings, rev limiter I think is called, you can setup at which rev will beep

Hi. Our exhausts do not interfere with the factory emissions equipment. Cannot comment on your areas requirements for sound, I'm afraid.

Kinda confused...the Track Edition is with Mufflers? I love it. Not the raspy sound. Not sure if they make this for the 2021 STI??
Track edition has no mufflers in the rear. The Touring edition for the STI and EJ25 WRXs also does not have mufflers. It uses our 180 Technology rear resonators.

I have read of at least one person who removed the touring edition from his 2019 STI and it bolted just fine to his 2021 STI. Your website do not show the 2021 year as of yet. Would like to order soon. Thanks!
It should all fit as there were no changes to the 2021 STI in the exhaust system. Our engineering team needs either visual or data driven validation prior to updating the fitment on the site. If you'd like to talk further, DM us through IG @awetuningofficial and maybe we can work together.

Nothing, all stock components leading up to the AWE catback.
@awetuning so if I have a 3 inch downpipe will it bolt on without issues ? Or will it need an 3" to 2.5" adapter with a donut gasket ?

The Touring Edition (this video is of the Track Edition) is a little more mild mannered, but only a bit as the resonators in the rear are a straight-through design with zero packing material -- they're primary job is to kill drone-prone frequencies. With that, it does remove some of the deeper bass-filled frequencies which may translate to a less boomy cold start.

Yes. The STI and WRX Track Edition systems are the same, but the TOURING EDITIONs are different. See www.awesubaru.com.

Modification is not needed. This exhaust fits the 2011-2019 models -- unless you're saying you've modified your bumper, which in such case we cannot guarantee anything as we scan and develop around factory body components.
