Dhaka, a 3rd world city, has better and worse areas. Outside the big cities, the rivers (huge), fresh air, flush green fields...amazing, and almost void of tourists.
Absolutely amazing video. Ben has no fear and it's a delight to watch him interact with locals of all countries. Better than any network or reality garbage on TV.
Don't worry this isn't actually what it's like. He's chosen what to show for entertainment purposes. This is old Dhaka. Most ex pats etc live in the modern city where it's sushi restaurants and Ferraris.
There is a reason why Benjamin releases his first video in ages and has almost half a million views in just 11 hours. Absolutely classic and epic, as always. Thanks, Mr, Bald!
South asian related videos wont have lackings on getting views..india, Bangladesh, pakistan these countries got tons of people and they would rush in when you post something about them or their country.. Common youtube algorithm
As an Indian who lives 20 kilometers away from the Bangladesh border. I experience new places vicariously through Bald's videos. His Russian adventures will always be a UA-cam classic.
I mean yeah you can appreciate but I def think he should have, it wouldn't hurt the video, he could just talk about the ad while filming the city and walking around, I would still watch. This gives him an opportunity to make money, but from what I understand he doesn't need the money, he's ok with what he has, it enough to travel and do the videos like he wants.
The heat is unbearable out there, the fact that ben is able to run around for hours through some of the worst conditions is incredible. All while making an entertaining video. Also seeing the poverty out there is really eye opening, especially seeing it for myself a few months ago in person on a work trip.
They arent poor, nor are they hungry. They have some of the richest culture and cuisine in the world, just because they dont meet modern "western" "standards" that doesnt give you the right to pity them. this was one of the funniest episodes in a while! I liked the two unlikely guides and their humour. You captured the life and the way people live so well. Your openness and friendliness opens people up. Amazing job Ben!
Those two blokes who guided Ben around are two legends, really had a great time together. Bangladeshis seem to be really friendly. What an incredible video, just unbelievable. Thank you Bald!
I went to Bangladesh for three weeks in the late 90s after visiting 44 other countries over more than three years. The people were incredibly friendly, and I think that’s primarily due to virtually no tourists visiting there. Though one visit is enough, it provided a good glimpse into a place that gets very few visitors.
Did you hold your nose throughout the visit, or pinch it ocassionally or was that just before you disembarked from Bangladesh airways where rumour has it you have to sh*t on Bangladesh so they can recycle it to save their economy?
Honestly this is one of the best and rawest footages ever of bangladesh. No other vlogger has done what Ben is doing in travel vlogging. Raw and natural. He shows it the way it is and he blends in with the locals so genuinely and naturally.
I live in Australia and met a bangladeshi guy through work, here on a student visa. He is one of the friendliest, most hospitable, and most generous people i know and i've come to be really good friends with him and love learning about his culture. He had only known me for a couple of weeks and would invite me over to his house. " You are not a guest here brother, make yourself at home". Such a friendly people.
If somebody wants to start travel vlogging this is the required channel at the front of the "research first" syllabus. This was an awesome video Ben. I loved that the pace of editing matched the pace of the experience very well, the banging of the hammers the 'money!' 'money!' shouts, the tactile experience of soaking in sweat touching old double-deckers jumping over puddles. Quite a dance.
This video depicts authenticity and realism as well as hardship of present situations in densely populated city in the world without any modification. Thanks for visiting 🇧🇩.
I wish that Mr Bald will be uploading more frequently. But unfortunately, it's not our choice, he has achieved his dream of travelling the world and have been through it all. He literally inspired me to learn languages and know more about world and how amazing we people are with our diversity, traditions and cultures. This man deserves everything good his way..
The infrequent uploads make it all the more special when he does upload, we’re lucky that Mr Bald is producing the best travel content in the history of UA-cam
Just like you cannot live in an environment like this, us Bangladeshis need some chaos or else we feel like something is missing! So it has both ways haha
As a Bangladeshi living in Ireland, I laughed so hard a few times while watching the video. You're probably been poorer area of Dhaka. Still so happy to see that few lads helped you out. Haha this people are insanely friendly.
Is there a more interesting channel on UA-cam? Seriously, Ben just does things differently. So captivating from beginning to end. And it’s all real life stuff, truly increíble work.
It's crazy how he pulls this off way better than any actual TV show ever could have. I like how he's not even trying to be this big production either. So many UA-camrs try to be this big spectacle but with Bald it's Llike he just picked up a camera one day and decided he was gonna travel and show people for fun. He has no real posting schedule and disappears for months at a time and will probably juat end this channel abruptly someday when he's bored of it and yet he's created one of the best series of videos of all time without even really trying very hard. Such a legend.
I've done my share of traveling, eating in modest eateries, and stayed in modest accommodations. His travels seem completely authentic to the point of hopefully scaring off the non-hackers to the traveling lifestyle.
I laughed so hard when you said to the guy 'you got the eyes of a demon' haha. Also love how you interact with the child beggars. You just pay them ebough attention that it is not rude or arrogant. And in the end you find a way that benefits all when you let them guide you to a barber shop. Your empathy for people of all ages goes a long way.
Those child beggars are honestly annoying, wish their parents would teach them better than that. But the way he deals with them is good, I’m amazed by his patience!!
I get nervous when I have to go to London to catch a train, yet here is Bald in a completely different country, walking around with only his camera, and still being able to understand and communicate with the people there, amazing stuff.
I'm a Bangladeshi. 🇧🇩 Absolutely loved this video. It was amazing that you took risk and trusted two strangers (they were super nice btw)! I wouldn’t do that, even being a Bangladeshi. Lol But this is not the whole picture of Bangladesh but a small part of Dhaka tbh. I'm inviting you to visit Bangladesh again. This time not in Dhaka, may be in a small village outside Dhaka, you'll see how beautiful the country is and the people are. You will be amazed by their hospitality. Thanks
@@leechee5721 Where did you see Hindus?! They are Muslim familys shown in this video, who are living in some shelters. Ben got it wrong when he said some of them are Hindus. In fact you will find thousands of poor Muslims sleeping in the street of Dhaka. You will hardly find any Hindu there.

I went to Bangladesh for three weeks in the late 90s after visiting 44 other countries over more than three years. The people were incredibly friendly, and I think that’s primarily due to virtually no tourists visiting there. Ben my brother you're literally the only UA-camr I never miss even a single video from. You help us see places and meet people we never could and see how they live. Thank you so much for your videos, please keep em coming!❤
same here lol
This guy has the most interesting channel. What a way to live life, traveling the world.
Nice to see you're in Bangladesh and exploring the shipbuilding side, which not many people cover on their trips over there. Hope you visit the tea garden are of Sri Mongol part of Sylhet. The majority of Bangladeshi people in the UK came from the Sylhet region from the late 1950s 60s and formed the 'Indian' restaurant and takeaway business that is still going strong today.
The UK's national dish that voted No1 was Bangladeshi/Indian curries we absolutely love them..
I spent time in Srimongal and Mouvibazar when I was there….. 🇧🇩 is such a mix of things, extreme happiness and tragedy, perseverance and stagnation, all with the backdrop of insane traffic and some of the best food in the entire world…I’ll go back one day.
This explains why the UK is the way it is now. Wow.

@@ORDEROFTHEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR13please don’t say Indian say Bangladeshi. Thanks
Another Great video you made.
I think you should visit one more time in Bangladesh I mean after changed the government. It’s getting better day by day.
Bald is a legendary bloke. He surprises me every single time with how he interacts with the locals. Top lad!
Right 👍
Fantastic to see Ben back again. Straight in at the deep end. What a chaotic and noisy scene. I know he's visited and filmed some other chaotic places, but this tops the chaos league. Much admiration, and hope to see more.
I am a malaysian and once had a bangladeshi lecturer teaching engineering subjects in my university.. literally we couldn't really understand everytime he speaks english.. these two bangladeshi guides i would say really really good as english speakers.. you could easily understand what they are saying..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You too! I'm pretty sure I had him teach me maths. Maybe his brother.
Did you do well after graduation?
i had two indonesian friends. they spoke like characters from cartoon network and very hard hard to understand. Come on buddy you should not underestimate anyone if he cant speak english as his native language is not english
@@mattuck771 i love my bangladeshi lecturer.. he is so talented and so so genius.. infact he'd won a few awards internationally in engineering fields.. he'd helped us alot in our studies.. our full respect goes to him!.. he's a professor now.. i pray for Allah to pay him the best of life for what he'd contributed to us his students and to our university as well.. Allahumma aaamiin..
Love your content man! Totally different than others! Unique ❤️🇧🇩
I loved Bangladesh when I worked there. The best thing for the begging boys is just to buy them a small amount of food. I loved your natural, kind way with people, and your consideration of the poorest.
Just curious what job u worked when you were living in Bangladesh? Some computer stuff? I know my home island of Mauritius has been recruiting french n British to work in computer stuff office jobs idk anything about those jobs i work manual as a cook 😂

There are a lot of engineers in Bangladesh a lot of them also work at Microsoft and many other we are really smart with computers and we are the 2nd at producing garments in Bangladesh. School vacation is really big and instead of trying our traditional food how about going to somewhere fancy like a restaurant like ambrosia, barcode, chomok and many more. We have stores everywhere and our country seems to improve throughout this year. So please no hate. Please come to our country if you can and please visit cox's bazar, rangamati, or syhlet or any resort. I hope you get a great experience.
As a Bangladeshi, I absolutely loved this video. I visited not too long ago and seeing it again makes me miss it! You should definitely do a video in Sylhet where there's many tea gardens
There’s no place like home.❤
I'm curious. What if the government suddenly bans the honking of horns, would you like it?
Also my motherland

Dear Ben, I have been your fan since 2018, most likely when you just started vlogging. I watch videos of many vloggers on UA-cam but I became your fan after seeing your amazing people skills which I have never seen in any other vlogger. I have seen all the videos you have uploaded, among them the India and Russia travel videos are my all time favourites. Today when I saw you came to my country I just couldn't believe myself. 😊 Just as you go to every new country and learn their language and try to communicate with people in the local language, I think learning some basic Bengali will make your entire tour more enjoyable. Happy traveling in Bangladesh.
Same!!!
I have been following him when he had 37,000 followers, now he has millions..😊
You made me a big fan of you. Salute to you. Love you from Bangladesh.🇧🇩
I got a migraine just watching all those people 😂. Benjamin never disappoints with his amazing travel videos.
It looks almost exactly like I expected, just perhaps a little more grimy;
Can just imagine it in 37C humid heat. 😆😂🤣

You should visit more remote areas there and see how hospitable they are, many people have never seen a foreigner.
I remember once I was going to pay on the bus and the driver told me someone else paid for me already, also got invited for dinner on multiple ocasions.
Need to visit Pakistan. I’ve done a bit of travelling and never have I been to a place more hospitable.
A amazing place for the more rural parts is Belize. Silver Creek and the surrounding villages are so happy to see foreigners come and you will eat like a king down their.
