I’m happy it’s been helpful to you!
Just subscribed and hit the bell! Thanks for doing these. I work for the state of Indiana and many employers ask about winning gov and state contracts. Learning with the intent to teach.

Wow, thanks so much!
Do we need a specific naics code to start contracting?
You are like the best👌
Thank you!!
Derek great videos boss! What's your thoughts on CPA's enterting the Govcon space? Any direction?
Is there a company who will monitor and bid Sam’s-website ?
Hello. It's a blessing to find your video with great and detail information. What must i do when the contact tell you to request a roll I'm lost in the sause when it tell me that. Help please lol
What do you do with all the contracts that do not have attachments spelling out the details of their needs/requests?
you can submit questions within a stated timeframe about the contract.
So I understand that a LLC & EUI is needed to began, but I wondering someone in the beauty industry have a chance at making money in this industry.. Because I so want to do this. Please advise
Is it an issue that I do not have any past performance? What would be a good response to a Contracting Officer about this issue or how would it be addressed? Thank you.
I mean does it matter? U have no choice but to bid unless u wanna give up
When going after service type contracts, do you have to set up your business as a service provider and obtain NAICS codes to offer service?
Wondering the same thing because my primary business is dumptrucks.
You have to update your Sam profile for the exact same naics code
So let’s say I wanted to GC a job. What would I need to do that ? Do I need a certain license or just a typical business license ? What licenses do I need to GC and sub it out ?
There are resources like you wouldn’t believe. My advice if you’re truly interested. Begin with something to write note. And start writing down questions you want to know. Then open up your nearest browser and boom, explore!
Best of luck
how do you go about site visits and such with the sub contractor if you are not there?
Great question!
Would the state Small Business Development Center be helpful and how?
If im SDVOSB can i contract the snow job to a small business ? They dont have to be sdvosb right?
does a sub need to be a entity in SAMs? If not, how do you suggest we address "past performance" with the sub? Google reviews or ?
How much?
hi, so do yo'u have to have different llc for the naic code? how do i set up a general llc that can take different contracts,,,for example how do i bid on landscaping jobs and sign language jobs?
whatever state your in just set up a regular llc like you would normally do in your state but just generalized the name ex. ABC LLC, GLOBAL SUPPORT ENTERPRISE, FIRSTHAND CONSULTANTS LLC,
EFG MANAGEMENT LLC, ABC ASSOCIATES etc this way there is no specific product or service you are locked into so you have flexibility…
Thank you for your videos, they are very informative. I have a question on the NAICS Codes.... If I initially only used 1 code for consulting and now I am interested in bidding in other areas, do I have to list the NAICS codes that match the contract NAICS Code?
It’s best to add the naics codes that you are bidding to your profile and take out the ones you don’t use quarterly or so.
@@GovKidMethod Thank you. Stay Blessed.
is there a glossary for these government terms to help better understand
snow: most likely FLAT rate for the year, They get a lot of snow, Price Equals: all plows plus salt/sand, Do a search of amounts of snow days per year, then add more plus salt/sand, send a number in. You will make a lot of money if no snow, or break even. FLAT RATE fo the year. RISK yes, but normal, for areas like Buffalo, Cleveland etc..
The government does not pay for services not rendered. You only get paid if it snows. I won a snowplow contract for Tennessee once. You can guess how much I made off it.
On the Pest control rrp. Do you have to be there for the site visit? Or can I send the sub contractor?
You can have a sub represent your business, just make sure they don't have a CAGE code so that they don't try to cut you out.
GovKidMethod, can you help me? How do I find the suppliers for various NSNs? I can only find distributors and resellers, but nothing gives a list of manufacturers I can request quotes from.
It's tough. I don't focus on products/supplies for this reason. I stick to services.
James Dorey , Great help need more.
I don’t have a TIN. I used my EIN as a TIN when I registered in SAM. Is that the number I use for bids? I’m just getting started. I have my DUNS and CAGE finally. Thanks for the video.
EIN is a form of TIN. CAGE code is the number contracting asks for.
@@GovKidMethod Thank you!
I just saw this on Friday but I do have a LLC. I registered on Sam.gov and I'm awaiting their response.
What do I do next?
I thought you yourself are supposed to perform a certain percentage of the job.
@@GovKidMethod do you offer a service to walk someone through their first contract from start to finish ?
Is the contracting officer the primary contact that’s on the bid?
Typically the primary POC is the contracting specialist and the officer is the secondary POC
Hello, I enjoy your video. Can I ask you a question? If I bid on a contract the calls for you to pay upfront and provide equipment, employees, transport ect. Where can I find funding? Should I get a small business loan? Let me give you an exemple, I notice a lot of food contract for the goverment. Where do I find suppiers for large purchases such as ( tukey bacon) I see that a lot. I assumed at one time to contact large companies for bulk purchases but I never got a call back. Can someone help me?
GovCon factoring companies exist for this. If you do a google search, they will pull up.
is it possible to get government contracts for tenant placement services?
It’s not something to build a business around in the federal space
@@GovKidMethod I have a LLC name house shoppe, do you believe it will create a problem if I want to get a GC to supply detergents/cleaning/toiletries etc
Shipley Capture: POST Award RFP reviews: "White Hat Reviews", Lessons Learned!! WIN or LOOSE- know WHY you are where you are at! in the agencies eyes.. They look at you as a RISK, mitigate that RISK, by building the relationships 1:06.15
Great 🌞 rising Happy Friday thank you 🎉
I’m a small business owner and was wanting to take my business into a different direction.. I would love you r feedback
Hello
A broker contacted me for a contract with US… how do I cut them out?
You can't. Signed deal between the broker and the Gov.
