@@matthewboylan8825 I saw her in London in the 70s with the Hot Band and have listened to her constantly, but I saw her in Brighton in 2014 and her voice had gone. It was very sad.

My old college friend and I were talking about this tonight and we were talking about pure voices: Joan Baez, Julie Felix, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell. I mentioned Linda Ronstadt but her voice was in a different stratosphere. Emmy-Lou, though, her voice is so distinctive and so pure and she could stand there in a frock (sorry, dress) from Dotty P costing £10 and she would have all eyes on her.

She had a voice like an angel. We would sit with the lights down low and listen to this album. When it finished we'd just look at each other. no words need be said. Still affects me the same way today but now I have a video to watch along with it.

My Mom and Dad loved this song. I can remember them playing this all the time when I was young. My dad passed away November 17th and we laid him to rest with my mother. I'm playing this song in memory of them tonight. They had etched in their stone the words, " Together Forever", and I know they are now "Together Again".

I saw her once, and it was out of the cosmos. Somehow I ended up in a seat I didn't pay for, and I was the person in the audiencce that was closest to her. She was about 7 or 8 feet away from me, right on the edge of the stage. She is so beautiful and her voice is that of an angel. I never experienced anything like this in my life.

Saw this same lineup in Memorial Auditorium at Stanford University in 1976. With this particular song, by the late Buck Owens, Emmylou and the Hot Band completely brought the house down. Will remember it forever.
I'm so in awe of her vocie. You got to hit that first note of the song or it's toast. There's no intro or wiggle room to ease into it. And so effortlessly, she nails it. As with her good looks, perfectly. And with a respect to Buck, this is now Emmy Lou's song.
