Hi .. they don’t measure the dimensions but your bag should be a cabin bag only it (yes these days cabin bag dimensions vary but its okay unless its a cabin bag , in-fact one of our cabin bag was also towards the bigger dimensions but the weight was 7kg only ) shouldn’t be a big bag .. and yes they check the weight and more concerned about weight only ..

No you don’t unless you want to go out of airport in that time which i assume you wont as you have your other flight to catch up

agar aap qatar airport k bahar nahi jaa re to within airport layover k liye nahi chahiye hota. if you want to go out airport & explore for a couple days tab apko transit visa chahiye hota he

Hi we can only carry one carry on ? Is it . We are not allowed to carry any personal backpack to carry laptop . ?
Hi .. you can carry your laptop bag but there should not be anything else other than Laptop it should be very light .. qatar allows that.

I think one can carry laptop bag as second carry on.
Carryon bag js must to have documents and money,personal jewellary so there no way one can stop us in case we have laptop.
Nice and informative but u re your luggage collected in jfk when u stated that u will get it directly at your destination how come?
In any international travel, you will have to collect , your baggage at first point in your destination country , pass customs and then again deposit for your final destination point.
Yes, she said, you will get your luggage at your Dest. City, here only you have to clear Customs & deposit back again.

How much layover time needed in Doha for first timer? 2:20 hour is sufficient in Doha?

Hey Im traveling to Dallas and Im having 20hrs layover at Doha airport.. cud u suggest couple pf things i can do to utilise this time ?
Also which check in you used to collect your bags directly at the destination? Was that paid ?
Hey a transit visa and go out of the airport
How long was the layover in doha? I am getting good deals but layover only 1hr 30 mints , its gonna be very tight
our layover was for 2 hours .. if your flight operator is same end to end then 1hr 30 minutes should be sufficient for doha airport ( saying this keeping the flight delays in view .. if operator is same then next flight is usually taken care of by flight operator itself in case of flight delays ) .. but also consider the time gap that comes because of time zone change .. some times that creates confusions ..

I'm traveling as a student through Qatar Airways.
I'm confused about baggage.
2 bags of 23 kg is allowed in checked baggage
And
1 laptop bag 7kg max is allowed in hand baggage.
Is that correct ?
Hi .. best wishes for your travel & studies here in US.. yes thats correct just one cabin bag is allowed that should be max 7kg and 2 checkin bags upto 23 kg it should not be more than that in weight

yes bcz we had less baggage so they offered us to checkin our cabin bag too ..
