I am retired now but as a former CKA (training pilot) for a major airline, a few things stood out in this video. At low altitude, who is guarding the throttles after the Captain takes his hand off at V1? IIRC, the primary reason for the Asiana crash in KSFO was the pilots thought the auto-throttles would always control the airspeed. The problem was, they put the jet in a mode where pitch controlled speed in a descent and the throttles went to idle and stayed there. If somebody's hand was on the throttles along with monitoring their speed, the PF would have realized the A/Ts were not controlling speed. Holding the yoke with two hands is common with novice pilots but it is a bad habit. Pilots flying with two hands also tend to move the yoke more than necessary (over-controlling). At low altitude, one hand should be on the yoke and the other on the throttles. There are times when two hands may be necessary, such as a complete hydraulic failure. The PF never looks outside until near the end of the video. This is also very common with pilots early in their training but it is a very bad habit that needs to be corrected. We all know a flock of geese can bring a jet down so we need to see them early and maneuver to miss them.
All very correct. I always wonder if Sully would have seen those geese if he had been looking. The instrument panel may have been blocking his view. Good comments.

@bja2024 pilots are taught IFR rules in flying commercial aircraft, which is relying on your instrumentation more than just looking out the window. Miután megtudta, hogy magyar vagyok, felajánlotta a pilótafülkében való utazást nekem. Ott ültem középen a kapitány és a másodpilóta között az ajtóban egy lecsapható fapados deszkán. A kapitány ül a bal oldalon, jobbra a másodpilóta. Csak hosszas kérdezősködés után tudtam meg a meghívás okát, amikor végül megszólalt a kapitány magyarul, hogy azért mert "az Árpád Gimnáziumban érettségiztem"! Budapesten született görög pilóta volt, aki a '80-as évek elején "haza vándorolt" Görögországba. Egyébként a Szűcs Judit énekesnő sógora volt. Nagy élmény volt ez nekem, mindez 1991-ben..... Very nice! This was at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP)? The plane was parked across from CNTAR SA TAROM Cargo, and then taxied by the captain past the TAROM mechanics shop, turned right, taxied north to the hold position. Then turned right on runway 08L and then the first officer took off. Which airline was this? My guess: TAROM. The plane must have been there there for maintenance because it did not fly out of the terminal.
This is confusing. I always thought the person in the right hand seat was the co-pilot. The person in the left hand seat (pilot) is the one testing the flight controls and has his hands on the throttles and is doing the takeoff. The co-pilot is just assisting.
Co-pilot did the take off here. The other pilot(captain) is in charge of throttle until V1, therefore holds his hand on throttle in case he decides to reject the take off
What is that mechanical sound one hears? It appears to be in time with a trim wheel of some sort near the first officers left knee. If it is a trim wheel is the pilot the one operating it from his side of the center console? Great video BTW.
How many flight hours does the F.O. have? Is she type rated on other aircraft besides the 737-800? Those taxiways are in rough shape. Is this in Venezuela?
Would have liked it if the commentary between the pilots and the tower could have been heard. Also, would have been nice if there were subtitles explaining what the pilots were doing when they were touching the instruments and switches etc, so we would know what they were doing.
As I commandeered my electric lazy boy chair in full leg extension mode while balancing the dual plastic bag of white corn tortilla chips and throttling my chilled Modelo liquid fuel I felt I played a major role in the successful takeoff procedure my ancestors who experimented with primitive flying machines would be proud of this major accomplishment.
The cabin has at least two pilots. The copilot is not the captain, but yes, they are a pilot. This lady was operating the control during take-off, so she was the pilot flying the aircraft. Get used to it.

Trim wheel. It keeps the aircraft in trim and can be seen moving during all phases of flight. There is one on either side of center.
Amazed? Seriously? She's doing her job, just like any other competent person would.
The pilot from Romania?
Yes
No, Ukraine
@@johanstruwig3815 No, she is Romanian!
min. 11:59 curious: what is that sound coming from a wheel on her left side?
That is the sound of the Trim Wheel spinning.
Look at her eyes, always looking. Experience starts at the beginning. GREAT VIDEO...
She was looking into my eyes many times. We had eye contact. I am experienced. Not a pilot, though.
You should be looking if you have ideas, matey!
THe Co-Pilot didn't check for OUTSIDE AIR TRAFFIC until that last 25 seconds of the video - she was GLUED to the instrument panel. Could be she's gaining experience. There is no way she should be struggling with the YOKE, the airplane's auto-pilot should be keeping the plane steady.
@@cosettepotozniak7987 she was hand flying by the insruments in IFR conditions.
@@mmonroe1025 Most of the take off was VMC
Does the elevator trim really make that much noise? What is that on the co-pilot's iPad at the end of the clip? A view of the wingtip?
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Do you have to apply all the second thrust force at once? It seems like it would be better if it paused a bit and went up to full power. Isn't it a little fast when lifting the nose? I was watching a livestream the other day and the tail almost touched the ground. I jumped up asking what are you doing.
I may have changed my mind about thrust now. It's exciting to glue passanger to the seat.
OMG! A woman! She must be BEAUTIFUL!
What uninhabited island are you stuck on? We will come get you.
@@roberthenry9319 You missed the point. Why is there a need to say that she's beautiful? She's a professional airline pilot doing her job properly. If it was a male pilot, there would be no indication in the title regarding his looks or appearance. This is why we have sexism in society. Titles like these only serve to objectify women.
@@musefan12345 you are exactly right. All of that pandering is very insulting. people just don’t get it.

Glad you are such an aviation enthusiast.
@@roberthenry9319 67 years ago, was may first visit the cabin of an airplane, it was DC-3. And I was so impressed.
What is the device that seems to rotate by itself down at the center between the pilot and co-pilot? As it rotates I see it go from black to white.
It's the wheel trim
beautiful how carefully they look at the instruments
How they keep their cool is beyond me. So much respect! They somehow control their heart rate so as not to lavish in a shower of sweat. I am already on freak mode just watching the cockpit, not even what they are watching.
What's there to sweat over? Pilots don't operate all day every day on adrenaline or exert ourselves physically unless the sh** starts getting real.
When landing what's normal speed 220 or 180? Which planes have more faster take off speeds?
She is constantly looking at the cockpit instruments during and well after the takeoff. Shouldn't she glance out of the front window occasionally, even for a second or two? I'm not a pilot, so just curious. Thanks
You mean to see where she is going?
Right after takeoff the first officer is on instruments flying the a/c. I think this is a training flight. As is usual, right after takeoff, the aircraft is programmed for the autopilot to take over.
So as she was flying it, once, they clear the clouds and are on top, a glance ahead and out the window is normal.
I don't know her name or which company she works for, but I really like her videos, she is a great professional, she does everything with great competence and care, and gives us laymen in aviation peace of mind when driving !!!
Congratulations to this great Air Commander !!!
This appears to be a Tarom Rumanian Airlines 737. They did the push-back from hard stand at the maintenance base at the Tarom hangar. Base is at Bucharest’s Otopeni Int’l Airport. Good job by the first officer. Might be a training flight. ✈️
I actually saw her recently at jfk airport, and almost asked her out, but it was late, she was walking fast , and she just got in and seemed understandably tired. It would have been nice to learn more about her life and career.
This was a great experience. taking off and landing takes a great deal of concentration. Thanks for sharing this, loved every minute of it.
Not really, you move the thrust levers forward, wait till you hear V1 and then gently pull the yoke towards you. Overtaking in a car is more difficult.
What is that thing called that spins around and clicks just to the right of the control throttle? And what is its use?
It's amazing. It's amazing. I wonder how they feel flying over the clouds
WE FEEL IN PARADISE FREEDOM
Super super 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 have a good flight 🙂 Big thumbs up 👍. Have a great day 🙂
Not only are you beautiful...you appear to be a competent and very capable pilot, who keeps a steril cockpit. With utmost professionalism.
Wow so cool to watch. Have a great day.
Never looked out the windshield on takeoff. What if there was something to avoid?
Gyönyörű szép okos nő! Erre felénk nem látni hasonlót sem! Köszi a videót! Jó volt ezt elalvás előtt nézni! Köszi s továbbiak is legyenek! Zoli.
Nocsak!
A kapitány ül a bal oldalon, jobbra a másodpilóta.
Csak hosszas kérdezősködés után tudtam meg a meghívás okát, amikor végül megszólalt a kapitány magyarul, hogy azért mert "az Árpád Gimnáziumban érettségiztem"!
Budapesten született görög pilóta volt, aki a '80-as évek elején "haza vándorolt" Görögországba.
Egyébként a Szűcs Judit énekesnő sógora volt.
Nagy élmény volt ez nekem, mindez 1991-ben.....
Ma már ilyen nem történhetne meg.
Красивый пилот , красивый самолет , красивый полет !❤!
This is confusing. I always thought the person in the right hand seat was the co-pilot. The person in the left hand seat (pilot) is the one testing the flight controls and has his hands on the throttles and is doing the takeoff. The co-pilot is just assisting.
You are correct.
Co-pilot did the take off here. The other pilot(captain) is in charge of throttle until V1, therefore holds his hand on throttle in case he decides to reject the take off
Sunt piloti romani! Avem o scoala de aviatie foarte performanta! BRAVO!
Is this a video of a Tarom Airlines Boeing 737-800 departing from LROP?
Probably not.
Excellent pilot she made that look easy very smooth.😊
What is that mechanical sound one hears? It appears to be in time with a trim wheel of some sort near the first officers left knee. If it is a trim wheel is the pilot the one operating it from his side of the center console? Great video BTW.
Congratulations to her!
Thank you
@@aviationattract4292 You're welcome
she is a co-pilot, its not her 737!
Did something fell off the plane ?? Just asking since its a Boeing ??
Brilliant comment. No one else thought of that. Or, if they did think of it, they thought it was too stupid to post.
Professional in every sense of the world.
what is that thing in the center that keeps rotating
Aileron trim
Best not to know.
I love beautiful girls who fly the friendly skies. I always dreamed of being a pilot. ❤
I dreamed of being a Marine Biologist #seinfeld
How many flight hours does the F.O. have? Is she type rated on other aircraft besides the 737-800? Those taxiways are in rough shape. Is this in Venezuela?

Being a miljonaire, my question: how long will it take to get my pilot's license ASAP?
She is so brave, an example to ladies out there ❤❤❤

Can't wait for part 2 and 3 what will these pilots be doing
Thank you for this great video, nice TO and climb out.. I joined up!
I don't think you really "joined up" for the climb out.
It just shows that being is beautiful is a blessing!
100% professional, great job girl.
Congratulations! I'm proud of you Leroy
Right seat is for the copilot, not the pilot! I checked and the image is not flipped horizontally.
The cabin has at least two pilots. The copilot is not the captain, but yes, they are a pilot. This lady was operating the control during take-off, so she was the pilot flying the aircraft. Get used to it.
Great detective work.
Love the break out into the sun.
Don't we all?
Cool. What's that ratchety spinny thing next to the throttle while she's climbing? :)

I met a female pilot in Key West, Stacey she had just qualified to fly the 767. Darn neat lady. She bought a house there and had it restored.
Sounds like you may be a bit over infatuated with Stacy. Stacy's house must have been a dump to have to restore it already.
What is that .That Keeps Turning around ? Great Vid
Hi. I noticed that. Looked it up and its called a trim stabilizer wheel. Continully adjusts the elevator at the rear of the aircarft.
@@allengrant7201 It's called the trim wheel. It adjust the angle of the stabilizer. (The horizontal surface at the rear of the plane). Moving the yoke forward moves the elevator down. Moving the yoke aft moves the elevator up.
Rotate is at 11:18 she never again looks out of cockpit until finally at 12:43. She would be oblivious to a flock of birds or another aircraft in her climbout path. She definitely needs to work on her situational awareness in the cockpit.
That’s the first thing I noticed too. She’s focused only on her instruments. That’s basic aviating after takeoff to look outside.
@@737pielit I am not a pilot I am a avionics technician and nose to tail retired mechanic. I have cleaned up and repaired enough bird strikes to know she wouldn't see it coming.
You are full of crap. This is not a Cessna 172. In the first place, if you see a bird, you can do nothing about it at 200+ mph. This airplane is flown by the numbers, especially at a major airport like this. You have to follow SIDS EXACTLY, and you can't do that by looking out the window. On takeoff you can see NOTHING over the nose because of the 20+ degrees of pitch. In any case, that is the job of the pilot monitoring. I don't know why people like you open their mouths when they don't know what they are talking about. How do I know - 10,000+ hours in this airplane, and a total of over 24,000 hours and 36 years flying jet transport aircraft.
@@737pielit Sorry, this is not a Cessna 172. This airplane is always flown by the numbers, not by looking outside on takeoff.
