This was a great review! For someone who got into the game with the DLC launch, I still haven't started it, but I'm excited. Thank you for the review amigo :)
Fantastic coverage. I didn't explore E2 until about 6 months ago, although I had pre-ordered before early access began. I wanted to experience it in it's complete form, and I am so glad that I did. This game is an absolute gem. And while online co-op would be nice, having multiple end game activities makes up for it somewhat I think.
be a little while before i can get this dlc but was looking for a spot on review of it. Ty you bring to the point information with out 5000 words ya dont.
Yeah... hello all would be great if you subscribe to my channel and ring the notification bell, now let´s recap the history of space games first starting with the original Elite....I hate when I have to dive through tons of yada yada before people get to the point. Call it German efficiency :-D, thanks for the feedback!
Your videos are refreshing, well-thought-out, and wonderfully informative! Thank you again, Wholesome Gamer! As a subscriber, I look forward to your RockFish interview! =)
I don´t think so, the base game was only barebones in terms of endgame - the story and everything else was 40h of solid fun for a fair price. It´s a small studio, so they have limited resources on what they can do.
How do you feel about making a video guide for each ship class ? I watched all your Everspace 2 videos and other people on YT but still cannot find anything about small ships and only on or two about medium ships.
I originally wanted to do that, but I never warmed up to the smaller ships and the way I played medium and heavy fighters always outperformed them. The overall interest in ES2 content is unfortunately also very low atm - I do plan to return to the game once the next DLC in 2025 is released.
They hinted about a new ship class with the next DLC 2025, which is supposed to be much bigger then this one. No specifics yet - and I wouldn´t expect piloting bigger ships in general, but maybe they change the design direction.
The DLC is really all about more endgame activities (and some new loot), I would recommend finishing the game first and if you still like it/want more, then buy it.
I certainly share your feelings here. Some people pointed out you have to wait a bit until the missiles start with their arc to not lose LoS when you go beneath the dreadnought. And one said you can "throw" the decoy from some distance into the holding device - I haven´t tried it myself though.
At least on PC it runs flawless. Consoles are there own beast I guess, especially with this game ported from PC to Consoles and not the other way round.
No...well attacking yes (in a way), with bombs and exposing weakspots, but the story-line explains why it always jumps away in the end (you trapped it in the current solar system). But it is a mixture of a space battle + tactical elements without destroying the dreadnought.
Thanks for the great video! Much appreciated! :)

Thank you! If you are new to the game you can find some beginners guides on my channel 🙂
@@wholesomegamer coincidentally that's how I discovered your channel :)
Thanks for the review. I love the game and I'm now excited to try the DLC.
If you love the base game, then the DLC should work great for you.

Thank you for the feedback. With the DLC I feel the game is certainly in a much better place with more things to do after you are done with the story.

Well explained thankyou for this will look out for your future vids ❤.
I'm glad you mentioned the barebones nature of the base game. A case of game removed for paid DLC?

Im surprised how they did not add any new ships like Id expect to actually get a new class of titan ships maybe jts just me

Should I buy the DLC if I haven't finished the base game yet ?

@@wholesomegamer Tyvm! Will do that
Do ineed to complete the main story to access the Titan DLC, or can i skip and go strait to Titan?
I don´t know if you can start it anytime, but you do not need to complete the main story to access the new content.
I've tried this missile/decoy mission ten times ... and quit the game. The older I get the lower is my level of acceptable frustration.

RockFish is top-notch!
Definitely a rock--solid developer!
On Xbox I have had the game crash on such a regular basis since the dlc it’s been a slog to even get through not sure if anyone else has run into this

Can a player directly attack and destroy a dreadnought?

@@wholesomegamer It turns out that "dreadnought" plays the role of a background for several mini-games
höre ich da einen deutschen Akzent raus? :D
Der ist schwer zu überhören :-)
