  • Military Pay 2022 | How Much Do You Get Paid by Rank?
    A lot of people who are considering joining the military want to know how much enlisted personnel or military officers get paid. We’re paid based on rank and time in service. You do have the opportunity to receive certain entitlements, such as additional pay each month for food and off-base housing, and you may receive pay bonuses based on your job or career field. In this video, I go over how to calculate your base pay, entitlements, and some of the bonuses that might be available to you. This information applies to every branch of the military.

    USA Army has a hell of Salary budget then ,
    I am a Francophone west African living in France and I can give you an overview of african Military Salaries .
    When an African country is as poor as people think soldiers make 20 times less than in US military
    as they begin with 90 $/Month and the salary evolution (salary growth rate ) is almost the same as in USA .Lets call this category A , those are certainly the lowest military salary in the world.
    Category B correspond to African countries who pay better , in those countries lowers ranks soldiers begin with 200 $/Month , they earn 10 times less than in USA and lot of countries belong to this category B too . This reflect very well military salaries in west Africa .
    BUT in those countries generals earn between 1000$ (in the worst case )to 5000$ as there salaries are disproportionate in comparison to soldiers income and to the population in general , they belong to the "high" class like doctors and lawyers are in USA .
    As I live in France I can say their military Salary is 10-15 % higher than us military salaries when Euro is strong . When € become weak compared to $ Militaries salaries are almost the same in France and in US. But Generally France is a little bit above , this is possible because the army is much smaller .

      No, you can see the pay table for Reserves here: militarypay.defense.gov/Pay/Basic-Pay/Reserve-Drill-Pay/ Reserves are paid per drill. 1 drill = 4 hours of duty. Obviously, though, if they’re activated (such as during a deployment), they’ll receive the same pay as active duty for that time period.

      Hey! Not sure if I understand your question... You don't have to pay anything to be considered for promotion. We each create a package of our performance reports, training records, medals, etc then the packages get submitted to a board for promotion consideration at certain time-in-service-based intervals in our careers. But if you're an E-6, you'd have to promote to E-7 before you could later promote to E-8.

    • @LauraZorza
      @LauraZorza 2 роки тому +4

      @Wxtter_Boii, if you join the Reserves you are obligated to serve your contract the same as Active Duty. Regarding cons, the main con regardless of branch is the lack of benefits compared to Active Duty. Many enlist believing they will receive the same benefits and that is not the case. The biggest disappointment I hear from military Reservist is the small paycheck, but they fail to understand it’s only 2-days of drill per month = 4-days of Active Duty pay.

    I have a question. Imagine I join the army as a specialist and after 2 years I get promoted to Sergeant instead of the normal 2610.60 I would be receiving 2786.10 right? If that´s true why is there a base pay for people with less than 2 years

    • @ashleynoelle
      @ashleynoelle  2 роки тому +2

      If you’ve been in for more than 2 years (but less than 3), as an E-5, per the chart, you’d be receiving $2,786.10/month. If you’re asking why build the chart to include a base pay for an E-5 with less than 2 years, I imagine they build it that way in the event you have folks joining at higher ranks due to outside experience, or maybe just for the purpose of completion. Basically every rank includes pay for all lengths of service. You’d still just apply the chart to your own rank/time in service as it fits. I hope that answered the question.

      For these purposes, the term "dependent" includes only those individuals who are officially recognized as your dependents by the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). So if your mother and siblings are your registered dependents, then you would qualify for dependent rates.
