I particularly enjoyed the part whereby he dialed 9 @ his Mom's to get an outside line 😂. It must've been painfully difficult to walk Away from JOURNEY fame. I think he has earned to have LIFE play out on his terms, not what others want from him...💖

You could really see how UNHAPPY Steve, Jonathan and Neal were in 1991 @ November 3, 1991 ~Bill Graham's memorial. The crowd in San Fran was "dead too" during that somber occasion. Little did anyone know, it would be the last time we saw Steve sing LIVE WITH JOURNEY. If the RRHOF was not big enough for Steve to join his old bandmates, it would be a miracle if it ever happens again....but, you know what they say? DSB!

These people don’t have a clue what a toll it takes on a professional singers vocal chords. Singing in hundreds of live shows per year for 10 years at the level of perfection that Steve demanded from himself. You can hear the vocal exhaustion in his first solo album, with the title song “Oh Sherry.” Actually you can hear the raspiness in his vocal chords in the previous Journey album, “Frontiers.” The man needed to rest his voice, seriously. You can hear the proof in the follow up Journey album, “Trial By Fire.” His vocals are smooth, powerful and on key. No raspiness! Just in case you didn’t know, he’s my favorite male rock singer of all time. Thanks 😊
Right and I beg them to play anything other than DSB or OH Sherrie and they never do. People would faint if they played when you love a woman. We need sweet songs in these horrid times.

I love Steve Perry as a down to earth type person. I was also sad when I learned he was leaving. But now I understand his reason. He needed to step down from the limelight for a spell. He felt the need to be simply "Steve," the ordinary individual away from pressures public performance & fame. He deserves this indeed! We are missing him 😢 indeed!
