No one will ever come close to the great Steve Perry. The Voice that has provided me with immense joy over many decades of my life. May he continue to live a long and healthy life.
Dear Steve, Following you since I was 12 years old ...I’m 53 and still following ..... I never got to see a concert but you voice made it seem Like I did...always strikes a nerve in my Soul. The world is Lucky to have you. Thank You For being so Angelic 🙏🏼
I believe there comes a time in everyone's lives- that no matter how much we love what we do, we go through our own level of "burn out". And Steve's career consumed him 24 hours a day, for years. I'm just so glad he decided to come back and share some more of his life with us.
Steve; you truly brought joy and the soundtrack of our lives. I don’t think you have any idea how deeply you touched our lives. Back then; but now also of our latter years as grandparents looking back on our lives with smiles and a few regrets! Traces is the soundtrack for our last decade or so of our life. Just so happy-- for him, but mostly for all of us. At 64, I would have waited to the end to hear Steve Perry sing again. It really does mean the world to us. October 5!!!

I’m 49 and Journey with Steve Perry has always been in my life and I have been missing his voice for so long! I was so upset he didn’t tour Houston after the release of his album For the love of strange medicine! I loved the cd and even bought a bootleg of a show online. To me the greatest male vocalist of all time! I already purchased the new album,cd and whatever autographed because I love the guy! Sure hope he tours in my area. Would love to see him one more time. 1987 was the last time I saw him live and it was amazing!!!!
When we think of "rock stars," this guy obviously rises to the top. To hear one of these icons talk from his heart and be as humble as he is ... well, I'll be rooting for him and for his new album. Honestly, have never heard an icon as humble as this guy. Wow ... almost restores my hope in humanity ... almost.

For anyone that may not know, or truly understand, maybe a new generation curious about the truly great, authentic talent America produced, just listen 'Someday Soon' off of Departure. That's but one of many songs, including Steve's solo work, where it becomes more than just a stellar voice that goes from soaring to tenderness in a few bars but where you're rocked to the inner core of your being a soul. You'd think Arnel would be worshiped in the Philippines, but the big superstar to them is Manny Pacquiao. I keep telling my wife that he's getting too old, but she doesn't get it.
I met Steve at a karaoke show in Naples Florida while he was visiting the KJ Angelo. What a cool guy beyond his fame and accomplishments with Journey. Steve. So great to see you’re doing well!!! David L.
I not only love to hear him sing I can sit and listen to him talk for hours. I do believe he was once interested in radio . I bet if he hadn't found Journey he could have been an announcer.
Always be my favorite. I was 6 when he joined Journey, he was my first crush still my favorite musician. He is a legend and an incredible person not many are both. I wish my son and I could have seen him together ❤.

Glad you enjoyed your life and healed.. new beginning , much admiration !!!!!!!
Love him, i cant imagine the amount of pressure he might feel from the expectations from fans. He isnt that 20 or 30 something year old we fell in love with and he wont sound exactly the same his voice has aged . But im so happy he's making music again and he is most beloved.
@@OBEONE2424 I'm afraid Mr. Bach would disagree with you. He is a huge Perry fan who learned to sing by singing along to his records and still warms up before a show by singing his songs. This was like taking Pineda from the absolute gutter and turning him into a rich superstar. I have zero against him. He's such a modest, grateful guy who said he'd gladly step aside if Perry wanted to come back. That's integrity.
David L.
I've been waiting .....ROCK & ROLL Steve
glad steve is back.he is the greatest rock n roll singer of all time.
I not only love to hear him sing I can sit and listen to him talk for hours. I do believe he was once interested in radio . I bet if he hadn't found Journey he could have been an announcer.
what an incredibly awesome interview!
Always be my favorite. I was 6 when he joined Journey, he was my first crush still my favorite musician. He is a legend and an incredible person not many are both. I wish my son and I could have seen him together ❤.
this is so good
Love you Steve💕, when I hear the word JOURNEY, I only think of you ! YOU MADE JOURNEY !!! You are on your own and need God , yourself , family only !! You are AMAZING !!! 💕💕The stone might have broke , but you keep traces of all that's happened to you , Good for you !! Keep going forward love !!! Glad you enjoyed your life and healed.. new beginning , much admiration !!!!!!!
Steve Rocks!!! Good for you Man!!!!
We never left you Steve.
Two real pros having a professional yet open and relaxed conversation. Well done, Mssrs. Trunk and Perry.
Love him, i cant imagine the amount of pressure he might feel from the expectations from fans. He isnt that 20 or 30 something year old we fell in love with and he wont sound exactly the same his voice has aged . But im so happy he's making music again and he is most beloved.
about time, welcome back Steve!!!
Simply the Best Rock Voice ever.
Ever? Sebastian Bach and Axl Rose disagree. :)
DeYoung was/is one of my all time favorites as well. As matter of fact Styx is my all time favorite band. With DeYoung of course. Not LG
@@OBEONE2424 I'm afraid Mr. Bach would disagree with you. He is a huge Perry fan who learned to sing by singing along to his records and still warms up before a show by singing his songs. He was hanging out at The House of Blues when the band invited him up to the stage, guess what he wanted to sing first?ua-cam.com/video/phlSNxEzTLk/v-deo.html
