    Mimi, could you make a seperate video about money? You know, your thoughts about the role of money in people`s lives, about your experience with having and not having enough money. Could you live without money and stay happy? Also, it is quite interesting what do you think about money and children - should rich parents let their children make their own way in creating finantual status or should parents help them as much as possible? And thanks for the great video!

      You should definitely look into your diet before anything else, if you don't already (cutting sugar, dairy, red meat etc for example does wonders to boost energy!) Mimi eats healthy, it's probably the main factor for her energy levels! Cheers

    • @evableichenbaum5673
      @evableichenbaum5673 5 років тому +7

      Some people are energetic by nature and Mimi seems to be that kind of person, so I don't think she does anything special to be energetic. What really helps me is getting enough sleep and actually going for a run in the morning. I also like taking walks after lunch, because I know that crash very well 😉 And one very important thing that could help you be more energetic and especially happy, is actually having a life that excites you. That makes you jump out of bed in the morning, because you can't wait for your day start. But obvisouly creating that kind of Life isn't easy...

    Probably my fav video from you Mimi! you answered a lot of potentially controversial questions or topics straight on! I think THIS video was actually your most honest and vulnerable video up to date! In the video you shared with us you were confused as to why people may assume you are never vulnerable. I remember you sharing with us that one video talking about your history with anxiety, and yes you showed tears but the frustration for us as viewers was that you were fully went into detail of exactly what happened so it was hard for me to connect and relate .. and I know you don't OWE US any specific information from your life and the trauma you experienced in your past nobody should force that upon you. Just simply explaining crying in front of the camera doesn't equal vulnerability... sharing a hard story to tell is (eg - Chriselle Lim sharing her miscarriage story, Valeria Lipovetsky taking us through her journey in meeting her biological father I found really vulnerable videos because we got an insight of a detailed story). However, THIS VIDEO was indeed raw and so honest :) I enjoyed every minute of it!

    I haven't worn/bought leather in over 10 years as well. Never had problems with my feet or the shoes I bought. They always last me many, many seasons. Don't let water or cold in. Also, they are much, much cheaper than leather as she mentioned but I never had problems with quality. Also the deisgn of the shoes I chose is very simple, clean and minimalistic (not tacky). And lastly, I don't like shopping and spending too much time shopping and I never spent too much time looking for good non-leather shoes. Despite this I never had the issues mentioned by Mimi. I guess this is one of the stories people tell themselves to do what they wanted to do in the first place.

    • @anla3957

      It also depends upon the size and shape of your feet. For some people, shoes degrade faster especially if they wear it a lot. You cant assume everything is fine for others just because you aren't affected.

    • @evableichenbaum5673
      @evableichenbaum5673 5 років тому +3

      soonsims It's great that vegan shoes work for you, but you have to understand that it might not work for everybody. I would like to stop wearing leather shoes, but it is already hard for me to find comfortable shoes, because I have very sensitive feet. It doesn't matter how expansive the shoes are. There are just a lot that I can't wear and maybe it's the same for Mimi...

    • @eileenthescientist

      It all depends on the person wearing them and the environment their shoes are exposed to. Living in London where the weather is always cold, rainy and the summers get very dry and hot, it’s difficult for non leather shoes to last at all. Also people walk everywhere in London and usually through tubes, buses and crowds, it’ll be a miracle to keep non leather shoes free from wear and tear. I spent 5 years doing lab research and creating alternative materials for leather products and I definitely wouldn’t use them for shoes!

    Hi Mimi, so there is just one thing I am really courius about: Do you ever watch or read the news? I just wonder because I never read or watch them and when something really tragic or important happens it‘s my husband who will tell me. I just think it influences our minds soo much and that‘s why I don‘t do it. So I wonder if I‘m the only one thinking like this

    • @fernandao.5001
      @fernandao.5001 5 років тому +1

      I feel kind of guilty for not doing so, but I never read the news either. It just doesn't really affect the way I would live my day to day, I try to be nice and fair to others and to be mindful of the things I do (being vegetarian, reducing my waste, etc). Sometimes I feel like very ignorant because I don't know the full picture of current events, but it really reduces my level of anxiety and negativity to avoid that.

    • @mariecr.1101
      @mariecr.1101 5 років тому +2

      Fernanda O. Yes same here, it already happend that I said that once to my coworkers who are much older than me & they told me that‘s an ignorant way of living. I didn‘t rly care bc it‘s an other genration. But I stoped reading the news when I got pregnant in 2015 and I didn‘t miss it since. It influences my feelings and my mind so much (&I am very sensitive) so I prefer to live MY live without reading everyday about all the negative things that happens...

    Same with leather Mimi. I was/am passionate about being cruelty free. I purchased so many synthetic material shoes only to have them fail and put in the back burner. I realized what an negative environmental impact this was causing. And as I age my wide flat feet can no longer tolerate a shoe that is not flexible and eventually doesn't contours to my feet. I have purchased only versitile essential leather shoes that will last many many years and will not need replacing. One pair of walking boots, winter boots, dressy shoes, flats, and sandals. By purchasing quality shoes they will hold up for many years and will not need to be replaced. However, you're still using makeup items that aren't cruelty free Mimi! There are soooooo many alternatives so please please give your money to and support the brands that do no testing on animals (if they sell in China then they do test on animals despite what they claim)!

    I wouldn't say you're a like a mean boss or super bossy at all. I would instead say that you're an excellent leader. A boss and a leader are 2 very different things. And you are a leader to me. Although, yes by nature you may seem more of that bossy but I think that's more of how people perceive you. They literally assume that you're bossy, mean, domimant etc. I say all this because I'm an Aries and people think the same about me. And yes I will admit, by nature I'm very bossy, and all these other things but I need to have a balance and it's also things I'm still currently working on :) I love you! Loved your video

    On the topic of leather, for those who are concerned about the impact it has - you could opt for leather that comes from food animals instead of those that are skinned (for lack of a better word) with the intention of making apparel. That way you know it doesn't go to waste - people are eating them anyway. And I agree, it's more sustainable in the long run to wear something of good quality that you can get a lot of wear out of.

    Can you make a video of why you block or delete so many nice people that follow you on instagram that mostly comment nice things about you and support you and if they are honest one time and you don’t like there comment you block them from your account? You did that to me and many other bloggers and girls I know. It seems dishonest and weird like you really get upset at little comments and need to learn to control and be less impulsive and accept good and helpful comments. Good and bad criticism always makes us grow

      Mimi Ikonn strange bc I never did that. I am not a bully I have cancer and I am a mom with two kids fighting this horrific desease.. The list I would do is to bully anyone.the only thing i said but that your coconut oil was too expensive for many people that can not afford it. That is not bullying. I assume you didn’t want other seeing that so sorry I mention that. I am going through a lot so this is the last time I watch any of your videos. No one knows the pain and horror of cancer specially when having little kids so I am not wasting my time in this none sense and will focus on real positive people of love and faith. Wish you good luck. You are still a nice person to many and an amazing mom.
