      Lovely Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Chireetler Muscle Array Rule (do a google search)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for learning how to get massive arms minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my close friend Aubrey after many years got astronomical success with it.

    I posted when I was 73 and now at 76 doing a follow up. I recently started doing creatine and it has been great. Finally added a few pounds of body weight now almost 152 from 147. Feeling stronger and looking more full muscular wise. I am impressed with it.

    Excellent video - I used to rotate "on-off" (about every 4-8 weeks). Did not know one could continue without issue. Real glad to hear positive support concerning the kidneys - Now have some information about elevated creatinine levels. Lastly, I took my creatine with my BCAA's drink during my workout - I'll add it to my whey shake after and see.

    Great info!! I suffered a bad concussion at 43 years old. I am a woman and have had a lot of post-concussions symptoms over three years since. My TBI actually stopped my perfectly regular periods and put me into early menopause. It has been the worst three years ever. Like being trapped in hormone hell, I even developed serious food allergies as a result! I eat well, drink a lot of lettuce shakes (they stop the dizziness and headaches) and Omegas daily to help recover. I look forward to adding creatine and see if it can help restore some of the muscle tone I so rapidly lost after the concussion and menopause happened. Doctors were useless. More research on women and concussions is needed!

    Great video. Competed years ago back when some of these myths were thought to be true, I always felt like I had a constant pump while on it, got extremely stronger too, I did both the recommended loading dose which is expensive due to the amount you have to take, did the “I have to go off of it “ cycle, tried it without the loading dose and got the exact same positive gains. Thanks for the vid, buying some tonight.

    I’ve been taking 5g creatine daily for over a year. I highly recommend it. I was diagnosed with low T.
    I doubled my free testosterone and lost 40lbs. My doctor was impressed and told me to keep it up. No need for injections and a lifetime of dependency.
    Adding Creatine wasn’t my only change but I think it had a positive effect.
    Cutting out gluten and doing 8hour or less feeding window was huge.

      Awesome!!
      Do you go off and on and cycle it?
      Do you feel thirsty and/or how much water do you try and take per day (if you do keep a track)?

    • @taylormills08
      @taylormills08 5 років тому +3

      Current results I’m down 60lbs to 190 now. Set a new strict leg lift pull-up PR the other day at 13 reps.
      I do not cycle creatine necessarily but I do take a break when I go on vacation or a weekend trip. I just carry my vitamins. My blood levels were on the high end of the range so I consider a break every now and then is ok.

    • @taylormills08
      @taylormills08 5 років тому +3

      I drink 60-80oz of water a day. 30oz Green tea in the AM and switch plain water at lunch.
      I highly recommend an RO filter. I got a 7 stage from ispring and love it. Great water. I have well water but you can’t be too safe with your water with all the environmental pollutants mixing with ground water.

    • @taylormills08
      @taylormills08 5 років тому +2

      My Green tea is literally two packs in a 30oz stainless thermos of cold water. I also like the peppermint tea for flavor.
      After 15 minutes you have tea. No need for steeping. I’m all about efficiency

    Obviously energy drinks aren't a great thing to consume regularly but I noticed the ones like Bang that have creatine definitely made me feel more alert & cognitively effective, like I was more creative & forward thinking so I could focus better on my workouts. It's nice to have some real information on what's good & bad, I've almost gave up on energy drinks & gone more naturally thru coffee & protien shakes. I'll be doing more research on creatine & see how I should fit it into my diet 👍

    Great information. I take micronized creatine monohydrate regularly. 5 grams, split up in 4 portions, throughout the day. I'm 57yo, and started practicing BJJ, two tears ago. I notice that after a month or so of taking creatine, my strength really improved.
    The main reason I take it is for brain health. There have been studies that creatine is good for people with a family history of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's. My father and my uncle both had Parkinson's Disease.

    I’m 41, father of three, hard working commuter! I recently started looking into creating and had no idea how it works. This post cover a lot of ground to my questions. The heaviest I’ve been was 165lbs. With just whey protein, nitric oxide, and a fatty diet (I ate what ever i got my hands on). It took a lot of work trying to put on that weight but, after a death in the family, I haven’t trained in over 10 years, and I dropped 12 lbs. now, I’m planning on getting back into training, and I thought I’d give creative a try.

I'd like more information on the affects creatine has on older gym members. I just started working out again after many years. I loved it back in the day, so I"m getting back in after seeing the effects of age and inactivity and what it is doing to my body. I'm 66 and love the lifting because it's better for you. Is there a cut off point in age where any type of supplement really doesn't do any good?

You stated"how do you know" unless you partook in that study you mentioned,you don't know, you've only read. Such as the man on the moon. How do you know for sure,you don't know you only go by what they tell you. So...many how do you knows. Etc. So my conversation is worthwhile to me because I conducted the experiment myself. It is written and documented. But of course comes the question. How do you know

    I started having chest pains at the gym. The cardiologist said I had too much creatine in my blood work. As soon as I stopped the creatine the pains went away. Now, I depend on my protein powder which already has creatine formulated into it, which seems to be enough. I later came to realize I wasn't the only guy in the gym that had creatine chest pains. What gives?

      Hey Steve, thanks for writing in and I'm sorry to hear about the chest pains! But good on you for being willing to visit your doctor in this instance. To speak to your specific situation would be borderline reckless on our part as we cannot medically diagnose and can only provide general health information. It would be more appropriate to consult with your doctor and hopefully it's nothing too serious Steve!

      @@Fitfatherproject I know now not to ingest more than 5mg at a time. I now use it for post workout recovery and no more than 3-4 times a week. My protein has 2mg formulated within. This was a long time ago when the size of my creatine dose was dictated by the GNC salesman. He was a pimple face kid who had limited knowledge. Just so you know, the chest pains were enough to really scare me.

    There are concerns about hair loss you haven't addressed at all. It would be nice if you had discussed them in the potential side effects. Could be a myth or not, it would be nice to know.

      I've been bald as a queball since I was 29. It sacked, my buddy would get jealous when we went out and say a hot little chicken, he liked was interested on me. He would say. HAY, WHY DONT YOU TAKE OFF YOUR HAT. at the time I was balding, but had hair on the sides but not so much on top. I would first get pissed off, but it forced me to deal with my follically challenged head. In the end most times I got the gal. I believe I was one of the first guys to Bic my head. Thank God my head had no large bumps, so it looked better than wearing a hat and being terrified to take it off when around pretty little darlings. Lastly, funny story. I was at the beach with my hat on, at the time I was jacked and looked the best I eve had. I was 5, 10 weighted about 220 and had maybe you 10% fat. This gorgeous girl, totally out of my range, came right up to me as I was walking to get into the water, we were getting along great, laughing, joking around, it looked awesome as far as this gal is into me, my buddies that were looking on were pist off, and jealous. It was ausome. As soon as I took my hat off and went under the water, she was on her way back to he blanket. I was like hay what's up and tried to make conversation, and she wanted no part of the the bald, follically challenged dude. My buddies loved it and 25 years later we all laugh at me getting dusted. I'm still Bicking my Head and I have the girl of my dreams, she beautiful and it's been over 20 years, and I'm still very happy. But now I'm still 5, 10 but I'm 275. I've looked worse but I have been Hitting the gym since November and have noticed Creatine definitely gives me more strength and endurance. I haven't noticed any More balding though. I hope you enjoyed this story. Take care and . Put your faith in Jesus Christ and not in man. GOD BLESS EVERYONE

    Great information. I started taking creatine recently, 5 grams a day, and I am a casual weight lifter. After two weeks I noticed I was able to add 2 reps to most of my sets and if that continues I’ll increase the weights. If you have stomach discomfort taking with food seems to solve that problem.

    I started Creatine this last May and did the loading phase and now do about 5 grams/day. I have slowly seen some strength gains which to me is great but not the most important.For me its about looking good and feeling good first.Which I mostly do. I take Creatine mixed with BCAA's during my workouts when I am at the gym and usually drink it more at the end of my workouts after my muscles have been worked.I am 67 yrs old,5'10" ,162 Lbs. I take NO MEDS....Unvaxed....No health issues.Never got Covid or sick.Today I will be doing a 32 mile bicycle ride and pushups......My question is have you ever done a video on BCAA.s? ???? I find they are mostly a refreshing drink over water when I am at the gym..Any thoughts appreciated...

    Great video but I had a question. If you put the 5 grams of creatine in a 3 litre bottle and sip it through the day does it work the same or would this have a negative effect.

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  5 років тому +66

      Hey DHTV, thanks for writing in and great question. You COULD consume it this way but the two times your body is primed for uptake is after a fast and after a workout. Therefore, if you take it post-workout, your body will have the best ability to absorb the most amount into your body. Since we excrete it daily through urine, ensuring you get the most amount when you do consume it is more ideal.

      It's simple, just drink 5 grams a day, maybe added to a protein shake.

    I was one of the ones that was using creatine as a pre workout supplement. Another point to make about the loading phase (which I would also do) is that it's expensive. You'll use up a good half or more of your container loading, just to find out it's not necessary. Thanks FFP !

    Along time ago in the Marine Corps I took creatine. After a year of using I took 30 days leave and went home and didn't take any supplements nor did I work out the whole 30 days.
    My body went back to the way it was before creatine.
    You must keep taking it.
