I randomly thought the same exact thing... and came straight to youtube lol

@@AD-ec3sm sounds Jamaican lmao
i thought he was nigerian but then i got confused when i got more into the video
I have never heard of deep fried eggs. They look absolutely scrumptious.
Deep dred eggs are very common in asia. Not like this, this is super bland and boring (and did he just put salt and say eat it with a salad?!) Usually it is done with seasoning and other food like aromatic vegetables (spring onions, onions, garlic, chilli paste...), oysters, meat... you can say it's like deep fried omlete. There is also deep fried egg whites, which is then tossed with pine nuts, crab meat, soy ssauce and vinegar and topped with the raw eggyolk lastly. so many possibilities.
@@---iv5gj just shut up, we get it you're a weeb let people cook how they want to cook even if their recipe is flawed
@@mecha1153 look how irrelevant your comment is, how shameless do you have to be?
@@---iv5gj irrelevant? Dumbass are you talking about yourself
@@mecha1153 your response has no logical connection to my comment, while my comment responded to the guy who said he never heard of deep fried eggs, where i mentioned it is actually very common and gave examples. then you have to barge in with your groundless insults, showing how intellectually challenged you are.
I should be sleeping.
Dicovered this on accident a few years ago. Now my all time favorite way to cook eggs. 🤤
Hi. I used grapeseed oil.

I couldn't imagine a more passionate narrative to egg cooking, very intense! Nice job

Hello, welcome to the minnesota state fair.
Found this cuz I was wondering if it’s possible and I’m not disappointed with the results.
Literally cooked it for the 1st time while watching the video for the first time, and all i could say is wow, what a dish, great for asian recipes,
This is healthier than frying an egg, especially with butter. The high smoke point suggests that he is using an heart healthy oil i.e. canola, butter or anything like that would smoke and could actually ignite at that temperature. It also is not very expensive either since you could reuse the oil, it is however slightly more time consuming.
Butter is far healthier than seed oils
@@timthetiny7538Absolutely correct but to be fair, the comment was made 10 years ago when butter was still thought to be detrimental to health.
The oil used here has a very high smoke point and it’s not made clear what oil was used (unless I missed it), nor is it made clear that seed oils may well ignite so it’s a very dangerous video.
Wow! Thanks so much. That's great.
This guys awesome
Hi Chaz. nice to meet again on youtube. I hope you are doing well. Welcome to my channel.
Cheers! No reason to be scare any more. :)
He's the van damme of egg frying
The frying sound...Always awesome
I knew there was such a thing as deep fried eggs, but I really wondered how it worked...and now I know 😊
Hey! Made these over the weekend and I had a real hard time keeping the yolk intact. Any tips?
They are very delicious regardless!
Hi there. For best result make sure the oil is at the right temperature and that you arebusing fresh eggs. As the egg age the white part become thinner and runny not protecting the yolk well enough but with practicing keeping the egg in shape with the 2 wooden spatulas you'll be successful with any eggs. Also if the egg sink and stick to the bottom wait 20 second before trying to release it so it is not to fragile. I hope that will help.
Thank you for watching. 👨🏽🍳
Thank you! I wasn’t using the freshest of eggs. I had a 60/40 ratio of yolks intact to broken. I will keep at it. Thanks again and appreciate the reply! I’m new to cooking in general but I’m loving it.
Is this at a Temperature of 465f?
I'm glad that UA-cam has answers to my random questions

Hi. I am glad you find your answer on my channel. Thank you for watching!!!
Awesome. Just tried it myself in lard and they are delicious
thank you for teaching me how to do that.
Nice one mate, thanks for sharing!.
Thanks for sharing
So I recently came across something on Facebook, that you can freeze raw egg (taking it out of its shell first). I wonder how well this would work of you fried a frozen egg vs liquid egg. Maybe it would keep it more solid instead of floating out, but require lower temp oil so that inside eventually gets cooked. I think I'll try it soon.
if its frozen you're about to cover yourself its 450 degree oil
@@acrustycaballero most stuff that gets thrown in a frier is frozen so idk should be ok
Probably not the best way to go tbh. The oil would just flash cook the egg on the outside and leave it raw inside, even more so than normal. Using a lower temp an letting it sit would just result in a overly greasy oil-poached egg.
If you're trying to cook the egg all the way through, I'd suggest poaching it in water first , bread it and then deep fry it hot and fast to get a good crust.
Nice video
Very cool, this is no joke :P
Omfghellokitty Thank you!
you mean no yolk?

i wondered 'how does one deep fry an egg?' this video explained all my questions....
amazing!! good Video.
that looks so good
wow that looks amazing!
Katy Dubu Thank you!
Very nice!! Gonna try that! Merci!
Looks great but I bet if I tried it it would just be like a fried egg except slightly crunchier
Merci!
Egg gets overcooked on the outside.
I did this for breakfast today and decided to lookup similar ideas.
Tried to scramble it inside the oil of my hamburger so i could have a high calorie breakfast. It absorbed the flavor and alot of oil but the outside has overcooked into a crust
You would have been fine with a little chicken broth, ken.
That looks delicious! :)
Thanks! It is. Thank you for visiting!
A pleasure. Make sure to come back. Cheers!!!

oh you are absolutely welcome!
Thank you for watching and the informative comment.
Happy Cooking!!!
Wow!! That is amazing :)
Could you do this with beaten eggs? Like a deep fried omelette or something .
i can not get over how this is not even somewhat recognized. i would suggest not doing the pushing with the wooden tools. try a flip instead, roll it over. then you will have smooth side, and the other side you will see is beautifully crispy. i also do one at a time because im trying to get it extra crispy. this is not like the "fried" egg you get on a pan, where only the edge is crispy and it feels like you are eating a waffle because of the rigidity. you need to brown the entire surface!
even in this video, everyone is afraid to essentially sear the egg and want to keep it's white appearance. if you fry it this way, brown it all around! you will not get burnt like when you do it in a pan. the deep fry aspect will make it evenly cooked, so don't worry. the high heat aspect will mean the whites expand a bit more, unlike on a flat pan with a thin layer of oil.
Good Luck!
I imagine you can beat the egg a little bit before adding if you prefer not to be runny.
Creepy peeking into the camera was creepy😬. The cooking part was helpful though 😁👍
looks amazing!
I posted your video on spiked nation and it got 200 hits!

Freeze the egg then deep fry it. It will have more flavor and easier to deep fry.

I like to overheat the oil for mine so the eggwhite becomes slightly more brown while the yellow is still runny

Cant be as healthy as a boiled egg but the best things never are
yummy!
Intuition tells me he likely drained the water from the eggs before placing them in the oil. Each egg has a small amount of water that would explode if it wasn't drained.
Hi and thank you for watching. Fyi...What you called water is really called thin albumin. I did not remove it and nothing exploded. Cheers!

😍😍😍😍😍
Works better in a wok and use a metal slotted spoon.
That's what's up
I assume this would work with a different oil that has a lower smoke point?
Hi. Yes it should work with a different oil. Just keep in mind that the oil need to reach 450F. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for this video. Every time I try to do it I fuck it up
I want to try it but I imagine I'll screw it up and the yolk wont be in the middle like yours!
LrtenaL Hi! Trust me they are very easy to make. The most important detail is the oil temp. The rest is very simple. Let me know how they come out if you try. Happy Cooking to you. Cheers!!!
@@RogersPowell Any other way to check to temp is right without a temp meter?
Wow this just the same as frying an egg just more oil

add some salt and black pepper on eggs before eat
what kind of oil?
The best oil to use is sunflower or grapeseed oils since they have a higher smoking point.
Thank you for watching.
Can you deep fly the eggs while they're still in the shell?
Yes, of course you can. Just be careful when eating the shell.

You are not being serious are you, because that was hilarious. :)
