That would actually work! A normal restaurant dishwasher runs at about 170 to 180. It would be kinda like sous vide and as long as you keep it in the shell there should be no health issues.

I live on my sailboat, and I am a truck driver. It was great to see some of these "why would you" methods. And now that he's grown he eats five dozen eggs so he's roughly the size of a baaaaaarge

Carter Corbella I’m fairly sure it’s because he talked through recording everything and just added a more polished voiceover later
Agree.. it's quite annoying, doesn't give anything to the video in the end. Real time talking would have made the video a lot more pleasant to watch honestly.

Boss: "Okay guys, we're running out of ideas..."
Employee: "dishwasher egg!"
That would actually work! A normal restaurant dishwasher runs at about 170 to 180. It would be kinda like sous vide and as long as you keep it in the shell there should be no health issues.
The story countinues!!
Boss:Perfect idea!
Employee:Really!
Boss:No, cooking one on the sidewalk is better.

They might have gotten the idea from Mythbusters. I remember that there was an episode where Alton Brown was on the show and he worked with Adam and Jamie to cook lasagna in a dishwasher.

I live on my sailboat, and I am a truck driver. It was great to see some of these "why would you" methods. When driving across the country 11 hours a day, I often cook my eggs in the microwave, egg cooker, and pressure cooker. I wondered many times if I could put them in a waffle iron or George Forman. Sometimes, it doesn't need to be good. It just needs to be edible in a hurry 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Wait.. how do you live in a sailboat and be a truck driver
@@yojoost3692 Same as when you live in a house and are a truck driver
How’s boat living treating you? I stayed on a houseboat for about a week once and liked it quite a bit. I think there’s something charming about it.
waffle iron omelete is perfection
That sounds like a nice set up honestly. I’m sure you already know, but if you are a ramen or cup a noodle-r, crack a raw egg in at the end and it will cook all the way through and give you a nice little nutritional boost.
Amiel: Microwaved scrambled eggs look gross....
...Chugs raw and under-cooked eggs.
If you microwaved the steamed egg for 5 minutes it would come closer to korean steamed egg (계란찜). The sort of food I would make when starting college. (because its easy to make)
This is how we made scrambled eggs at the chain cafe I worked for, little bit of seasoning maybe some cheese and microwave scrambled eggs aren't that bad!
Its better to do a microwaved fried egg.
The guy seemed to have a grudge against the microwave from the very beginning. He didn't even take a bite of it and automatically said it was gross (I know it's post editing, but still). It looked fine to me.
Microwaved omelettes are good too

You can see his mouth moving at 7:45. I think he was actually speaking, they just dubber over it.
@@ScottKPW It still looks incredibly awkward.
@@AC8X Every time he'd take a bit, the voice actor would go "mmm" and pretend to chew or have something in his mouth for a second. Couldn't not be bothered by it.
@@ScottKPW Amiel is doing his own voice over. Still seems awkward, but that's his voice haha
I find it more amusing that he actually used butter at all in the frying pan.
i think it's funny that his voiceover is added into the video during the editing, so while he's standing there talking (the voiceover), irl he's just standing there waving his arms around in complete silence.
