- Many influential designers come to see Doris Raymond. Most of the time, it’s not just clothes they’re looking for, but inspiration.

I seriously just love Doris! I love that she is so supportive of different artists. It's like she's their fairy godmother working in the background and being so humble about it!
i could listen to Doris s voice all the time. she s so well spoken
christinaivens sameee😣
Man! That green fabric with the waves sewn on it was amazing!! What a beautiful design, elegantly simple, yet still complicated in a way... maybe complicated isn't the right word.
That's what caught my eye, too!
Intricate!
Zimmerman 2015 Spring and Summer collection ! amazing how she transform those vintage print into swimware and ready to wear. Amazing collection!
Thanks for this! I'm going to go have a look! It's so inspiring seeing how other artists work and getting to see where their inspiration comes from! So interesting!
Omg you should check out this year collection too. It is light blue print.
I hav not seen any inspiration of any type in the 2015 that she bought from Doris.......
Omg. Now is 2020, i love zimmerman. I didnt know the designer when i watched it 4 years ago. Now , when i rewatched it again... it's just mind blowing😍😍😍😍
@@arin7981 Some of the swimwear on net a porter. I remember the floral print.
I love this! Just yesterday I managed to score a delicious Zimmermann linen floral gown with fixable damage at the thrift store for $2.50! I often lament that I don't have the budget or lifestyle to justify splurging on the kind of vintage treasures Doris specializes in, but this video is a testament to the fact that so much of what makes these vintage pieces amazing lives on in modern interpretations as well!
OMG you are so lucky 2.50 for a Zimmermann dress is a steal!!!
Wow. This is actually the floral prints they use in their collections
All of those big flower prints made my heart sing! The grey background floral print would be absolutely perfect for my custom wedding dress! Saving this video for later! ♥️
Just watched a series of her spring/summer 2020 collection. Still inspired
Hi, Doris, love your Vlogs. It is such a treat to get to see such beautiful garments and hear their stories as well. What I wanted to suggest to you if you're not familiar with it is a lovely novel I read a long time ago --Mrs. 'Arris Goes to Paris by Paul Gallico. It's about a London char who falls in love with the idea of owning a Dior gown. I think you would enjoy it.
I love Doris. What a talent she is. I could listen to her all day long.
That's really cool. Ty for sharing
I would love to go in there and just organize everything.
Please come to my house. If you’re good I’ll pay you handsomely!
Creativity and organization often do not go together.
2:50 that blue-red structured gown on the hanger
Zimmerman is my favorite design house of all times......I love Doris and her enthusiasm
I love Doris, her clothing, and her knowledge. She also seems like a really nice person.
Wow that's Amazing!
Fantastic
I wish I can go to you magical shop
There should be a tv series called: "Vintage In The City,..!" That s something that every one could wrap their, brains around,..! Or "Vintage History In the City,..!" Something like that,..!
Kind of like "Pawn Stars", only some one the caliber of this woman, going around the country picking out historical collectable pieces, and explaining their history, value etc. Basically, what she is doing now, only in more detail about the history of such clothes, designers, etc,..! I wish, their was so much, this what I am watching now, is so, almost there,..!
Niki better have some good product!
Zimmerman is a great brand 😁😀
Did anyone else pause at 2:45 to see what she paid for her wonderful loot?
😜
300 to 400 dollars is what she said.
ANGELA THOMPSON chump change
@@angelathompson9105 a piece !
I can't see the whole number. All I see is a one. Doris said that the fabric pieces sell for 3 to $400 a piece.
I love Doris, she is really the fashion encyclopedia. OMG i like to meet her.
Anyone knows where to watch full episodes?
How did Doris get all of this amazing knowledge?
Years of research, learning from others, hard work.
Does she receive any compensation when other designers use her stock for their own collections?
Shelly Rae she paid for the fabric she took, so Doris was compensated.
Are you wearing vintage Hanae Mori
I wish you stilled posted? 😔
Zimmerman reminds me so much of Georgina Chapman. She is like what Chapman would have been had she actually been talented, and not as vain and inauthentic.
Great observation they do seem to have that same demeanor.
They do look I like, but the woman on the show's name was not Zimmerman. Zimmerman is the design house that she worked for.
@@cremebrulee4759 Nope, you're wrong. Nicky Zimmerman is both the founder And designer of Zimmerman in Australia.
Doris is a fortune, not in her wealth but her knowledge breadth.
Zimmermann is a big deal 😍
Doris should do asmr videos!
I love Doris, always! But Niki didn't make good impression on me..she seemed very distanced...
what are we looking at
Don't feel the floral print was that great - in my country people get clothes tailormade so it's always playing a designer for yourself - from selecting fabric to the design - but point is have seen tons of print like that.
Sometimes it's about the color combos as well because they are endless.
move this to the TLC channel, doesn't belong on the great Smithsonian.
Acc0rd79 yes! i want this on TLC
Did she ever do anything with it?
omg 300 frickin dollars for piece of fabric? no thanks lol
F this! Let the Life channel do it! Come on Smith.
Just because Americans have no sense of style doesn't mean other people don't enjoy programs like this.

@@thekingofmoney2000 Wow well arent you just a little gem
Half of a yard is $300, these people are insane. Here I am making DIYs from the Dollar Tree, and these people are paying $300 for a piece of material not even finished not even a dress just a piece of material. It's like another world out there. I would like to live a good life, but there is no way I would spend $300 for a piece of cloth. I would rather give the money to a homeless person. If I had it.
It's not just the fabric as you can see some of them have designs on them where they can just mimic instead of creating it from scratch.
In other words recycled ideas nothing new going on
