  • These exercises are really simple, really fun, and take lots of brain.
For individuals recovering from TBI, you will quickly recognize how much effort this can take and how disorienting this can be. If recovering from a TBI, please chat with a doctor first.
For healthier folks, recognize that these exercises improve reaction time and visuospatial awareness. This means better performance on the field and in life (e.g., reacting to opponents or bad drivers).
    How?
    - Decreasing saccadic latency. This means decreasing the time between visual information entering the brainstem, talking to the cortex, and making an accurate motor response. That translates to a quicker ability to react to moving stimuli (e.g. teammates, pucks, balls OR oncoming cars)
    - Increasing visuospatial awareness. This means using that reactive "visual map" to improve your entire "body map." That translates to better performance shooting at the net, knowing where your teammates are, and knowing where the coffee table is (so you don't stub your toe).
    Play is pretty cool, huh?
