Lucky Costa & Tony Angelo were Hot Rod Garage’s tag team comedian mechanics. Both are informative, entertaining and relatable. More Lucky !
More Lucky coming. This our 2nd with him (c10 was first) and soon we’ll be shooting his Chevelle. Legend!
100%. I really miss the magic of he and Tony. It was hilarious.
Something about wagons from this era, I just absolutely love them. It’s like a muscle car with extra utility
funny how long it took us to figure this out. well, maybe not Olds Vista Cruiser wagons and Ford Pinto Cruisers. But they are about the only affordable musclecar bodies left....I had a 1975 Country Squire Pinto wagon, there was enough room for sleeping a relief driver on a 24 hr run down to FL.
but you are correct, BIM, america has seen the station wagon (named after the horse cart that would bring people and their luggage home from the train station) as a tool, replaced in the 1980's by the minivan and later with the SUV.
2 door wagons, absolutely. 4 doors . . meh
@@MrSticks9999 a four door is great for bringing friends and family, and some of the 1950's stuff looks good even if you just lose the rear door handles--or better, it's a hardtop.
@@alertgasper That's why they make menus, because to me, a 4 door isn't great at all, no way.
@@MrSticks9999 true, and that's the secret sauce of a good cruise night...variety.
Saying Lucky isnt a "fit and finish" guy is missing the mark. Anything that looks rough on his cars is fifty yr old factory problems. All the parts he fits are extremely well done. Anybody thats seen the underside of the shop truck or chevhell will know.
He’s all about business
Lucky is always a hoot. His builds aren't flashy, but they are always fun. I need a car like that.
Lucky is one of my favorites on your channel. He builds cars that anyone can build. And you having him I’m sure inspires today’s car loving kids. They don’t see an unobtainable $250k build. They see a car they can work and build in a summer with summer job money and they see that car people, even big UA-cam people like you Shawn love it.
Side note, imagine the normal people around seeing him do his shenanigans thinking “stupid kid” just to realize it’s an old man 😂😂
lol! That guy is just pure fun all the time. Lucky is one of a kind
Second Childhood from HELL... 🤣🤣🤣
Lucky is the man! Love his sense of humour!
He’s non stop funny
Nice seeing Coyote swaps sometimes opposed to the LS swaps🤟
“Look how quickly we all turn into a bunch of 16 year old kids, man!” Only “car” guys and gals get that. Love it!
The comedic remarks back and forth between you two were great. Perfect build for effing around in. Could definitely tell you guys had a lot of fun with this one. Keep up the great work!
Non stop fun with Lucky. Love getting to hang and shoot with him
Banter between friends.
"...And that's when I'll take the time to put really, really good zip ties on that radiator..." I spat out my coffee.
The "I'm going home" comment after noticing the drum brakes was fantastic!!! Lucky is the best.
Love that guy! Non stop fun with him
Cool ride Shawn , but the banter dialogue between you two is absolutely priceless !!
He’s so much fun to be around. With or without cameras going he never stops
Revisit this one when he's finished it. As a surfer I'd love a hotrod like this. Love it. 😊
Lucky is such a legend. He’s like DOC from back to the future
Perfect comparison!
LOVE THE WAGONS. This one is super cool. Looks old school with the new drivetrain that just runs. Be safe and stay well.
I love lucky’s work. Been watching him for a long time.
Lucky reminds me of nearly every person that raised me. Love and miss y'all.
Riding with Lucky is always a good time. Love his projects he’s just such a cool dude.
Lucky has way too much fun. 😂😂 Love that car.
Got to spend a few hours shooting the shit with Lucky at this shop back in 2019 during my visit from Australia. He is such a cool guy and had us in stitches the whole time. Still rock the Mobiletech Lucky Hoodie I got that day as well.
He’s the best and is non stop funny! Love getting to hang with him
Beautiful wagon. I love the patina.
My boy and I met Lucky in Davenport on power tour in 2016. He’s an awesome guy. Took the time to talk to us as long as we wanted to talk. My boy was 6 at the time and lucky treated him like he was his own kid. GreAt guy, extremely talented builder
GREAT BUILD LUCKY!!!! THE PERFECT DAILY DRIVER AND FAMILY HAULER!!!
Lucky is a gifted builder and a n amazing entertainer.
He’s the best!
Oh dude! You are hanging with Lucky?!!!! I just started this video, and I am already excited! He has such an awesome sense of humor! I can't wait to get through this lol.
He’s the best! This is our 2nd video with him and sometime soon we’ll be shooting his Chevelle
I’m honestly impressed with the coyote motor. I’ve a gen 1 in my pickup but I boost it running E-85.
Love it ' be more than pleased to own this ' no shame but famously proud that everything works to road legal compliance ... Top build 💯
Definitely a fan of this type of build. A reliable driving car that looks its age is definitely dope to me. Dents and all.
It’s the wicked bad ass “let’s take everyone along” Ride … amazing episode once again Shawn and crew !!!
Thank you! We had so much fun with Lucky
Got the chance to meet the crew at fuel fest in LA this weekend and I have to say what a group of super down to earth guys. Did not disappoint. Made the whole trip worth it.
Lucky always builds the BEST wagons! First the Fury wagon with a 512 stroker and now a Coyote powered Ford wagon! Fuck'n A!!!!👍
Badass!
Lucky Costa showing once again you don't have to remortgage the house to have a killer ride!
Lucky’s style is so rad. I love the patina and look. Wagons are a tough find these days too. Love it.
Lucky Costa, what a legend!
Everything about the wagon is awesome…
Lucky strikes again with this beauty. Nice of him to install decent drum brakes for you. 😂 I really dig the patina on this and hope he leaves it that way, just sprucing up the interior a bit. Great episode.
He’s hilarious! Non stop fun with Lucky
Definitely a lot cooler than any of that high-end garbage normally shown
The high dollar bills on this channel are cool and everything but this I can appreciate more
Lucky is a trip. Love his work.
Shawn, this was a great video. That wagon is sweet! It will be much nicer once he upgrades the brakes!
Love the fact that we are seeing 5.0 swaps more than l.S. lately
I like the idea of lowering it enough so it can’t be moved. Secret Anti Theft feature ha ha
Great concept and funny
Hell yeah brother,,,two gear-heads busting each other ball's,,god bless America !
So much fun spending time with Lucky
my favorite car guy in the TV media space
Shaun's smile says it all. What a fun ride. ❤
Pure fun. I love hanging with Lucky
I love how cover a whole range of builds from what I may be able to afford and up.
What a great thing to see you both on screen! This car is perfect.
Thanks. It’s our 2nd one with him and next up is his Chevelle!
Like Lucky's personality 😁 👏
Low blow with the brake issue comment 😂😂
lol! He never stops messing around
You re not old when you re having that much fun!
I’m gonna steal that line for next shoot with Lucky
@@AutotopiaLA It's an honor sir, love your show and dedication!
Maybe I ll get to be on the show one day with one of my concepts
My Dad had the same car when I was a kid. Then we had a 67 marlin. I really remember the seat fabric was black and had this beautiful kind of Fleur de lis pattern. Funny what you remember.
And riding in the very back with the windows down 😊
THANK YOU RIDE TECH.
That's the meanest wagon I've seen in a long time. Bitchin!
Another great video Shaun I grew up in the 60s so Fords were my thing the fiesta flash
Lucky seems like such a cool dude!!!! And I may be in the minority here but I like Him and Alex together!
If I was on the left coast Lucky would touch both of my hotrods. Awesome episode 👏
He’s so cool and a master builder
ask him about tire sizes and he says, " their round and about this wide" LMAO I laughed all the way thru that video !
That was the best! He never stops
Favorite moment was at 16:15 with behind you Lucky walking out of the donut shop sticking a donut into his pie hole. That was 100% Lucky!
Love it, every bit of it!
Verry nice video format, and that car is awesome
First time seeing this video, personally did not know how much time and preparation it takes to make a cover, I will always like your videos and shorts, much respect, MTC🤘🏻
Badd azz build man thanks Shaun 😊
Quality build good to see an old wagon .
4:12
I love really good zip ties👍👍
They are really good 😩
lol! Love his response to tire sizes…they’re round
Lucky Costa!! havnt seen him in years! Good to see ur good and healthy.
Wow👏 great video!!!
This guy's a favorite...
Yep. Nothing like hanging and riding with Lucky
Shaun, this is just my favorite car channel. Seriously. You always have something interesting. Way to go!
That was a blast watching you and lucky. Drum brakes...yep.
Yep, Fred Flintstone it only once because after that it's nothing but brake fade. Good luck man. !!
Soooo freaking cool!!
What a hoot (and a really cool build) .
Friggin love this car!!
Lucky you got one Badd Azz sleeper wagon rite there brother , i love it 💯
Love the ol' Fords, & that Coyote sounds sweet!! We have a fair few of our own classic Fords here in Australia, The Falcon XY GTHO phase 3 is pretty much the holy grail 🇭🇲
Always love the Lucky.
Fun video
Always fun with that guy! Non stop laughing
Very cool just watched Dalton from pole barn garage cobble one together with a 460 smogger recently I believe his is a 61 and for what it is it's in pretty awesome shape he's selling it after his road trip to the beach in Texas with his family because he doesn't trust the over 60 yr old stock front steering and suspension to make it back home
Awesome Wagon.💪
Thank you for another cool ass video. Your subscriber from Los Angeles but watching from Hawaii. I saw this car in the driver a couple of weeks ago when I was in town in the city of Gardena. I’m not sure this is it, but I recognize this station wagon and last guys got me busting up laughing when he matches the pedal he has you busting at how much power this car has. Well thank you for this video. Can’t wait for the next one.🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Autolopia...man... this...wagon..
Wwooooowwww...
I lost my air....
Beautiful...
One day... . . . .
Im just 4 minutes in & I'm liking this guy already! Dude is a legend.
Legend is the truth. Nothing like Lucky!
Always a thumbs up!
Another great one
Lucky is a super loved and respected OG in the car game. Great eposide!!!
🤟😎👍❤💯
Hi, greetings to you both 😉..... thank you for this video.... it was so funny to see what power the old station wagon has.... in Germany you get stopped immediately by the police 😔.... if this car is seen and you are stopped, that's so sick here in Germany, they don't take it lightly..... in Germany everything is forbidden 😞..... but with you almost everything is allowed 😉.... the police turn a blind eye..... my name is Uwe and unfortunately I live in Germany.... I have been subscribed to you for a long time 😉
Thanks for being a subscriber my friend! We’re doing a trip to Germany in June then Poland for Ultrace…can’t wait!!
LUV that long roof!!!! 🙂
Putting Lucky in front of a camera usually triggers some sort of memorable "hold my beer/coffee/donut and watch this" incident. The sticker on the right side of the bumper says slow af, you can put one on the left side that says cool af and nobody would argue.
Hell yeah my brother 🔥 🙌 💪
GREAT VIDEO SHAWN!!!! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SHARE YOUR TRUTH. I NEED TO BUY SOME MERCHNADISE TO SUPPORT YOUR CAUSE.
I dig Lucky's style. He reminds me of me, minus the air conditioning!
lol!
Lucky is a legend!,,,,,,,,,,, Nuff said 😀
Sick content. Keep up the great work.
Thank you
100% perfect✌
Love it!
Love Lucky, but I frigging love this Country Sedan...
Way Kool !!
That’s a bad a55 build, love the patina and the single reservoir master cylinder. Wow dude!
Beyond cool
Love all wagons
Great video guys 👍👍
Thank you
