If you wanna travel abroad, don't just go to any country and be trapped!!.
    The rule:
    1. Don't travel to a non-English zone
    2. Do not travel to a non-Christian country
    3. Get a genuine Visa
    Traveling still pays

If only Nigerians realized the power that they possess, they might even change the whole of Africa. You are a proud people but I wish you were as proud about your home as well. You have so many intellectual people and it's heartbreaking to see all of that brilliance being used to better other countries except yours. People leave in hopes of returning when things are better but what I can tell you is that no one is going to make it better except you. Go study abroad, become that doctor but come back home so that you can be an example to the next generation, so that you can help your own people. Hell, I bet if all the people could come together, they can create a movement that will change Nigeria for the better, hold government accountable and let it serve its people but, all of that change starts with the people loving their country and wanting to see it prosper.

Well said. No one respects the Nigerian people and their contributions. I see the Nigerian people here in the US and I just see them prospering for themselves and posting on social media like they forgot their own country. That's crazy and why most people won't respect their selfish ways. I don't see any ever go back home to help their country and sending money back home will never equate to changing the future of a nation.

I know it's not easy for you as you want to fully play your role of being the head provider for your family. You're a humble man and you've made it this far with a resilient and positive mindset that stood up to the temptation of not yielding to the evil scamming that could have land you in jail or cost you your life. Kudos to you and continue to love your and appreciate your wife as you have made it clear that she has really been that pillar of support for you. Bless up brother. Try your hands on being self employed setting up a small business in America, where you can have the chance of getting more money in your pocket to be hit with a brick wall and tough regulations designed to keep you off. The white people comes through the door the next day and got out with everything they needed and their business is set up and running tomorrow 🙃

Sad experience, indeed. But people should travel with detailed knowledge of where they are going to. Dubai-(UAE) is not the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, Sweden, New Zealand, France, Germany, and many western EU nations.
The Middle East is not your kind of countries to do well professionally if you're not in Engineering or Medicine or some tech field.
Going to Dubai to push your Nigerian music rhythm was a poor decision. Dubai is an infant when it comes to media when compared to heavy weights like L.A.- (the world media capital), or even N.Y., London, or Paris.
.....Dubai is mostly a tourist city. Many Africans must understand that.
This guy only spent six months in Dubai and expected to make serious success. Heck NO, you must try to get used to your new environment for a few years and also get some vocational training education or some locally needed handy or technical skills.
Even those people that travelled to western countries that I mentioned above, still have to spend some good amount of years to get to know their new country before expecting any gain.
He also did not also have serious education completed in Nigeria before travelling abroad.
He did not even try to learn the local language to get better handle of the system there.
He seemed more to me that making quick money abroad was his main driving force. ....A BIG MISTAKE!
Six months in Dubai was really nothing to get you set up.
So, my opinion is that you didn't stay long enough to give a respectable opinion of that city to anyone.

Don’t travel abroad if you don’t have specific education, skills and experience needed in that country that will enable you land a good job. I am a Nigerian teacher working in Far East Asia, and I must say that two months salary of a foreign teacher in Far East Asia is more than the annual salary of a professor in any Nigerian university. So sorry for your bad experience on travelling to UAE. I've never been to Dubai but I have few tips for young people going to a new country they have never been to before.
1, Go to a country that you know someone before.
2, Pls ask important questions like availability of job, type and payment rate.
3, Try securing a job locally through someone there.
4, pls research through more than one person and even hit the internet if you need to.
5, Also don't forget to research about the weather.
6, Pray that God will direct your journey.
I'm saying this because I have a nephew in Dubai and he is doing very well. And the best thing that happened to my life is travelling to UK.

And by the way, that rap was/is terrible! Those lyrics don't help children, who will be fully focused on ''get money', which took you to UAE and take the majority of these people into slavery, mostly out of greed and envy. In 2020 Feb 6th I travelled to dubai all in the name of greener pasture, though my friend lives there with her husband that was what helped me from been stranded. I started applying for jobs I lost count of jobs I applied not even one call, instead one of the shops in Abu shagara cos that's where my friend and her husband lives I went to drop my cv, the boss wanted to employ me as house maid. My friend and her husband said I should not do house maid job I was getting tired and that was the pandemic period it wasn't easy getting something doing. If not the dubai govt that extended our stay due to the covid 19. Omo I became so tired I was like in the middle of deep blue sea. I came Sept 2020. Them say who no go no know. I did not regret it cos it was in that situation God located me to my husband.

That’s awesome to hear someone going to Africa and succeeding. Meanwhile we Africans think abroad is everything we here in America doing 5 jobs to make ends meet which is next to impossible due to all the family members back home relying on u. What a waste of time. But some few pple are lucky and make it but I bet u the vast majority regret. The only good thing out the developed countries is that u will always have a job as long as u can work. If u are sick and can’t work then u are doomed. Not even a farm to rely on or family members
