Love the Land Rover train, especially the cab-overs at the back. The scrap train is a nice scale length too. And the Gronk having a crafty snooze in the goods shed. Great layout :)

Hi Mick, thanks for another excellent running session on the wonderful Lakeside. It's always a highlight when you put up a new video. Great to see the Land Rover train and that 20 wagon scrap wagon train is very impressive, I like the DRS double heading. Very interesting to learn that 5grms = One scale ton, I've never considered that before. I like what you have done with the little waterfall beside the new bridge and how it naturally flows into the river. Anyway Mick, stay well, stay safe and I look forward to your next video.

    Hi Mick
Great video, I like that you've taken some older models and are bringing them upto date with sound, lights and other mods.
Your waterfall looks good, the scene looks nice and with more green shrubbs etc will be a real improvement.
I had the same issue with some of my Cobalts and you've reminded me that I have one to check to see if it's okay, DCC Concepts guarantee is very good which makes the rather expensive motors much more reasonable. Sorry you buggered up a slip that must have been very annoying.
    Scrap train looks mint.

Should have 100,000 subs, considering vastly inferior layouts have far more views and often spend a lot of time just talking and not showing the layout in action. Chadwick not included, Charlie has got it totally spot on, but others, well, give me Lakeside and Chadwick any day!

Excellent update and running Mick. I suppose we have to expect track to wear out just like the real railways. Love the new 37, it sounds incredible. It would have been nice to have seen the difference between the sliding doors and the slam doors on the Mk III coaches but you went too fast. I'm feeling further away from getting to a show again as we've just had orders to wear masks again, they expect that to last the rest of the year. Milton Keynes would have been wonderful, I know a lot of the community will be there. You enjoy it on my behalf. I don't know if Roy is going but I'll ask him to keep an eye out for you if he is. The start up sounds just like the real thing. I'd started a few locos in my day to help out the hogger. The newer engines start from the cab now, much nicer. I've had a few that would fire up, but would quickly quit, so I'd move the throttle near the governor to give 'er a few revs, and then they'd run ok. Occasionally have to press start again.

@@michaelsmith-hn1cn Hello again Mick and thanks for your reply. I bought 7 of these Yeoman's and two had the spring missing making the wagon unusable as with the spring missing the knuckle will not close and lock onto the next wagon. There is provision to fit another type of coupling below the Dapol Knuckle coupling BUT I need a socket that would go into this space and then I could fit a NEM Kadee or tension lock coupling into this socket. I have a pack Bachmann socket and tension lock alas the socket is too big to fit into this provision. I have contacted Dapol (they don't supply parts) and DCC supplies and Peters spares they cannot help either. These wagons look as if they will be a problem in future as already the wagons uncouple when running, I use Kadees on a lot of my wagons and do not have this problem. So I wonder as a man of your railway modelling expertise you have any idea where I might obtain a socket that would fit this wagon and then I could use a Kadee/tension lock or even a magnetic coupling. I hope you're well and your wagons are behaving better than mine, Bill.

My wagons have now decided to uncouple when running, so as a last resort (as I cannot find any sockets so that I can fit a kadee) I have applied a small amount of black tack between the two Dapol knuckles, drastic I know but it works. I have nearly all my significant amount of wagons fitted with kadees and have rarely had this problem, uncoupling on the run. I think the wagons are superb but ooh how I wish they had just fitted a normal socket the same as all the other manufactures, so that I could fit a coupling of my choice. Stay well and safe, Bill.
