You might want to take care of the knock sound from the engine. I'd recommend some wolfblood tungsten disulfide powder mixed-up and put in with your oil and over 100 miles it will rebuild any ware in the engine. Brilliant stuff.👍👍
For that exhaust cutting tool.. get a strong zip tie and use it to keep the handles close.. tighten the zip tie as you cut deeper.. you don’t have to squeeze that way… just swivel it back and fourth..
Former advance auto parts employee here. Autozone is indeed terrible from a customer standpoint and a competitor stand point. Although it wasn’t much competition
All I have to say is, the correct way would have been to actually have the pipes connected, plus I work at autozone and all the stuff we get comes pre packaged for our vendor so autozone didn’t put it in the wrong packaging the vendor did
Resonator is just not straight pipe rather a straight pipe with perforations, dampening materials which may contain steel wool and fiberglass to lowering the tone of exhaust gases especially rasp sound
Do you know by any chance if you replace the downpipe with an aftermarket without a tune will it throw a cel? Even if you use a spacer for the O2 sensor? Thanks.
I did that on my Dad's CRX recently, the only thing I notice is the Engine run quieter + smoother. Reason for that is, his Resonator broke inside and it was blocking the Exhaust Flow.
He is deleting the " Resonator ". It's in the center of the Car, that is the part he's cutting off and mending. Also, pause at 8:07... You can still see his Muffler when done.
@@connorwise6716 It's definitely called a resonator, the muffler generally refers to the muffling device at the rear of the car attached to the tail pipes

I did this to my moms mini van and she got really pissed off. Oh, well.
Lmfao that’s awesome 😂😂😂😂
Might of cut the muffler off on accident
Lmao you didn't put the exhaust back now she dropping off your siblings at school looking like a ricer 🤣

Walmart auto section has everything for like 25% cheaper
@@Willppyro that I won’t disagree with
Bro I did a muffler delete on a traverse and ayo it’s cool asf
If you put exhaust tape on it then clap you'll be good to go
So clapping helps after duct tape got it
@@brandonUwanawich954it's the same thing like strapping something down and saying "it ain't going nowhere".
I'm fn CRYIN!! DANG GINNY's 🤌🏽🤌🏽It's the Pipe ova heaa Forget Aboouttt it!!! 2:04
Buddy of mine did it and he also used muffler cement however his bmw went in limpmode. But I'm willing to take chance on my MB all for sweet sound
Most likely removed a o2 sensor or damaged ones
Wow I didn't know 02 sensors made cars go into limp mode. But BMW is just a money pit.
nice DIY and thanks for sharing.Cant wait for your Dyno day and BIF clutch review.keep the Vids coming.
Nicely done and explained
So how does your mom like the new sound? That VTEC kicked in yo!?
Lmfao sounds better than before it was terrible
Don’t do this people. This is some good way of doing things. If you care about your car, get it done properly. Weld it on.
if you want the resonator maybe put back at a later time i suggest getting done at a shop.

Love the hat man
Resonator is just not straight pipe rather a straight pipe with perforations, dampening materials which may contain steel wool and fiberglass to lowering the tone of exhaust gases especially rasp sound
When the resonator gets cut out and the straight pipe is installed will the exhaust have to seal itself between were the delete is welded or clamped
Get good clamps and there will be no leaks
JB weld that shit. 😅
The nearest shop near me is charging me 160 to delete the resonator. No way in hell I'm paying someone to use a saw and a weld a piece.
Then be unhappy with an exhaust that is held together with hose clamps lol
dont be such a jew
@@88kwthomas 😂😂
Resonator is behind axle or? This appears to be a muffler?
It's behind the cat and in front of the muffler about midway.
If you’re worried about any leaks make sure everything is tight and or jb weld that shit.
Bro I'm thinking about doing it on my 2017 MB c300, quick question will I get check engine light also does it mess up electrical or ecu computer..
No just makes the car louder but if your delete the cat you may get an engine light
The shop would have been alot better than some hose clamps. I would of been pissed if someone rigged my exhaust this way.
plenty of factory exhausts are clamped, just not using the cheap ass ones he used
What's up man, just got a chance to check this out good stuff. Always forgot to ask are you a mechanic ?
Just another average Joe :-)
A mechanic would of welded it in.
@@jessjoshwyatt3571 as a mechanic i can confirm
Even at 29 yrs old my mom would kick my ass if i had her resonator removed, she cant stand a loud vehicles
Might wanna fix that rod knock
It’s a piece of junk not worth it lol
I might do this to my mom's honda pilot now lol it sounds good!? how is the inside cabin drone compared to stock? thanks
Lol it's good much better than it was with the huge hole lol
How's is the inside cabin drone though since you removed the resonator compared to stock? thanks
Can't tell the difference lol
That's a good thing so there is very little inside cabin drone then. nice!
definitely didn't make that look easier lol good video though
Do you know by any chance if you replace the downpipe with an aftermarket without a tune will it throw a cel? Even if you use a spacer for the O2 sensor? Thanks.
Yep you'll eventually get one
O2 sensor spacers - no tune needed
How did you add a hanger to match the existing one?
Larry Richelli weld it, test fit and weld it.
If i delete my resonator? Can i just leave it as is? Or i need to seal it with something? Coz im planning to delte my resonator and leave it as is
Yeah you need to seal it, no holes or little gaps, they cause exhaust leaks, reduced back pressure, and o2 sensors going off
It looks like a muffler to me.
Hi , but you did not show us how you Installed the Resonator !
it’s a res delete. he took it off
@@B00BJOB5 ..Thank you darling ..
It’s never going to be right. You should of welded it or got it welded in.
plenty of factory systems are butted and clamped
Oh dear
Was this stock exhaust with res delete?
Yes
Hey look at that, I have bolt ons 😅
Did you notice a mpg and/or horsepower decline after removing the resonator?
Nope just exhaust tone difference
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I did that on my Dad's CRX recently, the only thing I notice is the Engine run quieter + smoother. Reason for that is, his Resonator broke inside and it was blocking the Exhaust Flow.
Hey are you located in LI? Can you give me a hand on this? I’ll compensate you of course.
I don't have anytime to work on my own car now days lol
wouldnt you just compensate an exhaust shop
where would i find a pipe suitable for an res/muffler delete
Most local auto parts would carry
How soon should you replace it after cutting off?
Never use these clamps future viewers
Gary
guys should i res delete my civic 🤣
Lol bro I got a Honda Pilot and gti too
The chain cutter takes forever
Indeed but such a clean way to do it
yoow west side g
thats a muffler, not the same thing as a resonator

OMG.... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s a muffler bud
No that's not bud. It's a 2 foot resonator.
