I’m actually doing this right now… NG7, no healing, no armor, clubs only(one flameart one occult), and only a couple incants, and no summoning except for the duo and trio bosses if I need them(as in, Godskin duo or crystalians) to take the Agro off a little.

Makes you really calculate your windows cause you have to start over each time! And then because clubs are so short, you basically have to be chest to chest with most enemies… so for instance, Morgott, first phase is fine enough cause you’ve done twice before, but second phase is a nightmare! Hahaha
I’ve come back a year later to say that club only is in fact, much easier than people would like to tell you. My guide is literally just this. Level Vigor and Strength exclusively, blue dancer talisman, and the axe talisman. The scaling for the club is fantastic, and a heavy infusion with a DIFFERENT roar ash of war, makes it even better. (War Cry instead of Barbaric Roar, giving you distance to charge up and sprint forward.) Keep your club decently upgraded, and you’ll find that the club’s stance damage and general damage is just plain disgusting. (Two to three charged attacks staggers most bosses for a free riposte.) The most difficult part is just resisting the temptation to do literally anything else, because the club is Fromsoft’s Equivalent of one solution to all your problems. It’s even disgusting against npcs. Go forth, my fellow cavemen, and bonk their heads in. Edit: Also, for additional disgusting behavior, strength tear, and charged tear. Your charged attacks will generally be doing at the very LEAST three times your base damage, and god knows how much bonus stance damage. Also, the reason why I recommend only leveling vigor and strength, is because you have NO NEED for other stats. You’re not gonna wear armor, and the club takes very little stamina in comparison to other weapons, so no need for endurance. The blue dancer charm is a mainstay, after all. The only things that will really give you any trouble are things like the black blade kindred at the bestial sanctum, which are broken by design. But even against freaks like them, it’s still plenty effective due to the damage output, low stamina cost, and your VERY light equip load. (Also, remember to keep your club upgraded. It deals pure blunt damage, so you one shot most if not all the miners. It’s basically the equivalent of free power.) Also, if you’re in need of even MORE power, I recommend the roar talisman for some extra oomph to charged heavies during your ash of war. I think the warrior’s shard also buffs the roar damage, but I’m not too sure on that front.
well now im playing elden in this way, i have completed demon souls, and the 3 dark souls games with club and reinforced club only, i think im going to finish this one with club too hahaha, i use weapon STR affinity that is C, and pass to B, the more STR has the character more unga bunga damage...

Here’s a tip. There’s a talisman that boosts your damage the less equip load you have. With club only, that’s basically just free oonga boonga.

Caveman mode is clubs only, no armor. You can use other better clubs though. I beat the game with the great club
