  • I took off the crappy fiberglass composite running boards and put on factory Z71 sidesteps on the oem running board brackets.

    The video has been a big help but would the z71 cladding fit if you chose to put it on… trying to do this on a non z71 Tahoe

      The cladding goes on the brackets that hold the steps, so you would have to drill holes and rivet the brackets onto your nonZ71 Tahoe or screw them on.

    Hey bro I have a 2003 Yukon XL how was you able to remove the side steps the factory side steps because I just took the side steps from the Z71 suburban and I'm trying to do the same thing you did

      The factory running boards just unbolt from the brackets on the underside of the running board.
