The type of man who puts forth effort and time and planning to violate women’s privacy is a special degenerate category of men. A desire to violate, a plan to violate, an intention to violate and taking action to violate. Disavowing their own integrity and violating others. How toxic.

I am Korean living in Korea. This happened to me but the sad part was it was actually my boyfriend who was secretly filming me.. It happened in 2013 and there was no words to describe these kind of criminals back then so I was really confused, I couldn’t describe my situation to anyone. Somehow I managed to tell adult men in the church that I went to at that time, and I just ended up being bullied for being sexually active. Somehow it was very OK to hate a sex crime victim in Korea for a very long time… and.. yeah. It’s still happening. I can’t even mention my experience in korea, or say there are sex crimes happening in public spaces, it’s considered as forbidden thing to say.

I'm from the U.S. and I don't use public bathrooms at all. Even when I use to go clubbing, I never used the bathrooms. I wait until I get home. Thanks for warning us about the camera and unwanted touch from these creepy guys. Congrats on graduating, but your school should have taken that incident more seriously. They only would if it happens to someone that they love.

I second that. I know at least one guy who used these. You are safer not to go to bathrooms in sleazy places like clubs and bars. Even hotel rooms are not safe sometimes. He (middle aged guy, two kids) used to tell us how proud he was to take pics of teenage girls and make them uncomfortable and used to tell us his fantasies and laugh about it. Keep safe...

I'm from germany. This is mind blowing to me. I can't imagine how women must feel knowing that this often happens. I wonder if I would dare to use a public restroom (and I often use them) because of it. Thank you for talking about this important topic. I love your videos and that we as foreigners get some insight in korean society. I love watching K-Dramas but I'm aware that it's not reality. I actually saw a scene where this thing happened to a character (hidden camera) in Buisness proposal and was very shocked. The character seemed to have a trauma (I don't know how else to call it) because of it and I totally understood. It's horrible and sad.
But, to not leave the comment on such a negative note, I really like your content and that you are so open-minded. I recently watched your video about leaving mid sex when you're not enjoying it and girl, I watched it more than one time after that. xD It was entertaining, respectful and had a great message. Also your video about depression. These two stood out to me the most. I hope you're doing well. Regards from Germany!

I'm South American and we definitely have our own problems, however I don't want to talk about that right now. I just want to share a small observation be I've made about gender dynamics. You see, I've asked around to my many cousins and also my classmates in university (I went to a public university in which there was people from different social classes backgrounds, there was a similar amount of men and women in my career), about their school experience... One of the things that stood out to me is that, contrary to what people who advocate for separating men and women's education, for the shake of their "virtue" or pacing their development and expecting them to start interacting when they're "mature adults"... In mix-genders schools that had classrooms with an even amount of men and women, in which they interacted since they were little kids... The average age in which people start being sexually active is a lot older and people get less distracted from their studies by things such as dating or relationship drama. In contrast, in segregated schools with "only girl" or "only boys", there was a higher percentage of students that would start having sex at a very young age, also a higher percentage of people that would become isolated from the opposite sex, also a higher number of teen pregnancies (although this last thing of non planned pregnancies seems to be more influenced by social class and level of education).
For example, I went to the same mix-gendered private school since I was 5 until 18, and I had a lot of classmates (including myself) that were "late bloomers". (Obviously, this wasn't the case for everyone, I did also have classmates who started having sex very young... But overall, most of them had healthy relationships). My friend went to an all girls schools and in her school, there was a lot of people obsessed over needing to date (it was partially morbid curiosity about sex, partially a social status/popularity thing)... A lot of girls would experiment a lot and go to parties organized between an all women's and an all men's school frequently. People would seek any interaction with the opposite sex, only to find a girlfriend/boyfriend, as if it was a competition, not even try to make friends. My youngest brothers go to and all boys school and another thing the segregated schools seem to have in common, is a tendency to have a more generalized "bullying culture" to create social hierarchy (the bullying is specially nasty in highly academically competitive schools). There's a more crude use of language, more of a gang mentality, more judgement based on appearance/social class/sports/academics, and even more violence between schools. This leads me to believe that not segregating genders in schools (and diversity in general, of any forms) truly helps to develop empathy and social awareness.

My brother was watching this video with me (he's also your fan) and straight up asked what makes these dudes get off on potentially watching a 70 year old woman blow her load in a public toilet? He can't wrap his mind about these kinds of crimes. Like realistically they get all types of women on videos from elderly women to underage girls, like eeeww wtf. I've seen videos from other channels about the dangers of incels following women home after drinking or coming across a drunk girl and following her and trying to force his way into her house. Luckily their doors automatically locked both times but holy shit it was fucking scary. I have so much respect and gratitude towards you for being real and completely honest about the realities, bc so many foreigners really do have this unrealistic image about korean men and korean society. I know not all korean men are like this but people who don't live there never know who's safe and who's not. Really thank you for not just saying to come to Korea bc it's so perfect, and instead being honest about the society and potentially saving someone's life. ❤️

Thanks for speaking up Kelsey, it’s so important that this is discussed so that Koreans can give it more thought and possibly society will change and it will stop - and that foreigners are forewarned too of course, because we aren’t very familiar with that sort of crime, it doesn’t happen much in the west (I guess porn is so prevalent here and accessible that watching someone pee isn’t a big deal so no one wants it🤷‍♂️🙈 i suspect actual sexual assault is more common that is reported in South Korea though, I think your law makes it difficult to win such a case and there is still a stigma about being a victim that many don’t report it…Women are treated poorly in many countries (much worse than in Korea) - Korea is probably better than you think - I hear many young people speak of very progressive views regarding gender equality and women’s rights on some of the videos I watch, so I think it’s getting better. 💜💜

Once, i was passing through that area and saw that the gym had shut down completely. Got to know later that someone had found a hidden camera in the ladies changing room 🤢 Thankfully, i had never used the changing room there so i was relieved but imagine finding out you went to some public bathroom and there was a camera installed there like how far can people go honestly!

I was super uncomfortable with the whole voyeuristic CCTV-watching plot in The K2 - exactly what you are talking about... I think in most countries voyeurism is seen as creepy, but clearly the writers/producers of that drama (and others) want to depict it as cute & romantic. It reminds me of early British “risqué” silent movie tropes of “What the butler saw”. It’s pretty gross.

In Ukraine, hidden cameras are something unusual. They can be found only in some cheap sex hotels or "special" saunas. But it is always a scandal. A few years ago, a student installed a camera in a girl's shower. And it was so strange and unusual, that it was shown on national television. The boy was caught because the camera automatically turned on in response to movement, and the first recording from the camera was this very student at the time the camera was installed.

I was glancing through the comment section and the word “ perverts” sprang into my eyes: what on earth could be so attractive when a woman tries to urinate or defecate??? And then there are the KDramas, which- from my perspective- are just good enough for practicing Korean listening, but the actresses have to portray women that are devout and submissive. I share your frustration, may be there’s hope, if boys ( and girls) learned to interact more naturally with each other. I know it’s easier said than done. Nevertheless, Korea still remains a top travel county for me. 😎. Wish you the best. Take care

I've just come from watching her video on when she graduated and depression.
She is lively and fun to watch in her other videos too.
She is a beautiful soul 🧡

OMG if this is all true, it's terrible. I guess for these things to get better they will have to change some aspects of their culture, which will be tough to do, but worth it in the end.

Is it possible that too much studying, or work keeps people from learning social skills? Then there are guys who are only concerned about getting attention people or women. There are grown men in my building who act like that...Thanks Kelsey for keeping us informed!! 💖💗💞🙏

We hear about secret camera crimes on the Korean news almost every single day. Be sure to block any suspicious objects (e.g. water bottle) or holes in public bathroom

In the late 2000s I briefly worked at a vocational school with most adult girls up to age 21, but also teen girls 17+. Being not a sex offender my PO did not object. A guy working at the school used these for awhile. Eventually he got busted of course - the cameras were relatively large and bulky and obviously cameras. But tech is so advanced now, it's crazy. I'm sure few ppl would get busted now. Not sure what happened to him. Shoutout to you Remend.

Why are you saying women as woman instead of wi·muhn? Is that how canadians say it?
