In this video, 1A Auto shows you how to repair, install, fix, change or replace the door and rocker panel ground effects on a Camaro Iroc-Z. This video is applicable to the Chevy Camaro, years 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, and 92.

5:55 If you go to do this job on a Firebird or trans am there are 2 10 mm nuts behind the wheel well. The nuts are near the top of the rocker piece, and if you have vented fenders, the door edge nut is very difficult to reach. Thankfully, if you snap a rusted bolt in this section, they can be replaced with a carriage bolt from your local hardware store. You need a deep 10mm socket and a lot of patience. The fender vents can not come out unless the front nut is completely removed and the rear nut must be loosened. There are 2 clips holding on the fender vent on the wheel well side, they are steel and i used a short 5/16 flat blade screw driver to comress the clip and push it out. Do the top first and shimmy the whole vent up slightly so that the bottom clip is easier to compress. 5:55

do you have a vid on fixing the fog lights on the same year maro? my 91 z28 has new bulbs but they wont turn on, im pretty sure it might be an electrical problem but I want to be sure before i start ripping wires out. thanks.
Im trying to remove the.rocker.panels.on my 91 i was wondering if you neew to remove the bolt throught inside to remove it?
Can the right ground effects go on a camaro even if it never had them before?? Or do adjustments have to be made
They should just bolt right on for you. If the doors have any type of a sagging issue, they may scrape the ground effect. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
How exactly do you remove the rear quarter trim? I don't want to damage it as I would like to reuse it but I couldn't find a video on your channel explaining how to remove it.
8 years later and I don’t have an idea either. I’m about to drive to a guys house to buy the rocker off him and I have ZERO idea how to remove that rear interior trim and don’t want to break it.

Why in the world would you not use some penetrating oil before beginning to attempt to remove those rusty fasteners?

Maybe so but you run the risk of stripping the risk head .ir rounding the Phillips cross anytime you remove rusty screws or bolts. It's always a good idea to use some type of penetrating oil just as a good measure.
