I never usually comment on UA-cam videos, but i just saw 2 of your videos and I'm blown away with how much direction you just gave me. Thank you so much Wilson.
Really appreciate this video! So transparent and simple! Thank you so much for making these videos and sharing them for FREE. Furthermore it's fascinating to see you talking about engagement, and as I scroll down, I see an incredible level of engagement with your viewers!
Thanks for tuning in Abel! Just sharing some things I've learned and screwed up on through my journey, that I think others may find somewhat applicable :)
i actually do. email me wilson@720sweets.com its all about the culture. align your staff's vision and desires. provide them support, empower them and they will work like they own your shop! :)
Hi Wilson I found your content to be valuable and important. But I have few questions. What are the things I need to consider when offering my services for the food and business market. I understand the planning and shooting phase. But how I'm I able to get the pictures from my client business like in the food distribution industry? I'm doing remote service as of the moment. Should the client be the one who are responsible in the shooting part of their products and I'll just ask for their pictures and I'll be the one doing the rest of distribution and engagement part in their social media accounts? Or should I make my own works in doing research of their product online and make an interesting and creative pics with engaging content?
Hey Wilson, am from Nigeria and am currently working on a project for a shawarma, burger and milkshakes joint can you help me choose a color for the shop??...am confused...
WoW! Wilson, this is exactly what I need for my ice cream truck business. I have saved this video to my favorites because I know I will refer to it often as there are so many great actionable steps. I think this dispels my fears of social media postings because I thought I have to post every day. It's seems much easier doing it your way. Also, I have art skills and Photoshop to enhance the pics. One question, though. Is it okay to post photos of customers with your products? Or should I just get family and friends to model for me? Thanks for such great content.
thats awesome to hear! :) batch shooting makes content creation much more enjoyable. one note though is to not batch TOO much because you may need to pivot as your business evolves and as you hear feedback from your customers. best to ask your customers if its ok. usually, they are ok with it.
Hi! These are awesome tips. But how do you reach to 11k followers and also increase engagements? I can see that your instagram (720sweets) has that many followers but only average on about 60-80 likes. I’m managing two accounts (own 2 café’s) and have about 2k followers on of them and have the same issues. Are you focusing on other marketing strategies or social media platforms like Facebook? I found that in my other café’, (which only has 700+ Instagram followers), people are more into Facebook. So, I left Instagram as is and just focus on fb. However, it’s a difficult season and I need more visibility.
Yea the engagement has been pretty bleh for a while. But that's just their way of trying to get us to spend on ads. However we try not to focus too much on the vanity metrics - especially since the brand got the massive brand push in the initial years. Found that # of followers and likes and comments don't mean too much in the grand scheme of things. Even if our IG is popping, it doesn't mean people are buying our stuff. A like or comment can't be traded for $$. Rather I suggest focusing on the touch points you have with people and community. That will be the thing that transforms a person into a loyal fan and keeps coming back. You can make posts go out on both your FB and IG. Would recommend keeping up with both. People will always search your cafes up on their most convenient platform. And IG just released new stickers to support businesses.
