    👀 ABOUT THIS VIDEO
Want to open a successful restaurant? These 5 restaurant hiring tips will help with that because hiring an all-star team is absolutely necessary for your success.. But many restaurant owners are stuck figuring out how to find and hire good restaurant employees. In this video, I give you some restaurant hiring tips and practices to hire that A-list talent.
The number one problem I hear from restaurant owners is on hiring. How can they find someone who cares for their business? Someone who isn't there just to collect a paycheque. A good employee that has common sense and is not toxic? If only they can find these unicorns they can build a successful restaurant and food business!
I've been through all that before. But now I am able to step away from working IN my shop and work ON it instead. I'm also able to go on vacations and spend time with my family because I have found my All-Star team that I trust and have confidence in caring for my business. It wasn't easy finding these people, but after some soul searching, I was able to discover exactly the characteristics of a good employee or all-star staff need to have. I also share with you 4 places you can potentially look to find and hire these top restaurant employees.
If you're looking to learn how to hire good employees, how to find good restaurant employees, restaurant hiring practices, cut restaurant turnover, restaurant hiring tips, how to find good restaurant employees, or how to start a successful restaurant, then keep watching!

Ways to find your all-star team thru:
    1. Referrals
    2. Website & Social Media
    3. Job sites & newspaper
    4. Headhunters & consultants
"A lot of times, what makes someone an all-star is when their values match your values." I sincerely agree with this statement. Thank you for this, Wilson. 🙌

It’s all talk until you start to hire. 😂 Think about it your paying bare minimum price and you are looking for all those traits? How
    Much you pay your employees?

i have worked in restaurants for years. Most people in those places have no integrity. So much theft. No accountability. Lot of drugs and nepotism. Horrible. The owners dont care because their only goal is to keep the stores running.

that can be very true however that also allows for good staff members to be taken advantage of! Without the care that employees are humans with hopes and dreams you do not have a humane employee. i apologize but being a waitress is not the most important thing in my life my hopes dreams and family are working for someone who will help me take care of those things allows me to take care of their business and put that on my top list of priorities, they can become a type of family to me.

Good video, thanks. I had my doubts about your ideas at the beginning of the video but I was fully on board at the end. These values need to be repeated every so often to ensure they become Atomic Habits (James Clear)
All the characteristics you look for require the person to “First seek to understand” as impulsive. Then to look upon every problem as a welcome challenge. Then to execute a step by step simple solution and wrap up with feedback (PDCA or TEFCAS)

You can’t have a ALL STAR 🌟 Staff without paying above $23.00 hr. In my area like a lot of metro areas there is over 4,000 plus jobs at 15hr….. Then there are over 1,500 jobs available ……for jobs $20hr. Finally there are less than 500 jobs available above $23hr. So if you want consistent workers not quitting over and over….. YOU MUST PAY $23hr to access workers that keep coming back. The days of low pay for hardworking staff is over. The moms have to be available for children of schools that treat kids like infectious aliens that must stay home at the drop of a simple cough. Not until kids are in school Fully can you have access to the 50% moms willing to work for low wages.

Consultants do not always equal heavy fees.........actually could be less cost than internal

    • @WilsonKLee
      @WilsonKLee  4 роки тому

perhaps. just my experience with them is always quite heavy in fees.. anyone who is good and qualified will not charge any less because they know their worth... :)

Agreed some consultants work with guarantees and an extensive network. Recommendation to work with someone with great experience and will get to know your culture and mission/values and negotiate rates always. Especially now with the pandemic, many have reduced fees. Let me know (and I also support entry level positions for customer service as they are hard to find and truly match up skill-set with customer service and create a high-performance team. Morgan@hospitalityconsulting.co I am here to support! Wilson great video with great experience and hands-on struggle finding amazing employees. GREAT JOB!
