Bro I just rattled off 3 commander victories in a row after watching this, then in the 4th game I went SL and started building garrisons along the 4 pack which allowed my team to win. Amazing content please make more.
This makes me very happy to read. I'm trying to make some more videos, but these take a lot of time and the subjects can be difficult to break into digestible chunks. Like this video here is already super long and I could've kept going for another 30 minutes just explaining this concept further. So I'm not sure what the next subject I want to tackle is... probably "How to Commander" type of series or "How to Squas Lead" and use the "Garrison Meta" as an initial building block... so I can just reference back to this video anytime I say "Garrison Meta"
@@WingalingDragon Would love to see some top-level commander stuff. I've gone back and watched some of the games you've uploaded and it's clear you have a great understanding of the role.
@@WingalingDragon By all means I am down for even an extended version of this video. Apart from understanding the game better, I also find the tactics involved fascinating!
Stopped playing commander because I was so fed up and frustrated with all the cats. I would spend the whole game building garries just to lose anyway because the team wasn’t defending (always start with multiple defense garries). Your Bob Ross mentality and not building attack garries has made me decide to take it up again. Thanks for the video and positive attitude!
Hell yeah man! Glad to hear that. Thing to remember is... you can do everything right and set everyone up for success, and they might still lose. Sometimes, the enemy team is just better. No shame in it! Glad to see another capable and selfless commander out there setting teams up properly! o7
Thanks for this video, I have to say the end talking about locked garries just meaning more defense is something I never really considered. Probably because most games I play don't have this type of garry coverage!
Such valuable information here. During my HLL game time today I noticed a commander doing almost something like this, we even had good fallback garrisons. It seemed as the game went on he either ran out of nodes/resources or lost interest because eventually he stopped herding us cats and we were almost just running in straight lines on the map. He was yelling out for more nodes so I guess he just couldn't keep up. Now with this info from your vid when I look at the map I can tell real early if this is going to be a tough battle or if we will have a bit of an easier time. Awesome video.
Thank you, kindly. Working on making more, but these type of videos are massively time-consuming. If they help even one person to understand and enjoy the game better, they'll be worth the time. o7

Passive herding cats. Nailed it. Excellent intel found here, taken knowledge and extracted. Thank you for the video!
It's really nice to see people out here willing to do the necessary work. Looking forward to seeing your garrison networks!
@@WingalingDragon im on console and play skirmish mostly but the networks will be impressive!

"Your mileage may vary" LOL
Love it!
Wish I had you as a commander every game
this dudes like Bob Ross but instead of painting pretty clouds on a canvas, he's painting the map with garrisons 🤌
Thanks brother. It's not much, but it is honest work. Somebody has to keep those danger tables up, lol.
This video is incredible
Wish more people knew how it worked.
Fantastic video for new players! Thank you

Random rifleman out in the middle of nowhere. "Fuck all" Seems legit. :D
Excellent explanation. Hopefully your HLLer "cats" are smart 😉 cats. Well done!
I have never felt more like a cat. I”m ok with this. Good vibes o7
You're like the Bob Ross of Hell Let Loose 😂 awesome advice tho! 🤘
Glad the video is still out there helping people!
@WingalingDragon I got 3 different wins after watching your video. 🤘
