Good take, even if a guitar player can only play basic chords, there's so much more to it. Can they keep a consistent rhythm? How well do they sing and play at the same time? Are the chords played cleanly and sound great? Etc etc... most of music is built upon simple chord progressions anyways.

His level of playing works great for the type of music that he creates, and one could argue that he makes great music. He is not as good as guys like Clapton, Mayer, or Frusciante; but that's ok. "Do you ever shred?"
The most imbecile question to ever ask a pop artist. Give him a break, his pipes are what should be focused on, not his guitar skills as he has always clarified it that he is not much of a guitarist and that's okay.

ive been very critical of ed sheeran in the past and im not the biggest fan of his music, but my god that voice is incredible. if he collaborated with some less poppy artists that could support him he would be a great act.

2023 years humans have been mistakenly calling THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS…gravity…because they pushed themselves back to living in the past…to make words that are memories and they don’t feel THE CREATOR s touch so much until they get in a wreck….how many have you KILLED that were half god Almighty.

Inspired by Clapton, with Collins on drums. No wonder his music is so dull.
