I’ve got a power steering pump leak on my 2017. Trying to decide if I want to fix myself and if I want to use an oem pump or aftermarket. Now that you’ve done this multiple times what do you suggest?
Had the same issue turns it was my engine timing cover that was leaking. I have warranty but it’s still a 4-5 day repair job
I wish I still had a warranty. 😢
Are you saying you couldn't tell if your PS fluid was running low? Or are you implying this vids poster thought wrong and he couldn't tell?
After 5 pumps you will think he got a electric ratchet 😂😂
Great video buddy mine just started to leak 2017 Tacoma I wonder if it would be better to rebuild
Im thinking it a design problem. I used a stop leak and its hold just fine for now. Ill see if i can send the name of the formula product. 👍
Did you notice the power steering pump says Toyoda not Toyota? Are sure this was an original part?
i did notice it after someone pointed it out. I ordered it from some toyota dealer on the mainland. Looks like I got screwed.
How is the fabtech kit holding up so far. Any issues with cv boots or anything at all?
So far its holding up. No issues yet. My axles are not at crazy angles so its good for now. 🤙
I guess I should be expecting mine to leak too.
never can tell. I think I need to start your cat shield project first.
Mine started and is now low. How did this pump work out
so far its working but I did not have a chance to off road and work it hard. it seems to be a common problem with toyota
@@infiniteprojects808 copy that. Thanks for the response. Im going to replace myself when i get back to the bay from san diego
A factory part would'nt misspell their own name! Toyoda? Its toyota
I just noticed that also. I got ripped off from China again ☹
@@infiniteprojects808 No, sometimes it’s spelled “Toyoda” for whatever reason, on my original ‘95 transmission it is Toyoda.
Btw I am still driving a ‘95 Tacoma with the original ps pump, 280000 miles. The brand is definitely going downhill.
