Stevie was a conduit connected to the source of something higher. He didn’t have to “try to play music,” it flowed through him. Lol LOVE IT when people react to Stevie Ray Vaughan he's a bad man on the 🎸 one of the Greatest. Enjoy if you get a chance get in step that's his last album I believe that's his best work he was sober and. I am so lucky that I got a chance to see him play before he passed away the concert was in step the new album Austin Texas baby.
The El Mo! I lived right down the street. This downtown bar has hosted many talented musicians, like the Stones and Elvis Costello, not to mention some amazing local Canadian bands, if you were a musician in Toronto, the ultimate goal was to be on the El Mo stage! It closed in 2014 and recently opened in September with new owner and a whopping 35 million dollar renovation. Lots of good memories I have of there, being a young twenty something, with my friends, getting drunk and listening to some kick ass indie bands. This place is truly a treasure for so many!
Stevie will continue to shock and astound you every time you see him play. Next you need to watch him play Pipeline with his brother Jimmie Vaughan, also an accomplished guitarist. You also should watch him play Look At Little Sister with Jeff Healey, another great guitarist who was completely blind!
Thanks, Bros - this is absolutely the best song you could have done to witness the genius of SRV! I have heard it said that Stevie didn't play the guitar - the guitar played Stevie - seems simplistic on its surface, but in a way.. kind of right - it always seemed like he was listening to the guitar.. more than making it do his bidding.. lol
I was fortunate enough to see Stevie Ray several times. 1st when I was ateenager in Lubbock Texas in a club when he was starting out before he was famous and and again in Abilene Texas a few months before he passed. Watching Stevie Ray in person was beautiful and magical experience.
Bros, so much fun watching your reaction, especially when Stevie played behind his back. The man was a genius. Before him, Jimi Hendrix played the guitar not only behind his back, but also with his teeth and tongue. I saw him at Woodstock 69. Hope you have a chance to watch his performance at Woodstock of the “Star-Spangled Banner”, the National Anthem for the U.S.
Stevie was absolutely gifted and so too Mr Hendrix, just a bit of info, Jimi once said the best he ever heard was a guitarist by the name of Terry Kath of the group Chicago. Another who left us too soon and one of the most underrated. Enjoyed your reaction you guys. Peace
This is from SRV live at EL Moccambo, and it is his best live performance on tape. The bassist in a book claimed that, this being back in Stevie's addiction days, they had to rouse him from a cocaine black out, where he rushed to the stage and immediately did this. That explains the sweat and all the extra notes.
SRV's guitar virtuosity is beyond description but then you add his growling emotive voice and it puts it all over the top. Also love Cold Shot, Couldn't Stand the Weather and Scuttle Buttin' is maybe the most amazing playing ever, right up there with Eruption by Eddie Van Halen but in a different way.
Priceless reactions, bro!! In my humble opinion, he's the king of being in touch with, or in tune with his guitar. King of the soulful improvisation. Also one of the best showmen. Jimmy was a super talent. He was massively creative and helped to open up the door to what was possible to do with a guitar. A true trailblazer. I wish our Georgia was more like your Georgia. Keep doin' what you are doin'!! Been subbed for a while now Great stuff! Cheers from North Carolina, USA.
Texas Blues! None better! RIP SRV. ❤🙏 Think about it! Behind his back AND upside down! Jimi Hendrix played behind his back & with his teeth; but, Stevie Ray (who ALSO played with his teeth!) was incredible! SRV, his brother Jimmy & Double Trouble made some REALLY great music! 🔥🤘

I saw Stevie Ray live 3 times. Every time was a great experience. One of the very best if not the very best of all time. My opinion is that he took what Jimi Hendrix did to another level. Try listening to : Crossfire, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Pride and Joy, Cold Shot and Life by the Drop. thanks guys great reaction
When it comes to soul and feel for the guitar SRV is the GOAT. There's no other guitar player that could match this performance for playing the Blues.
Greatest guitarist ever, -aint' gone a give up on love- another killer song!!!!!!!!!!
De los mejores 🎸🎸de todos los Tiempos del Rock!! Grande Stevie!!
This is one of the better reaction videos to this, and I've seen a ton of 'em. They're sweating, red faced, laughing incredulously, just awesome.
Makes me so happy to watch your reaction. Love Stevie Ray ❤️ Thank you!!
It's really enjoyable watching you guys truly enjoy one of the best guitarist to ever walk this earth. R I p Stevie ray.
Thanks, Bros - this is absolutely the best song you could have done to witness the genius of SRV! I have heard it said that Stevie didn't play the guitar - the guitar played Stevie - seems simplistic on its surface, but in a way.. kind of right - it always seemed like he was listening to the guitar.. more than making it do his bidding.. lol
Stevie Ray Vaughn live in Tokyo. Tin Pan Alley. It's awesome
Your best video ever. Makes me so happy. Love you guys!
Great job, guys. I had fun…
Peace
If you haven't seen it yet, look up SRV breaks a string keeps on going. Song "Look at Little Sister".
The best blues guitar performance youll probably ever see. I saw him play live twice and sooo glad I did.
Y'all are cracking me up. Thanks again for the SRV 💕😘
Try out something slower by Stevie like riviera paradise or tin pan alley, its mind-blowing...soo amazing!!
Lenny. Oh, my God, Lenny!
Two great choices TB2798! Notice that Riviera Paradise was more Jazz guitar than blues? SRV could play anything, but preferred the blues.
Wow! What a great reaction!! Love to see such a genuine reaction to witnessing guitar greatness!
I believe he is better than Hendrix, I get attacked for saying it, this was in eighty two, seven years before his death.
There is no one else like this! I have looked for many years
Absolutely the BEST Reaction !!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Goat
The best reaction to SRV I have seen to date.
You two guys are hilarious.
Thank you for making me laugh while listening to SRV turn it loose.
There are no words. Just enjoy.
You HAVE to watch SRV play with the late Jeff Healey ( who was blind) - "Look at Little Sister".
Cheers from North Carolina, USA.
i think my state of Georgia is great. Will be better when we get rid of that demoncrat, I mean democrat Raphael Warlock I mean Warnock
Texas Blues! None better! RIP SRV. ❤🙏
Think about it! Behind his back AND upside down! Jimi Hendrix played behind his back & with his teeth; but, Stevie Ray (who ALSO played with his teeth!) was incredible! SRV, his brother Jimmy & Double Trouble made some REALLY great music! 🔥🤘
SRV's playing gives people permanant goose bumps and chills!
Man, reading the comments gets me choked up again. GOD bless everyone for keeping the music alive. 🙏 🎸❕
