    You have just witnessed one of the greatest guitar player ever. Stevie Ray Vaughan born in suburbs of Dallas Texas was playing guitar at the age of 7 years old was influenced by legendary blues artists first and foremost his older brother Jimmy Vaughan who is a legend in his own right. Other artists include B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, and a host of other legendary blues artists. Stevies talents were off the chain. They describe him as saying "he played like a man on fire." The world mourned the untimely death of Stevie Ray Vaughan, his musical talent and gift of expression through his music will live in our hearts forever. RIP Stevie.

    I commented already, but I have to say, people that don't play guitar might miss out on this (as well as a lot here lol), but when he reaches over to tune his "hi E" string, he's doing that BEFORE he goes nuts bending that string 🤯... so he's anticipating the drop in tune that he's about to give it by bending the hell out of it, plus the little extra high notes he'll get by doing that early... Any players out there will get what I'm saying. That's f*n insane. I dont think I've ever seen anybody do that. Even Hendrix. 🤯🤘💙🤯

    • @nelsonx5326
      @nelsonx5326 3 роки тому +6

      He didn't sound out of tune, I was wondering why he did that quick adjustment. Stevie can bend the hell out of a string. I play, I understand what your saying. Very good call, Zack, most excellent.

    • @sangertx9077
      @sangertx9077 Рік тому

      Nope, no way. No decent guitar player pre-tunes a string sharp, before bends, anticipating that it will drop. Especially a guitar player of his caliber. He has guitar techs and any number of manufacturers that would ensure he’s playing equipment that doesn’t have to be tricked like that.

Check out the Hopkins biography - both volumes have images of documents like his booking card from when he was arrested in Houston, work visas, a Canadian fishing license, etc. All list him at 5’-9”. If you haven't done it yet you need to react to SRV performing Life Without You live at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ in 1985. Not only does Stevie Ray play the guitar with his teeth in that stunning performance.....he actually loses a tooth in the process! To me, that performance of Life Without You is the greatest guitar performance I've ever seen.....and I've seen a lot!

    I've been to SRV childhood house. He comes from humble beginnings in Texas. IMO one of the top 5 best guitarists of ALL TIME. NO CONTEST.

    Stevie Ray was playing that guitar at 9 yrs. old. He used it as a means to escape the horrible abuse he suffered from a sorry man he knew as a father. A musical genius and his guitar, God I'll always be missing him.

    SRV is my favorite guitar artist, he helped me begin my love for the delta blues,SRV is a legend and had so much soul it gives me goosebumps. I have all his albums!his brother Jimmy Vaughn was the guitarist in the Fabulous Thunderbirds and now playing in his own band,I got to meet him once,it was such an honor. Cool cat...SRV ,his inspiration came from Jimmy Hendrix and Robert Johnson, check out Johnny winter and buddy guy two more very great blues guitarist, got to meet these two as well!

    The difference is while Voodoo child is a very special song, TEXAS FLOOD is original. In fact it’s a whole album. I know it is for others, but speaking for myself as a proud TEXAN, it’s just very gratifying that we get to claim STEVIE as a native son. TEXAS PRIDE is a real thing. It’s not arrogant, it’s not swag, it’s not braggadocios, well a little, but for good reason. We can back it up. We are extremely proud to have TEXAS music representatives like STEVIE, PANTERA and Z Z TOP. It’s great the amazing reception they deservedly get.
