Wow so informative.. I’m a beginner and been thinking of a new profession since the COVID-19 pandemic I work in the medical field.. I’ve tried to do acrylic nails years ago in the early 90’s when I would buy the cheap kits from the store. They never came out right lol.. so I would give up and get my nails done at the nail shop. I’ve spent so much money and time in those places but I’ve learned a lot by watching them as well.. and with technology today and online shopping so many things have become accessible to the public you can purchase all you need to begin to begin doing your own nails. Especially UA-cam being a great outlet to learn more about apply nail application. I’m 48 and a little hesitant to even get started with this but I’m gonna step out on faith and see where this journey takes me. Your very thorough and easy to listen to and for that you have a new subbed.
Out of all the videos I watch I feel you are the most honest about the brands and you explain very well. I am glad to see you making videos again. I love watching your videos I keep checking you to see what you posted.
This was great! I'm definitely going to try the idea about the alcohol. There have been a few nail techs who have used that pump metal top container/bottle that is either plastic or glass on the bottom. They say that cuts down on the smell, too
Hiiiii! So glad to see you posting again! I’m a new subscriber! I have my notebook and pen, ready to learn. You’re a great teacher! Thanks for all you do! Your content is A1!!
I use an empty acetone jug or any type of container and put all the smelly stuff in and keep the cap on. Throw it out when its full. Most of the smell is on your wipe paper towel and if u get rid of that right away your good!
Very helpful! I do my own nails & I only use dip powder and now I would like to try the odorless monomer... but's it's different, very sticky & it takes too long to dry. I saw a video & I learned to add some 100% acetone to help it dry faster and not be so runny, so I'm going to give it a try! Thank you for your video!
Thank you for the alcohol tip, I have also heard people say to use a window fan that sucks the air out of the room and blows it outside. Do you have a Facebook page?
The salon I work at uses MMA acrylic. I looked it up for the state of VA and they are allowed to use it here. I thought it was banned everywhere, but I guess not. When I walk into work they NEVER turn the air vent in the ceiling on and I about pass out from the smell. It makes my heart palpitate, I get dizzy and then I'm smelling that smell seriously in my nose for the next 2 day's! Is that normal? The part about still smelling it. I can't stand it. This only usually happens when I first come into work if they've been doing a lot of acrylics that morning. I guess it doesn't bother the other 4 people but it physically affects me. I do love working there and not an option to quit. Some days the smell is worse than others. They do put the paper towels into a closed jug that has water in it, but one girl I work with must be throwing it in the trash can cuz Everytime she opens it and I'm near by I can smell it.
Hi Sharon that's awful. I couldn't risk my health like this. It's bad enough from regular EMA but MMA vapors is even worse. Hopefully, you can find another place that you love working at that cares about the health of their clients and employees. Thanks for watching.
I know this is older, but I got mia secrets monomer and I feel like I’m dying from the fumes lol I opened my windows and had a fan going but I feel so sick and light headed.
Hello sorry for the late reply. I have never used those neutralizing drops as I heard they really don't work I like the ways I described in the video. Thanks for watching.
This was so helpful!!! I’m new to doing nails and every time I try to practice my family yells at me bcs they can’t stand the smelll 😩

Hi Angela. No i don't have a FB for the channel thanks for watching.
Love the advice. What do you do in the winter when it's too cold to open a window?
I still open but not as wide and not as many. Perhaps in a different room. It just needs somewhere to escape. Thanks for watching.

I am glad it was helpful, Christi. Thanks for watching.
Thank you. Very very helpful. I just recently purchased an Air Purifier for the smell too.
But I do also use a fan in my window. ☺️
I light an incent , and it helps a great deal
I normally just put a fan in the window facing outwards to blow the smell out while doing my nails
Thank you so much for these videos, this is very informative! Can you do mia secrect review since it's one of the most affordable products out there.

You're welcome!
Great advice!!!
I'm glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Since a metal lidded garbage can will keep the smell contained would wrapping the used paper towels in foil contain it better than a plastic baggie?
It's possible but I have never tried it that way. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much!
I know this is older, but I got mia secrets monomer and I feel like I’m dying from the fumes lol I opened my windows and had a fan going but I feel so sick and light headed.
Hopefully, these tips will work for you. Thanks for watching.

Pls what are the neutralising liquid to reduce the smell of acrylic
Hello sorry for the late reply. I have never used those neutralizing drops as I heard they really don't work I like the ways I described in the video. Thanks for watching.
How do I get rid of the smell off my freshly done nail? The smell is really strong for the next few days after I do them
Hi, after doing nails I will scrub them with a nail brus and a good foamy soap. This will remove any dust particles and smell. Thanks for watching.
I thought mma is only in liquid and not in powders 🤔 other wise very informative !
MMA is in the powder as well, but it's only when in the the liquid that it is harmful. Thanks for watching.
Thanks!
Welcome!
Thank you 😄😄
Your welcome thanks for watching.
I’m confused the acrylic powder itself can be mma? I thought it was only the liquid
MMA is in the powder but it is only when it is in the liquid that is harmful. Thanks for watching.
