I know this video is 3 years old but it is so helpful! Just watching your technique through the entire application has made me realize a lot of my mistakes even unrelated to cuticle area! Perfect! And you should not be so self conscious! You are wonderful at explaining and honestly this is my favorite video I have ever watched on acrylic application! I started using acrylic when I was in middle school. I'm now a mom to 3 high school age children...just to give you an idea of my experience. I have never seen anything so quick and perfect! I also never leave comments but you deserve it! You are awesome!
OMG I could watch u do this all day!! It’s like perfect!! Also it’s so refreshing to see a tech being so careful, gentle and accurate with cuticle care!! U are a wonderful nail tech and teacher!!!
Just started doing acrylics a few days ago, I see myself improving fairly quickly but have been having lots of trouble with the cuticle area. This video was so helpful, thank you 💗
Nails techs swear they can’t do nails that close. I had one guy who was perfect but he stopped doing nails so now I have to tell techs...”do not give me a space!” This is perfect!!!!!!!!
@@devotchkac8365 I'm a nail tech student in Australia and it actually has nothing to do with wanting you to come in more. The moment your acrylic touches the cuticle, you will have lifting. We are taught that the ability to get that super flush look is something that comes with time and experience but until you have that experience it's best to work further away from the cuticle. This is my biggest downfall, that I don't listen to my teachers. I should be leaving a gap to ensure clean cuticle work and no lifting/ridges but the pressure gets to me that people want flush nails and I touch the cuticle because I'm just not experienced enough to get it right every time. I'm getting better with it but I have a long way to go. The techs you're seeing are probably just inexperienced.
This is better than I regularly see on UA-cam. Even on videos meant for cuticle applications. This is smooth and perfectly done! I don’t even do nails I just love to watch!
I love how close your camera is to show exactly how close to the cuticle a person should be. Thank you for this video by far the best one I have seen.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
So I did the math on how much I spent on my nails last year... and I used to be artsy and I thought starting next month I will do my own nails so I will keep y'all updated cause I am gonna learn from her videos
You taught me a lot! Thank you!!! I have a tendency of drilling back and forth and I see you drill in one direction… I’m going to try and do that instead . I need to work on keeping my brush clean. & keeping the clients hands down wards so the acrylic can flow down and not back! Thank you! I can’t wait till my nails improves!!!
I love the brush that you are using, I just started 1 year now, and I needed this , I'm very slow , when I do my prep work, and most of the time I always have lifting, most other videos I watch from other nails tech, they always, said to leave a small space between the cuticle and the nails, I recently saw a video of you rwork, and I watch it , and I can't stop, keep up the good work.
This is the best video I have seen so far to learn how to do acrylic nails. I started doing my own after years of going to a salon. They actually last longer and seem healthier. Your video is perfect. Thank you so much. My issue is the acrylic bead and how much to use. I feel like if it’s too big it sets up and I can’t drag it.
i remember my first set a week ago and how bumpy the acrylic and application was now it’s much more smoother and i see myself improving a lot (i came to nails because my older sister is a nail tech) and i decided to learn how
I LOVE HOW GOOD THAT CLOSE UP WAS..the moment I saw how nice she cleaning up the cuticle ....I subscribed 💓 I definitely love to see more and learn more.
Im going to have to try it this way. Cause i tend to start from the bottom and have a hard time cause i feel like i never have time to shape the acrylic cause it dries so fast
I love how you explain what your doing I just started doing nail only been doing gel because every time I order acrylic it never come but I will continue watching you I would love to win because I’m trying to be better
Why does this video only have 3K Should have way more she is magnificent in explaining this process I’ve searched and searched before this video in hopes to find something that I this explained ❤️❤️❤️
You are amazing 🤩. Thanks for your videos. I’ve been doing nails for 5 years as a full time job and over 20 years of experience and I love watching how you work. I still learn a lot from you.
Beautiful job! As a learning nail tech, I just need to know how do you know when to stop filing to seal the cuticle? When do you know when the cuticle is sealed?
I think one of my problems is not holding my nail down enough. I do my own nails at the moment until I feel confident to do others! And I’m always flooding my cuticle or it’s just not even and doesn’t look natural! This helped a lot thank you!💕
Ouuuu I can't believe I found the perfect video !! this is going to be my favorite UA-cam channel from now on ima keep watching you !! You explained everything so perfect , love your work
Thank you so much for this video and for letting us know what and where to get each product you use. It was sooo satisfying seeing you prep the cuticle area and applying the acrylic. Not to mention how you maneuver that efile and drill bits was amazing!! Definitely cuts the filing in half. Again thank you 😊
OMG you don't know how helpful this video was! I've been trying to perfect my cuticle application but it always comes out wrong. I'm so much more excited to practice now! Thank youuu!
I just found your channel. I am a beginner and am loving the detail and explanation you give about the cuticle area, an area I have problems with. Thank you!
You’re beyond talented💖 I wish I could find a nail bits like the ones you used for this video. This is absolute perfection🙏💖 Thanks so much for sharing😀
You are a true artist! Old school does it just like you. Unfortunately the new techs are doing it without working the dead skin around the cuticle and color your nail under the end of your nail that makes it look like it's time to come back to redo your nail. lol
💗💗 my first time watching and I’ve learned so much! Time for a binge watching session!!! Thanks for being so informative and explaining everything in detail!
I’m a beginner and I love the way you do nails. I can’t wait to try your way on my practice hand and mannequin hand. I’ve tried many other bits in the cuticle but never the tapered barrel.
What drill bit are you using to seal the cuticle? And what material is the smoothing bit? Carbide right? Cos my fine bit i use don’t seal or smooth acrylic too well
Needed this and been really annoyed and frustrated with that cuticles process 😱 I love your channel and ur so cool n personable ❤️ I really Appreciate you . Keep it up !! 👊
My weakness is the sidewalls. I'll put my acrylic down and it goes pretty well at the cuticle, but if their hands are ever so slightly tilted, the acrylic goes down into their sidewalls. I know that amounts to my acrylic being just a tad too wet, but I can't get it any dryer without it being too dry to move. I guess after almost 5 years of doing acrylic, I still can't get the liquid/powder ratio right. Sooo frustrating. I use a size 10 brush I think. Maybe that's too small to pick up larger beads of acrylic? Cause all i can get is smaller beads. But that doesn't really address the sidewall issue.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've watched COUNTLESS videos on how to properly apply acrylic and couldn't get it down until now that I see yours and completely understand! Thank you!!!!!!
Ur craft is amazing!!!!! U definitely help me understand better have to apply the bead and have a clean finish near the cuticles. Thank you beautiful !!!! 😊
Hey I love your videos. I'm just beginning to use acrylic. I've just been gel x full nails and designing. But I want to know the best brand of acrylic powder and brushes to use?
Is there a trick to getting the client to be able to place their hand so that you can get the nails to tilt down? Most of my clients hands are too stiff and doing acrylic on them is a nightmare. They dont give me the proper hand position to be able to tilt the nail downwards. I used to have a triangle wedge thingy that the client would out their hands/wrists on so it would give me better positioning, but I don't have it anymore. Maybe I should see if my clients chair goes up at all, would that help? I feel like a hopeless cause sometimes. Thanks for your video!
How are you able to keep your brush flat? And how does it stay perfectly wet without dripping? My brush is either too dry or dripping and it always fluffs up after a few uses.
Love how you teach .. just found you today. If I may ask what brush are you using I love it.. also love your tips regarding adding a clear on top for the nail bed ..
This video is by far the best simple video i have watched less complication and the outcome is so beautiful. Thank you so much i have found the best video to do my practical 💕🙌
Hi this is exactly what I have been looking for but can you show your powder acrylic ratio for your one bead method. For example how you dip your brush into the acrylic so we can see how it looks and you brush strokes while applying I hope this isn’t confusing. I am adapting to this technique. And it would be helpful to go slower thanks
