I removed a MONSTER thorny bush in a single day (OVER 1300LBS!)

- Have you ever seen anyone remove a 600kg bougainvillea? The homeowners on this job were a young couple expecting their first child. The property was soon to be tenanted, and the owners were concerned about the size of the bush and wanted it removed to open up the backyard to more light and allow for easier maintenance moving forward. There were actually shocked and impressed that I managed to do it in less than an 8-hour day, with 3 trips to the landfill (approx 12m3 of green waste). This could possibly be the BIGGEST bush on youtube!!!

FAQ's:
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so now I work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Currently, I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k on a good ride on mower.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on in there.
4. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering we always take the green waste away.
5. I will get one as soon as all of the above are solved.
That bush was massive! You did a fantastic job clearing that out! ❤
That was a big job!! I thought the owner would ask you to trim back those other bushes! Thank you 🌹
At the grand old age of 71, I just bought my very first weedwhacker ... an attachment capable one for which I purchased the string trimmer and a hedge trimmer. After seeing this video, now I'm starting to think about the little chainsaw attachment! No, I don't have any humongous bushes to tackle in my yard. But you never know. Would make severing high tree limbs easy. [Yeah ... and next I'll want an edger, a brush cutter, on and on. Who knows where this will end??] Thanks for another wonderful video!
hahaha, nice. Just get one of everything, you never know when you may need them 🙂😉
That’s a BIG bush ! 😳💪👷👏🏼 Great job George!
Working alone or in pairs you are an inspiration.
Something beautiful destroyed because it was not maintained and here I am pampering my baugainvillea just to grow quicker.
hahaha, that's the way the cookie crumbles 🤷♂️
We prune ours back HARD every second year. It’s magnificent-covers our fence line
That bush is a monster, had one and removed with much pain and punctures. 👍👍
👍 That was a monster of a bush! WOW! Used to have one at an apartment I lived at. Went up to the 2nd story roof! Once we got all the foliage off, we dug around it, deep, wrapped a chain around it and pulled it out with a 4x4 Chevy truck. They are deep rooted buggers! Great job Mr. George! As always! 💪👏
Arizona has lots of bouganvilla plants. I have never seen one that big before (that's what she said) ! 😄 watching you slice it up like a cake was fascinating.
QC!!! You’re a magician! Just the sight of that Bougainville gave me anxiety lol. I can’t believe you just tore that bad boy up like that!
hahaha, cheers 👍
That's incredible! Great job!
Fascinating to watch! You’re so precise and organized in the task at hand whatever it is! Great video! Thanks
That is a great job all those Thorns I don't know if I could have did that great job
Better than ever that bougainvillea was eternal.😊
I love how you cut the trunks of small trees and large bushes at ground level. Many lawn care ppl cut them at about 4 inches and leave them that way, which in some places was a tripping hazard or worse.
What a great result after a hard job and certainly some contact with these thorns, George!! Greetings from Germany and thanks for this video! 👍🌞🍀😎
Terrible bushes, but you did a great job as usual George ❤
Impeccable, as always.
That was a monster 😂. That garden must have looked huge without it. Fab work as always George. From a sunny uk.
Hi George! 🙋🏼♀️ It's just as good without the music! 😉 I love that you've added the Golden Rule at the end.
Great job in clearing out that Borgenvilla bush. Great cleanup, not just for the other bushes to be trimmed out. God bless you and yours from Yuma Arizona, USA.
Reminded of the tale of George and the Dragon as you parted the top of that shrub. Off with his head !!!
I had a bougainvillea and the thorns are the worst ever! I couldn't wait to remove it! It went up the side of my garage and was destroying my roof. I was also afraid the thorns would poke my children and dogs eyes out. My hats off to you for tackling that beast! Great job!
yes, they can be destructive when planted in the wrong spot 👍🙂
I saw you finish this yard 2 weeks ago............
Yep, that's right, on my other channel with music. Didn't you listen to the intro or read the description?
Catching up on older videos. Great work George 🎉
Great job. ❤👍🏽
I am amazed at how you work George. It seems that all your projects is just a piece of cake for you. And literally, in this case, you looked like slicing that overgrown bougainvila like a piece of cake - a huge cake with flowers as icing. Congratulation George for another work well done.
Great work! Will you start doing new videos?
There will be a new video this week. Nothing massive, but it will be new content. I'm currently in the process of buying new tools and getting everything ready 🙂
Thanks for sharing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Huge bush! Fascinating watching you removing it cube by cube! Great work! 🌳
Good video George. gigantic bush.
How many years of growth was that ?!! Absolutely out of control and you've worked wonders again !! Well done 👍👍👍
cheers. I'm not sure to tell you the truth, but quite a few, I would assume 👍🙂
I once got stuck in a boganvillia while cutting it back. It tore a piece off me. Ouch. They grow well here in Queesland. You did a great job George. I took notice of how you tackled the job so I might learn how not to get hurt again
He’s so thorough on his work!!
I would have placed a half stick of dynamite on the base of the shrub.😊
Wow ! That was a lot of hard work !
Amazing job !!!🥇🥇🥇
Kdyby jsi v\řezal uprostřed keře otvor, byla by další garáž😂.Muselo tě Georgi stát hodně sil a osm hodin než jsi toho obra rozřezal a odvozil. Je to možná nedoceněná práce, ale věřím, dostaneš mnoho like a odběrů. Jsi vynikající zahradník !!! Děkuji moc a těším se na příští You Tube !!!💯👍👍🌿
wow, what a monster bush! love your videos, watching from Germany 😍
Hi George! I really enjoyed watching, even without music. Loved the golden rule as well. Thank you for posting!🤗
Hey Barbara, do you watch both channels?
@@QCV2 I watched this with my father, he prefers no music. And he's still happy that you manage "his" garden 🙃
@@-Barbara. 🥰i hope that all is going well 🤗
@@QCV2 well.. it's going... Thank you very nice from you 🥰

Wow what a backbreaking job that was I tip my hat to you job well done 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great job! Was pretty but so overgrown. Nice sunny spot for a vegetable garden now. 😊❤️🙏✝️
Great job but other bushes needed a trim.
Wow! Beautiful job!
Ong! Tin3 for a spa day after removing that massive bush! Really enjoy your videos! You do a fantastic job
Bougainvillea can be nice as a hedge, but it needs a strong hand to keep it in line.
They are everywhere around the Med. Pretty but lethal. Such a nice colour though.
Wow that was totally out of control! But I get why they didn't want to touch it.
What a difference removing one bush makes lovely work💪🏅
Wow! That must have been a nightmare!!
How did you keep from being injured by all the thorns?
I love that the trash can, can do a disappearing act🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing 🤗🤗
hahaha, well, i didn't really. Ended up with plenty of scrapes and scratches 🙂
Bougainvillea is so pretty. I am sorry it is such a hassle to grow and maintain.
SO much yard not being used! Too much! Good job trimming everything!
Great to watch you doing good work ❤
Espetáculo de homem. Que Deus abençoe muito a sua vida 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Oh my dear sweet George. That was a big undertaking. I removed the same and as careful as I was I was stabbed several times. Those thorns are lethal. Always enjoy your videos. This one is no exception. 😊
Ahh yes, the thorny monster! I have 3 of them and they are MEAN!, but very pretty, just have to be willing to risk life and limb trimming them 😂... you have similar plants to what we have here in FL, US. I get lots of little tricks and tips watching your videos, keep up the great things you do 😊
Thanks again!
It’s a bougainvillea.
Fantastic job 👏 👍 👌
Your a good worker I love watching your videos thank you for sharing them ❤️✌🏼
I remember that monster!
Awesome job!
Congratulations!😊
Amazing transformation ❤

Will ok now this was a tree. Thank you for this God bless you 🙏❤️
Incredible job!
How do you protect your hands and arms from thorns on rose bushes and huge thorny bushes like that? Do you have a special kind of gloves?
WOOOW ABSOLUTELY AWESOME GREAT JOB ❤😎🤙💪💪
I have never seen a bougainvillea that large! It looked like you were cutting into a big cake😮
I can't imagine what your arms looked like after this, i bet you had some major cuts, ouch!
Wow!!!!!
Bougainvilleas need to be managed correctly. Their colours brighten up the location. I know I grew them in Africa.
Minden elismerésem!👌👏👏🇭🇺
Such a shame to have to cut it down, the problem I find is people plan out their yards poorly by planting plants too close to the fence which then goes into the neighbour's yard, see this all the time.
Love thy neighbour as thyself Vayikra 19:18❤
I’m sorry I thought you were quitting this business. Than all of a sudden I see you are back on the channel. What is going on? Curious.
And I have seen this video before. I have always watched all of your videos before.
Hi Shirley, I've changed my mind and decided to continue with gardening and youtube 🙂
Почему стало такое плохое качество сьемки?картинка не четкая,смотреть трудно,уже и не хочется.Примите меры.
People can be deaf, need captions
There should be auto-captions, you need to turn them on at your end!?
❤❤❤❤❤❤
How do I become a member?
Me doeu ver cortar a bougainvillea florida...devia cortar somente o lado sem flores ! Por isso nao vai ganhar um "gostei"
Getting ready for some power washing?!!

Nice….

You are not going to believe this. I am the person that wanted the name of your rake. I erased the email by mistake. You must think I am wired. Well maybe alittle. That was supposed to be a joke.
hahaha, all good. If you send an email, they go to my advertisement management team and I don't usually get them...Did you get the name of the rake?
@@QCV2 I meant on utube. Sorry. You told me the name of the blue and orange rake. But I erased it my accident.
