Tenkara fishing at the Purdy Spit (Henderson Bay) Gig Harbor, WA. PT1

My first time over at the purdy spit. I live close by, and see people fly fishing every day in this spot.
I recently got my first Tenkara rod, so I thought this would be a fun place to try it out at.
I saw some cool tiny flounders swimming by my feet, lots of live oysters, clams, and starfish.
I even found a GIANT moon snail laying eggs in the sand, and had an opportunity to take a good look at it.
Extremely cool place to go fishing, and practice fly fishing with a lot of room around you.

Have you ate at that Taco truck just right of the main road before you get onto the bridge, next to the fried seafood joint? delicious!

yeah they are good! I recommend the thai food place that is in the same shopping area. Only place around that will do it spicy enough. If you ask for 5 stars....... it's 5 stars sweaty style.
