  • This is my procedure for a partial body lift for those of us with the need to work on the 6.4L who don't have the ability to completely lift the cab. Any work on the turbos, HP injector pump or even if an engine removal is necessary is made infinitely easier with at least a partial lift of the cab. Use this procedure completely at your own risk! It goes without say that you take as many precautions as you can when attempting this...and then take some MORE.

    Man great videos!
I just had a partial cab lift done on my 6.7 and now the ac is acting up. Cycling to much and the refrigerant is very loud in the lines now and sometimes whistles internally in the lines. Very strange. I feel like the dealership damaged my lines bt stretching them they said they didn’t have to vacuum down ac system that it had enough slack. What are your thoughts on what they coulda damaged? It’s a 2016. Your personality is great. We would get along well in the shop. Keep up the good work friend. I was having my upper oil pan changed from a 2016 with the silicone to a 2011 with the o ring style pan gasket. My pan oil leaks have been chronic so I was happy to find a 2011 pan. But the partial body lift definitely hurt my ac somehow.

If the dealer refuses to fix it I DEFINITELY would never use them again and tell all my friends the same. I'm surprised the dealer would do a partial lift seeing as removing the master cyl, disconnecting the AC system and ground strap is basically all that's left to lift the cab. Regardless, if it's cycling "too much" it's usually an indication of low refrigerant, but HOOK UP GAUGES and see. they're like $59 at harbor freight. Another thing would be to get a black light or a "sniffer" and check for refrigerant leaks. I would do SOMETHING before it gets worse.
