Back in the good ol days I could walk into the local store and have the pick of any expression of Fortaleza. Still strength and Repo go great together. Maybe someday we will be able to get Fort again in Texas.
After starting to explore tequilas, I came to same conclusion that you have- that the blancos, and particularly still-strength, are the most pure expressions of the distillers art. I've had a lot of them that I've liked, Fortaleza, G4, Cascahuin, and I'm currently drinking (and enjoying) Codigo.
Great review! Amateur tip here: A great bang for the buck: Arette Fuerte Artesanal 101 proof blanco. Phenomenal value. Picked up a bottle for $34.99 at my local liquor store
I just got lucky and found a bottle of still strength Forteleza at one of the local liquor stores in my area in southern NJ. He had 3 left and I bought them all :)
Two honorable mentions would be Ocho's Puntas and surprisingly Pasote's Still Strength. Both are a little on the sweeter side, but really remarkable for my tastes.
Def adding to my list. Like my bourbon in 50's so look forward to some still strength. Brah was gettin a little fadded at the end. Hell prob staff too with those 2oz pours! Salute!
@@Lui_Fernid have to imagine the 80 proof drinks really light the still strength drinks more like a 90 proof than 107 but bright future ahead for that brand imo. Great picks btw!
Great video thank you for the info love it.... Now if I can find Fortaleza and I am in the same market as you New England area. Been to your Restaurant phenomenal great food. and ideas on where I can get it??? Thank you
I used to think that Still Strength was primarily a Bourbon thing, but I have seen some still strength Tequilas at liquor stores which is pretty cool. I’m a big fan of Fortaleza as well, I only wish that it wasn’t so difficult to find. I would imagine the still strength is even harder to find than just about anything else they produce.
Have you ever tried Tapatio Blanco 110? I was surprised how good it tasted with cooked agave flavor and didn’t feel like i was tasting 110 proof tequila
For me Fortaleza SS is barely a SS at 92 proof. It is better than most standard Fortaleza blancos but I just dont think it holds up to Tapatio, Pasote, Luchador and G4 108.
I don't mind all the Fortaleza talk, but it's just not available to common folk. Be nice if you spent more time on things actually available to normal people.
Hazmat bourbon drinkers are laughing their asses off at these still strength tequilas 😂😂😂 also, Suerte still strength I heard is really good. Haven’t tried it yet but want to

Don Fulano Fuerte and Carrera Still Strength are great. I have both bottles open, and they are fantastic!
Glad to see this video as I eye Tapatio 110 every time I go to the liquor store.
Thank you for making this video, Lui. Salud!🥃
My pleasure! Happy you enjoyed it
I just picked up the Siempre Vivo yesterday! So. Damn. Good
Thanks!

You lucky bastard I'm so jealous, I been keeping my eyes open in southeast PA for years and haven't seen anything
Hope you can tell if those fortaleza bottles are legit
@@marceloamador92024 are you saying that there are “Fakes” being distributed?

Chamucos Diablo and Arette Fuerte Artesenal 101 are hitting the spot for me right now

Still strength is the hottest segment in craft tequila right now. El gran legado is my pick for favorite
I have a bottle of their regular Blanco! Haven't tried the still strength yet

Gran dovejo high proof is my favorite right now since its the cheapest but very flavorful. 😋

Someday... Wild Common's still strength will make this list. It is superb.
I have yet to see it in MA! Hopefully soon.
@@Lui_Fern someday I will bring a bottle!

My favorite is the Wild Common Still Strength. And I love that Volans Still Strength. I like those two better than the Cazcanes and Fortaleza SS
have you tried lagrimas i like your choices too
Have you ever tried Tapatio Blanco 110? I was surprised how good it tasted with cooked agave flavor and didn’t feel like i was tasting 110 proof tequila
Have you tried El Luchador’s 110 proof? It’s pretty good and a bonus is it’s organic.
Honorable mention : Tapatio 110 is the best for cocktails abit on the sweet side
Wild Common also.
Are there any plans to make still strength reposado?
I got lucky and found a bottle of fortaleza still strengh because of a ad on instagram
Fortaleza still strength was not good for me. It may have been a bad batch. The regular blanco is always winner for my taste.
What about Tapatio 110 or El Luchador 110 ?? Much easier to find !!
For me Fortaleza SS is barely a SS at 92 proof. It is better than most standard Fortaleza blancos but I just dont think it holds up to Tapatio, Pasote, Luchador and G4 108.
Wild Common Still Strength?
Have yet to try it. Can't find it here in MA for some reason

It’s easy to find
@@Avocado223sit’s not “easy” to find but it’s not as hard as people make it sound. I can find a bottle atleast once a week between my 3 local shops.
You can buy it online
@@TempestS0yeah for insane mark ups that are totally not worth it
@@PeenTip you can find them for MSRP online besides the winter blends.
Still Strength 💪❤️✌️😎
T8 Puntas beats all of those imo
I'm in Ohio how in the hell do I get ahold of these tequilas
Probably in major cities to be honest
Buy it online

Everyone hyped up Fortaleza too much. No no one can enjoy it
