That trailer isn’t just bad
It’s brand damaging

As usual with Eric, it's difficult to let certain things (that I would otherwise let) slide because there's so much wrong with what he puts out.
It's not just the poor acting. It's not just the amateur look with *awful* angles.
It's the bad dialogue. It's the lack of a coherent narrative. Everything is too vague (and not in a good way that creates intrigue). Etc. Etc.
I was left with *way too many* huhs and whys.

I thought he wanted to be different from marvel, and DC, but he does a fucking sky beam?? yeah I've never seen that before..... Also, he should have added more chaos in the city, like show some toppled over cars maybe, and theres like 4 ppl there, same with the press conference, and Yaira came off as a bitch, in the first book (almost put me to sleep btw) all she does is fight isom for a bit, and throw a energy blast in a cops face..... why should i care about this character Eric?

Everybody points out the self-insert Soska sister but no one is talking about how awful the sister's performance is. Awkwardly running into frame, turning for no reason, and screeching a line of dialog that no one would ever say in the real situation. I would expect that kind of performance from an extra, not someone who is supposedly known for making indie films.

I was expecting it to be corny but not this bad TBH. It's maybe the worst trailer I've ever seen. I've watched a lot of Hallmark movies with my wife over the years and this is the worst acting I've ever seen.

When Eric launched the Rippaverse he said he wanted people to call him out when he does anything bad but his friends in the fellowship are just ignoring this and he's not even taking valid criticism. I'm slavic, we don't sound like that. Yaira / Sally Rodell is not a slavic name, so there's no reason for the accent. The dialogue is pretty bad. Some of the shots and cinematography are laughable in a bad way. The fellowship complain about stuff like this all the time but now that it's one of them doing it they laugh it off jokingly.

I just don’t understand why he made this? Who is this for? His fans were already going to buy his book and I doubt this will convince anyone else.
The animated trailers were better and this is kinda cringe. It feels like he would like to make a movie or a tv show more than he would like to make a comic. I mean there’s no panels or art in this I could think this is an Indie film or something. Then, there’s the vagueness again, who is she, what is she, what does she want, and why do we care?
Yeah, I think he did it hoping to grab the attention from Hollywood or screenwriters etc.....wishful thinking at best lol

I never understood the hype with Yaira, she just appeared and punched some dude and all rippatards went “Wwowwww i love her”. But this trailer was unbelievable bad😂😂😂 only good thing was the music at the end
And all the Friday Night Zeros shilling hard with the shirts and hats on their streams and videos. None of them even read the book, and Gary and Fat Az are supposed to be bug comic book guys. They're fake.
in my humble opinion the only two good actors in there are the black girl and the dude with the wig, the rest are just simply lacking.... everything.

The person Yiara punched the conference speech could’ve been better if we knew what was happening and if that character was a villain maybe getting powers or that beam of light was a signal to kick of the Kree attack I mean the hell monkey demons attack

I respect the ambition but sadly the trailer is just bad, I had to skip through it. Nothing about it would make me want to get the book if I hadn't already placed my order, actually, it would probably have put me off buying it.
Such an odd decision to make it in the first place, it feels a little like over excited "wouldn't it be cool if" thinking, rather than the cooler head of "should we"

What is worse than the garbage trailer is all Eric's "friends" in the comic space refise to be honest and say it's garbage. If this was another film studio, they would be destroying it to high heaven. Hypocrites!
