Just to cover all bases. Goal was to watch first Halo Wars movie since that is chronologically the first part of the story from what we've been told. Then the video we watched had Halo Wars 2 in it, and also had it first for some reason.
This is not the Master Chief. Chief has number 117 on his chest, not 092.
Spartan-092 is Jerome Cable
The final cutscene there was part of the 'Awakening the Nightmare' DLC where the Banished unleash the Flood on the Ark. The entire DLC is you playing as the Banished against the Flood. Give it a watch if you can.

Actually all Spartans had the title demon bc how deadly they were and how u nvr saw there faces, John was not solely the reason they were called demons, he just know as the demon bc of the events of halo CE

In the books Atriox does allow humans into the Banished despite the hatred and disapproval of others. He is surprisingly open minded despite being the villain.
Atriox just man handling 3 spartans alone while his men just watch from the shadows gives me chills everytime.

Hes somehow the best villain since the og covenant the franchise introduced and he's not even personally involved that much. He comes in and wrecks people to display dominance then let's his bros do the rest to show a scale of how screwed you are.

The "nothing but a man" line gives me goosebumps to this day because the Covenant made Spartans out to be this indestructible race of undead soldiers, but Atriox gives up the misnomer in this single line, making them seem super mortal.
Think of it this way chronologically too.
Spartan red team is still in their 20s in Halo Wars 2.
Master Chief is in his 50s.
Imagine them reuniting.
There's a dialogue in the game too where Jerome remarks, "John's alive? Good to hear he made it."
Atriox is honestly really hard to hate, especially compared to the other villains in Halo. He's competent, inspires loyalty, fierce, and got a surprisingly less evil goal than the Covenant.
A relatable villain is always more powerful and interesting 😁
In the books he actually even allows humans into the banished.
Not only 3 Spartans he defeated but it was 3 Spartan II that grew up and trained alongside the Master Chief, so some of the best

Not to mention they also fought, survived and took out a amassive flood infestation on a halo instillation.
Kind of a shame what happened with the order of the cutscenes. However I think it'll be rather interesting watching you watch the 1st Halo Wars cinematics after watching the 2nd, it'll be like your watching a prequel. :)

That spartan fighting the elites wasn’t MasterChief it was Jerome092 a fellow spartan2 like chief and Jerome was considered to be among the 4 best spartan2s alongside MasterChief,Kurt and finally Fredric all spartan2s the best of the best.

Master Chief and noble six are the only 2 Spartans to be labeled hyper lethal also, which translates to don't fuck with them and you'll live, also they both have more confirmed kills than anybody else i believe
The main Spartan in this series of games is not the Master Chief (aka Sierra 117). In the Halo Wars series it is Jerome (Sierra 092)

"Angry Atriox." Well yeah, I mean it's not really made evident in the cutscenes but that was his only ship in the area. With no powerful communication devices and no ship he's been effectively stranded on the Ark. Who wouldn't be at the very least angry about that happening to them?

Just a lore info update, Spartan Jerome, due to his actions in this Halo Wars and the previous one, was actually promoted after the events of Halo Wars 2 to Commander. Basically he is Captain Cutter's official second in command.
Coming back from cryosleep after 28 years has to be rough. I'm surprised they're combat ready considering their old lives with the people they love is either over or very much different

Considering this is a crew from the Harvest campaign, its likely that old age isn't what killed their families and loved ones. The Covenant glassed every single world they could find and were very thorough. Only a few colonies are known to have survived the war and they were relatively small. Human casualties are listed in the tens of billions. The Outer Colonies were practically annihilated with only a few remote ones remaining, and nearly every Inner Colony we know about was glassed except for a handful. And Earth itself saw billions die during the Battle of Earth, and I don't think that is including Africa being glassed to eradicate the Flood.
If you pay close attention to the intro, you can almost hear what sounds like Serena breaking down during the last words she says to Captain Keyes. She sounds like she barely holds back a sob, just barely holding her façade of professionalism together. I thought it was a really powerful detail.

Spartan Jerome (the spartan with the red stripe) is a total badass in the same right as Master Chief. It's bittersweet watching this because it's a reminder of what Paramount's 'Halo' should have been.
Focusing on more positive things, i wonder if a reaction to Halo: Legends would be possible, but i am unsure of the copyright around it.

To put this in perspective, even more, these three Spartan specifically are the best of the best rivaling master chief himself, they failed their Spartan augmentation the first time which left them crippled, but they were so dedicated, even though they were kidnapped his children that they went through the augmentation a second time, and it took, these are the most dedicated Spartans to ever exist, other than master chief, aside from Noble six who sacrificed himself for the master chief

The banished the enemy of this game is actually one of the main enemy’s of the recent release halo infinite and halo 5. Also the giant machines at the end are basically what turned cortana evil

You guys would have been a LOT less confused and more informed had you gone in order, and I don’t just mean Halo wars 1-2. Halo wars 2 directly comes after Halo 5 and before Halo infinite and is important to those stories. You just finished Halo 2 right? You had a long way to go before this for it to make sense. Had you done that you would have been like “oh shit!” At the end when captain Anderson popped out with the ring and there was that huge mysterious thing. You would have know who that was.
Yeah we had wanted Halo Wars 1 only because that was supposedly the start before Reach. Didn’t realize Halo Wars 2 came after 5, but at the same time, we didn’t mean to watch it in the first place 😂🤗 It’s okay though, we are used to being confused
So the cutscenes do a fantastic job at story telling...
However theres a few things you missed.
That's not the master chief, John was a spartan 2 with the rank of petty officer and the number of 117, that's spartan Jerome 092 of red team.
Most spartan 2s have the Mjolnir armour systems which vary in generation.
All you need to know is spartan 2s and 3s are far better than spartan 4s.
They are babies.
So the spirit of fire is OLD as fuck, like in halo wars 1 she was redundant... which is why I love captain cutters line.

Quality over quantity.
The scene where it's the spirit of fire vs a banished enhanced assault carrier and banshees...
All the spirit of fire had was older modelled point defence cannons and those were being taken out rapidly as UNSC ships have NO SHIELDS.
humanity lacks that technology but the covenant sure as shit have it.
So, how does the UNSC combat this?
The spirit was old so she was designed to be a missile destroyer but unfortunately that doesn't work when alone as it needs support from the heavier UNSC ships.
But my all time favourite ship type has just the weapon, a MAC gun.
Imagine a railgun, then make one gigantic and build the ship around it... yeah covy shields would break under fire from those beauties and most ships were retrofitted with these MAC guns, the spirit was never retrofitted with one as it couldn't house one.
So cutter needs to do something, brain over braun.
Outwit your opponent and THATS why cutter is a great captain.

Master chief is blue team this is spartan red team. While these events where happening master chief was in the events of halo 5. Remember this is halo war 2 the red team have been sleep for 29 years before that the events of halo wars took place which takes place before halo reach and halo 1

Hey, I suggest reacting to the musical action-packed game named "No Straight Roads"! Playing as a Indie rock duo, Mayday and Zuke, doing a rock revolution against the oppressive NSR's rule with their EDM, it's seriously cool, it might be a bit short, but the main appeal are going to be the bosses, and most importantly the music, Rock and EDM (multiple genres of EDM, like Artcore!), it's amazing!

I will say halo wars 1 got me very skeptical but I’m glad I was proven wrong had very with the game and story was good felt
However halo wars 2 was great it came out right when halo needed help at time halo wasn’t doing good the master chief collection was buggy and not working properly like it is today and halo 5 yeah that’s a whole another story.
Well anyway when halo wars 2 came out man it felt halo just got pulled out of a darkness and light just shine right on
Cutter and his crew is great I do like how he knows that he is unmanned and outgunned but he also knows that we got make a stand and hold them off he is a very good leader (which he even does during the events of halo infinite quite well I must say)
Atriox is great villain his presence is very intimidating but his army is also is interesting you got the colony,yapyap the destroyer (yes he is a grunt haha) silent shadow and vorduis and pavium in his army they are very different from the covenant apparently there a rumor in the halo world that his army may have humans on his side which is awesome
I do hope I see you guys react to awaken the nightmares cutscenes but I think you guys should play halo 3 to see what happens there’s it’s set on same place as halo wars 2 so you get the idea I enjoy your reaction awesome

5:37. Lol all military transmissions are encrypted, they're military for Pete's sake XD. They were just talking about how the encryption probably advanced during the 28 years they were in cryosleep, so they wouldn't be aware of how to recieve it. It's like the equivalent to how the F-22 Raptor needs a translator just to talk to other more modern planes due to it having permanently unupgradable radar software compared to the F-35. It has had biplanes fly nearby before just to be the translator because it was built during the collapse of the soviet union.
The ship they're on lore wise has been MIA presumed KIA for the whole 28 years to the outside world after all. I just feel sorry for their families back home..

I dont know why you watched this now. This game takes place after Halo 5 so you're not really even remotely close to the point in the story where Halo Wars 2 takes place. You're just confusing yourselves right now with this.
