The Sigma contemporary lenses are great with the S9. I’ve got the 24mm f3.5, 45mm f2.8 and the 90mm f2.8. It all fits into a small bag and is so light.
same, but on a7cii, it s insanely compact
The S5ii + S9 duo, is what I'm doing. I have one, just need the other now lol. A-cam and B-cam, that's it !
I am back here to say, I have completed the duo ! S5ii + S9 lol. Suuuuuuuper close to getting the 45mm, in the meantime I've just been using the 50mm.
As an enthusiast I just hope they gonna make like S7 with mechanical shutter and maybe rangefinder EVF. I don't need S5II level camera but panning phots of taxis in Tokyo and scooters in Italy are among my favourite vacation memories.
This 100%
I agree. I think the i-series are an excellent match for the size of this camera and I love the vintage inspired aesthetic. Plenty of great focal lengths to choose from to fit your needs.
The S9 was the camera I have been waiting for ten years now. Tomorrow I am going to a local camera store to have it in my hands before buying. I am planning to buy the S9 with two lenses: this 45mm and the 17mm to start with. Sigma made its fantastic i series lenses and now Panasonic made a decent camera for them. I wear glasses so an EVF is not a must to me. I prefer two hinged screens like the S1H or GH7 have, but I hope I can live with this left protruding screen that makes this sleek camera twice as big.
I bought this lens used as soon as I heard about the S9. Can't wait to pair it finally
If you get a chance try the 90mm. Almost as compact and excellent image quality. I have the 45 and 65 and considering picking up the 90 again after selling it a while ago.
Just got mine yesterday, can’t wait for the S9 to ship.
I have the 65mm f2 from the same series which I use on the Sigma fp and Lumix S1R. I mostly shoot portraits and love the lens.
I’ve never thought about the 65mm for portraits. I’ll have to check it out
Bro THIS is what I’m saying! I love this lens for this camera. Put the lens hood on reverse and it just looks dope as hell too lol
Such a fun little lens!
Lovely! I so wish I'd kept my copy of this lens
Let’s go for a shoot when you’re back from the land of puffins! I might share it 😆
@@ScottEdwards haha yes that would be fun!
i have it. It’s always surprise me with the image look. The 20mm f2 it’s very good to
can't wait for my s9!
If I might start investing in L-mount, this would be the first lens I‘d buy.
The Lumix S9 is an amazing street and lifestyle camera. It's even more reason Lumix needs to push for further lens development. Light, compact form setups. Less bulk and chunk than the s5m2 with same features
Hmmmm..... I have one when I got the Sigma fp kit: Camera, 45, and Ninja V. It is my favorite lens for the Sigma. I agree that is a satisfying to use.
If you like this setup, check out Leica M-mount glass. Stick a Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8 on the S9 and it's almost pocketable! Those lenses are made for this form factor, Leica bodies are pretty much this size. Only problem is that I wouldn't want to manual focus on a screen under Spanish sun, I can barely even handle it with a viewfinder because it gets so blinding. In the UK, different story. I'm waiting for the S9 II with the EVF that's surely coming after all this backlash Lumix got for this beta version. Also a good fit: Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM. I just got that one and have been using it on my S5 II. What a stunningly sharp lens even wide open!
I have the same setup. The photos come out looking amazing.
Man this camera would be perfect if it had a mechanical shutter. I don't understand why lumix are abandoning photographers.
I was wondering how long it would take people to start using the S9 with the compact sigma primes. Everyone was saying that the L mount lenses were too big for the S9, and I just kept thinking, why is no one pairing the S9 with the little Sigma primes?
I keep forgetting the S9 is full frame. But yeah that looks like a good combo.
The 45 is a great lens.
Got a link to that camera strap? Looking for a quality one like that!
iy would also be nice to add an opt finder on the S9 for the 45 or 50mm sigma, do you have any idea where to find such a finder ?
Don't forget to take the lenscap off!
great video, thanks.
Great suggestion but wrong link to E mount one.
Ahh thanks well spotted! Sorted 😊
Good to see Jon Richardson doing camera reviews...
Do you have any more of the contemporary lenses to put on the body? Im looking at the 35mm f2 as well.
I only have this one
for that price why not de sigma 35 mm ? it is away better in all points
La S9 sarà una fotocamera da "street" perfetta, quando uscirà il 18-40mm
I wonder how to put flash on it?
Your link is incorrect to the 45mm
Thanks, updated 👍
Need something wider thsn that
Really, any of those sigma lenses work. The 35 and 50 f2 might be better, though.
Not wide enough
@@DreamReleases 35 is wider. 🤷♂️
erm.....pardon? You don't use a viewfinder.....??? Yet you say you're a photographer.....?
What does using a viewfinder add over using the screen? 🤷♂️
The viewfinder is just a smaller screen…
