I myself play Anno 1800 at 1x speed and let the developments occur naturally. It is a true experience in my belief.
You can hear the wind howling in a gusty gale, but the snow is still falling straight down. It's kicking the shit out of my immersion. Like in Banished, after everybody died, but they still play chattering town ambience around the buildings. Children laughing, dogs barking. So creepy.
Nice I don't think I've ever heard any streamer shout out Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom... Played that game for hours and hours so good I still have a Microsoft Excel sheet with a perfect city layout
Looking forward to finally seeing Raptor getting to 1000 population and over. Was next to impossible before. Now they finally adressed balance issue on hard difficulty. Grow rate at high population was too small before to beat extra deaths associated with hard setting.

Lol just turned on my PC looks like I know what i am playing for the next few weeks. Love this game I was waiting for them to drop the population limit my cities would feel like they were finally flourishing and then boom no more growth to utilize the resources

When you have to build a graveyard I wish it would also tell you how many graves it will hold when deciding on the size of it. 🤷

Such a fun game! I subscribe back when he first streamed and the updates are good additions but Raptor should be an expert in this game by now. the first few times he played at 1x speed which is slow af but its understandable especially bc he didnt want to miss anything...but hundred+ hrs of gameplay later why still ignoring the speed...not like its a mod people added. its part of the game . I dont even notice until he stops talking and its just silence...then im like speed it up a little.
Not constantly on 3x but if u keep repeating that your waiting for this or that to finish building or collecting. just tap the gas a little no harm no foul...its like lets stretch this to 3hrs for no reason

Looked good til I saw the insane management of crops. That seems like work, not fun. There’s such a thing as too much micro-management.
Crop management isn't so bad once you get your fields in order. The first few years of crop building and soil preparation are the worst, then you settle into a normal cycle that is pretty easy.
Typically you need a couple years to remove rocks and weeds, then cycle peas -> clover -> turnips until your soil fertility is above 80%. After that you can rotate in flax and wheat every 3 year on each field if you have 3 large fields. This will easily support a population over 200 if your field size is 10 x 10.
Just add more fields after that if needed. Once you get glassware you can start creating preserves and your food lasts almost forever.
It just seems like a ton of work early on.

Hm interesting city builder but man the flattening is a big showstopper to me it really kills all immerge. Flattening the same spot ten times … and still not enough to build on it, where is the fun ?
