I have started and restarted a seascape as we live 500 yards from a huge mega rocky groin which is spectacular in the winds and storms, so I have to get it together to paint it. Magic to watch and after watching it twice I have finished it as a tester. Darrell is way beyond Bob Ross - I would be quite offended. lol.

@ProductionsProduce I'm painting on a regular econo 18"24" canvas. I almost always paint on canvas (double-primed). The 'special' effect is probably the lights we have shinning on the wet black surface.......as for fatherhood......I'll have to refer you back to your mother, but thank you so much for such a warm, warm thought. Keep painting.

The colors I primarily used here is Titanium White and Prussian Blue. and medium. This lesson is shown here in oils, and there's another lesson on this channel that shows the same lesson using acrylics. I do not use water colors.

@brentmcmillen I do not use liquid black. I generally find its better to use black gesso and then come back with regular oil painting medium after the canvas has dried.
