Paint what you know. I painted horse for years and can finally paint them quite well. Tim is a very good instructor. Listen and be patient with yourself. Your skill will develop like magic over time.
I was like "No, don't ruin the pretty cloud with that ugly dark grey!" but he didn't, grey was the thing that turned the painting from pretty to gorgeous! Thank you so much
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Praise God! And the fact that you use a simple disposable plate for your pallet says a lot! Peace and Love to you and everyone here!
Bravo! So beautiful, so authentic looking! Thank you for sharing your skill and talent! Look at the number of people you've helped and inspired! Again, Bravo and Thank You!
A great artist deserves a great audience, and if that great artist brings a smile to that great audience, then much was accomplished. Praise the Lord for thy gifts. :)
What a wonderful gift. I am an accomplished pianist. But I would exchanged your gift for one day of painting with such expression that you have. Thank-you.
Wonderful painting. I love your channel and that you give people like me, who are just starting out, the opportunity to learn and get better! Thank you
Thanks for the comments everyone. I notice a lot of comments asking about what I'm spraying. I'm just spraying water from a misting bottle. It helps extend the drying time in the paint, and can help reactivate "slightly dried" acrylic paint to help blending. You have to use minimal amounts of water though because too much will make the paint run, or come off the canvas.
A wonderful meditative experience that I've enjoyed for years now. Love the visual, the process, the passion, and the music. Exquisite soundtrack. The whole thing comes together beautifully. Thank you.
WOW!! I love the way you demonstrated your painting, you make it seem so easy, will let you know, my next day off!! I love the music!! Together a beautiful symphony of heart and soul! Thank you!!!
Its funny people say they see things in clouds and i totally see a face in this painting. Its a side shot and looks so regal. He starts painting it at 3;40 (middle, look a little left and i see the face for the next 30 seconds or so. Anyone else see this or is it just we each see it different. Thats my little tid bit but this is another amazing creation from Mr Gagnon. He is my absolute favorite artist. His misty forests are breath taking.
MAn ! This is a lot of work ! I mean , the result is fantastic , but I dont know if I could stay concentrated for so long on the cloud , without making it a mess at the end ! Great job , as always , Tim !!! :) :) :)
First time I have seen someone paint clouds the same way I do (funny, I also use a plate for a pallet). You inspire me to get back into painting again, thank you.
Hi, I am an Art tutor and you look just like one of my pupils, it is uncanny. Your technique is very good and effective. It is not easy to paint in acrylics with the drying time so minimmal but your spraying water helps. I do Acrylic, Oils and Waercolours...(.with classes being so diverse etc) I like your style...Keep it up...Many thanks, Mervyn
What a beautiful picture. I paint, but I am only a beginner. I do enjoy it though. I have done pretty good in what I have done and now I am working on an ocean scenery from a photo that I took this past Spring.
Loved your video. There was one area of your clouds at the bottom middle left that looked like a head. As you developed that section the head changed twice more from a head with hair in a bun to a childs face to an old man with a long chin. Really neat.
music may be nethis but i dont believe from the steady album. nice work tim,im still trying the clouds and havnt yet come close . my favorite cloud painter!
I had ONE painting that my clouds turned out so good, I could not believe I did it. Now I cannot remember how I did it.I guess you just touch the canvas with love of painting.
+Lee Rice just follow the light and shadows my friend . small circular movements with light on on side . always remember from where your light comes from and use the shadow to bring everything out .

Every time I see him paint, it just magically makes me feel better when i am currently feeling down.
Check out my works, hoping to uplift you as well!

Amazingly realistic. A lot of time and patience needed with your talent. Many thanks.

Tim do you also use a retarder, extender or blending medium as well?

By the end I was like....HOLY...POOP. that's so amaxing!
This is beautiful but I think the front clouds give out this sense of solidness instead of air. Though great work. Really impressive.
